Susannahpryce-TDC – Mighty Quinn Label release party at Club ABC

First DJ Set: Niki
Mighty Quinn Record’s “Beauty and the Beast” release party
Mighty Quinn Records was developed out of our respect for music and the people who make it. Our goal is to release psychedelic music by quality artists that have not yet been released, or just had a few release s on some other labels. We want to make sure that worthy underground track s of trance music are released and heard by the people who support the scene and the psy-movement. We also and always plan to release new upcoming artists who we believe should be heard. Mighty Quinn is committed to providing the best possible quality sound for the sake of both the listener and the artists. Sound Transmitters are: WIZACK TWIZACK (Sweden- Stoneage records/ Namaha records) LIVE SET Tommy Axelsson has been touring the globe, taking us on wild sonic excursions with his powerful trademark forest sounds! With years of experience playing massive parties across the seas and a number of releases on respected record labels, Wizack Twizack has established himself among the top Scandinavian producers. Through his journeys, Tommy has further developed his style and defined his sounds, the result of which is fresh and cutting edge psytrance, drenched with powerful acid melodies. Wizack’s twisted new style features classic Goa influenced sounds fused with his unique and heavy forest groove. Dead End will have you adventuring through an audial galaxy, a vast tapestry which has been knitted together by none other than yours truly. The tracks capture a cosmic spectrum of sonic frequencies, from chaotic liquid atmospheres to thundering basslines with a hard attitude. Relentless, with driving grooves and boiling to the brim with rich psychedelic sounds, Dead End reminds us that true harmony can only be found within chaos. Let Wizack take you to the dead-end of our universe and launch you off the edge! Let the games begin! MuktIsvar a -(Mighty Quinn/ Lycantrop Rec)[Russia / NYC] LIVE SET MuktIsvara is a project started by Isvara and Mukti in 2003. Isvara is a direct descendant o f Genghis Khan and was raised by wolfs in the steps of Mongolia until he was fifteen when an ancient mountain shaman found him and taught him the magic arts of music. He has been stumbling around in the fifth dimension until he mysteriously appeared in Times Square with a 15-foot long beard. No one noticed. Mukti was born in Russia and earned his degree in quantum physics at the age of thirteen and was hidden by the KGB in the deep tundra. He served the Soviet government in a secret underground physics laboratory until we were able to escape to New York. With Isvara’s animal instincts and innate musical talent and Mukti’s technical skills, they are able to produce music to conquer dark spirits. Their shoe sizes are nine and a half and ten respectively. MuktIsvara debut release on Mighty-Quinn Records V/A “Beauty and The Beast” web mightyquinnrecords DJ NIKI aka Asmodeus (Japan- Mighty Quinn Rec) DJ SET Niki is the co-owner of Japan-based record label mighty Quinn records. Yeah, that was just what I needed!!!! Unfortunately, I had to leave early cuz of my friends, but at least I head Wizack and the dude after (who was that??) both sets had me dancin’ my ass off!! I love Wizacks style and how we work in those subtle, creepy melodies over the relentless percussive action. Great music, great party, as usual, TDC did a great job!! was great! thanks to all the people who showed up.. great vibes! smashing set by muktisvara.. really insane stuff.. like always good work buy TDC <3 hope I cya guys sometime again! ..arrived at around 12am with muktisvara spinning some killer tunes..not too many ppl had arrived then amazing sound system and a nice spot to have a party deco could have been better but the music made up for it completely. Twizak took the decks by 1.30ish and after that it was havoc!!!the crowd had come in by then and the place was bouncing with full power! his music…. I’ve been trying to describe it but I think the best way to put it is in his own words “full-on dark” an absifukinlutely beautiful set that took me on a one of a kind journey. His set was a perfect blend of fat base and beautiful/creepy melodies and samples. rocking..great mixing as well. a totally unique sound and style Tommy it was such a pleasure meeting you good luck! ur music is kick ass! lots of smiling faces all around which was great. big shout out to my friends who were there – you make it fun every time thank you TDC and I look fwd to ur next event ps: but please no more $5 water!!! too expensive Hello freakz!! Thanx a lot to the team and Muktisvara for this event. And yes on the flyer I was promoted as a Japanese Dj but actually, I’m from Russia. Big boom and see you all again. it was indeed a power punch party … the sound was just killa ( when in the restroom had a feeling that the walls might fall apart ) !!! I could feel the dark sounds traveling each tiny path, finally reaching the top of my head, where they exploded in glorious patterns of color big ups to all the artists: Mukti Isvara , Wizack Twizack and Dj Niki for the wonderful music !! keep it real bros

