After 20 years I finally became a Youtube partner, and monetized my channel. Buy a bronze, silver, or gold membership to support my work. The more people join, the more work I will put in and the money will be used for administrative costs, couple thousand a year for LLC fees, fast web hosting, etc
Next step: ads on videos. Not sure if I will be eligible due to its often illicit content.
Membership is easy, but monetizing my website with ads will still be in the cards depending on if it’s worth the hassle. But honestly not so sure how this would possibly be a good idea – because any person with a brain uses ad blockers!
Another route is sponsorship. We’ll see.
This isn’t as hard a step to take as I previously thought. Psychedelics aren’t just mainstream – they’re normie at this point. The edge is gone. I’ve mined out all the historical underground content, and the only direction beyond that is mainstream stuff like the viral Liberace feelin’ groovy video, more investigative journalism, and the steady drumbeat of memorials.