What a wonderful gathering. The space we elevated in has been used by the T.S. crew for 7 yrs. and you can feel the love that has generated this community into one of my fav places to come to. The deco was amazing as always with Goa Devotee on the scene. His artwork is fabulous. The music was astounding and the vibes where high. No matter where you were, big smiles and happy feet. Thanks to all the dancers for your energy and see you all in the near future, Bom And a big thanks to you Rich, and to Mike. Fully packed dancefloor from start to stop, lots of good energy, and no getting shut down by the cops. Score! Sadly I laid down and fell asleep at the very end, so I missed the last little bit. Oh well. Two more times to do it again. Can’t wait! I must say The Dokta and Curran know how to keep the floor moving excellent sets by both! Alex played an awesome set – a track from every year fucking perfect. Fuzz you really know how to pick tracks, good thing you learned from the best. LOL

BROOKLYN, NY
It was great seeing all my old friends and new faces @ CLUB EXIT, I really like to playing @ these trance party’s cause the energy level was so high /positive, it makes a set so much easier, having just played @ PACHA were those HOUSE SNOBS could not match the good vibe I walked into …anyways…all-around great kick-ass party. I must apologize to the DJ who played before me (don’t know his name) I guess they should have posted beforehand our time slots so we did not have to go through all the DRAMA between me and you…I’m really, really sorry bro. But all in all, it was great seeing everybody. KEEP IT REAL. walked in when ctrl+alt+del was spinning. killed the flooor completely not only with his set but his energy & interaction with the crowd was amazing. I really look fwd to hearing him spin more often and after that hmmm it just wasn’t the same the music was not consistent, some parts good and some parts just blah. it was like I would get lifted up with the music and then it would drop down and just kept going down down down. but great to see all my friends who I haven’t seen in a long while…… big shout out to lokey n gang- thanks cant wait for the next big BOMB drop by Alladin Tony Unorthodox spun some great tunes in the room upstairs. Does anyone have his contact? I want to ask for a promo mix. I mean this guy is consistent with amazing tunes at all parties. Hehe. This party made me realize something. I went with a friend who had never been to a psy party. She felt like all the music was about inner turmoil. At one point the way the music escalated made her scream. She said this music is for mad people. (I wonder what would happen if she saw LAB last week) Then we realized that psytrance is my domineering girlfriend. It’s like every party I am having an intense conflict with a lover, and we are chasing each other around. Hehe Anyway, I am glad I had this experience it just makes me think twice about what this music is really saying. My friend doesn’t believe that there is any life in the tracks, like it is all digital and lacking organic samples. I have been in love with music for years I wonder if me and psytrance should see other people. I guess we will just have to wait and see. OK, I had a generally good time at this party, great seeing old friends, etc., but I’m annoyed by the direction Alladin parties have taken. First off, $35 at the door? For a party that ends at 6? Weak! Especially since the flyer announced “doors open til 7!” Not to mention that the tel # given to buy “cheap(!)” $25 presales was disconnected on the day of the event. I mean, come on… No Zion? What happened? Does anyone notice these details? And Alladin people: you had a whole posse of EXCELLENT DJs on-site who could have closed the show. Instead, the promoter got up and spun following Bamboo, oblivious to the fact the mixer levels were set so high as to overdrive the system, resulting in a half-hour of staticky, crackling torture! Would it have been too much to let Luis spin some full-on? Luis, Ray, Tony, Enertopia (w00t!), CTRL-Alt-Del: Fantastic job, great talent. Club Exit is my favorite venue in the city, and I love the music and vibe at Alladin project parties. But this is getting to be a little much. The organization of the party was so slipshod as to seem contemptuous.

ive been trying to put into words the amazing energy at this party …but still cant……….soon I just want to thank the Alladin crew for not canceling even tho the location was changed last minute and the party closed earlier. it was great seeing all the old and new faces and kill it together with all of you!! till next time.. Great energy and positive vibes all! Loved how Earworm (?) killed it at the end with the time he had All we needed for an after-party was an iPod docking system on the street. Next time o here goes..my synopsis of the night.. got there at 11.30pm not knowing what to expect since the venue had changed. fancy loungeish looking place with ken spinning some nice tunes.. the sound was decent but the clubbish lights annoying. not too full but slowly and steadily the crowd came in (phewwwww) and ken’s tempo picked up. ken what was that song that had the flute in it- awesome u did an amazing job and I look fwd to hearing u more very soon. then came Brandon- as always flawless set with a rocking track selection. the energy on the dance floor was rising and the place was packed with smiles dtek- not my kind of music but everyone was just so happy to be there dancing together that the energy level just kept growing logic came on next and WOWOWOWO super start and perfect ending with one track esp.where everyone went insane…. what was that track? it’s still ringing in my ears!!! I was in front with all my friends and there was soo much energy- insane.by this time my legs were killing me but there was no stopping……. sad that it was such a short set but something better than nothing and then…..logic a hard act to follow but who to do it better than earworm max u killed it totally in the time u had…amazing and like Luis said no words I think it was amazing how everyone came in not knowing what to expect with all the last minute changes but made the best of a fantastic night a big shout out to the BOSTON crew..who drove down/took the bus for an event that got over much earlier than expected. see you guys soon big shout out to ALL my favorite ppl- as always thanks for a beautiful time ( u all know who u r) till next time..au revoir Kudos to the Alladin crew for pulling it off at the last moment! Logic Bomb was incredible! Lots of killer remixes were played that brought back memories of the good old days. I think he played yet another new remix to their old track –> Earth Orbit. That was surely a KILLLLEEERRR! And of course, EarWorm created twilight style mayhem even though his set lasted for a short while. When will I get to hear your complete set MAX? We really have to do a back-to-back set once and create some serious balagaan hahaha! My only regret – I was not there to see KeN for spinning the decks! I am sure he did a fantastic job. I hope to hear your set in the near future bro! As always it was nice to meet all my friends from Boston and NYC. You guys always make the parties killer! Until next time….B0o o0M

Featuring NY’s best DJ’s and producers at the amazing Sullivan Room! Featuring DJ sets by: Twitterpate (awake Productions, NYC) Hunter was first bitten by the psytrance bug in New York City, and – utterly inoculated – pursued it across the Atlantic, from the meadows of Britain to the bOoMing deserts of Portugal to the forests of Spain. With an insatiable hunger for beats and tweets he began to plant his own sonic seeds, and has been producing and DJing psytrance for over a year. Out of his infectious rhythmic pulses and creative sound-debauchery sprout emerald thickets of induced auditory hallucinations, vines of aural pixillation coiling down the edges of psychoacoustic possibility. Though you can take the hunter out of the forest, you can’t take the forest out of the Hunter. Great mixing and some killer tracks. Thanks for playing the request And the last track- MADNESS !!!!! Small crowd but as always Sullivan room has such a nice warm positive energy. Nice to see everyone who came out. Thanks a ton again Luis. Left 3am: HAPPY Current situation: passing out at work Thanks for the kind words and the support yet again I’m so glad that you made it that night. I know Luis had you cornered on that one hahaha It was great to see you on the dancefloor! I’m glad that I was (hopefully) able to convert the crankiness into happiness. And yeah, it was my pleasure to play that track! It fit perfectly into my set. A suggestion – why don’t you start DJ-ing? NYC needs some killer Djanes and you’d be perfect for that role haha… Also, thanks to everyone who came and made that night awesome! As Sana says, ot was filled with nice warm positive energy! ~B0o0o0M~

hey guys u can bring your own alcohol and we will have some too. forgot to write last time, there is a billiard and smoking room. hey guys sorry for the misunderstanding, its going to b on SATURDAY midnight this is a perfect indoor party place. hope we can do it again there. thanks organizers, especially Vova for making it happen. I really loved the new pieces of art I saw. Music was great. thanks Karmakanik and our international guests. Fragletrollet killed it in the end when lights went on. party was so so came in when baba jelly was playing he killed it super psy after that fragletrollet played a bit strange musik but good psy would be better to listen to him outside in forest the sound was really bad sorry the bass was way too hard could not hear any of the highs the space was kewl very underground anyways good party all in all bom it’s mind-blowing to release the sauna heat while dancing recklessly on the floor – dehydration management to new heights, and afterward chillout in beach gear. I mean that’s a true gift for the noo yawk psyscene! music was not only great but was flowing smoothly towards the floor, and the combined energy, just amazing! I had a great party, thought there was killer vibes on the floor.. everyone seemed to do their own thing at the beginning taking advantage of the pool and sauna and ish and then once that was over some great dancefloor action Baba Jelly’s set was good and I thoroughly enjoyed fraggletrollets set, thought it was very original, even though the lights going on Spa 88 was a killer place to party and I hope this place is used many times more, one of the best indoor spots I’ve been to in NYC. WOW! That was the best idea EVER. I don’t think I want to go to any more psytrance parties unless they are at a spa…. My face hurts from smiling all night, the sauna to the ice pool, to the hot tub, to the pool, to the dance floor, repeat, ah it was pure bliss~~ Thank you so much to the artists, as well as Mukti, Sergei, Uta, Vova, Chay and everyone else who helped put on this very fun, entertaining and interesting event. I really hope there will be more parties like this! I have never felt so relaxed at work on a Monday! What healing energy. THANK YOU!! pictures coming soon

Boston Tribal Revolution (BTR) proudly presents OSMOSIS What : OSMOSIS Where : Therapy @ Providence, RI ( 45 mins from Boston) Who: You! When: 18th April, 2008 Time : 11 pm – 7 am Mark your calendars!! More details TBA. Need volunteers for the following: 1. Deco ( Tapestries, string work etc etc ) 2. Sound ( the club has sound but we may need additional sound ) Email: agarwal.saket@gmail.com or PM Peace Psytrance Arena Ctrl + Alt + Del (Nexus Media, IN/NYC) Ctrl+Alt+Del is the psytrance project of Vishaal Turakhia from Bombay (India). His project aims at producing top-notch intelligent twilight blasters that will tweak the brain! The project’s 1st track was signed by Shift for Nexus-Media’s compilation – Midnight Storm III. Ctrl+Alt+Del is ready to explode onto the global psytrance scene! Earworm ( 3D Vision, NYC) EarWorm is the psy project of Max Meshiv, born in 1986. He was infected by the psychedelic trance virus at a young age in Israel…and now resides in NYC to infect others. Around 2002 he and his older brother Noam started to work on music together on a computer-based music software…it was more of an experimental stage and development. What started as a hobby eventually took on a more serious path, which also brought in lots of magical and mysterious experiences along with it. That mixed with an explosion of inspiration and…BooM! the EarWorm project was born. The project in itself is aimed towards wizardly magical futuristic nighttime-twilight psychedelic frequencies in an attempt to bring about awareness to the listener while causing pure psychedelic mayhem to the dancer….Tune in to the frequency of everywhere and nowhere and get Earwormed… DJ Luis Campos ( Dreamcatcher/Alladin Group, BR/NYC) DJ Luis Campos, producer and long-time trance DJ, born and raised in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil where he started his professional career as a DJ at a very early age of 13. Throughout the years, Luis experimented with many different styles of music and developed his identity along the road. DJ Luis was part of the band Influx since its foundation in 1996, in which he collaborated until 1999 when he decided to come to New York. In 2000, DJ Luis and collaborators founded the Dreamcatcher studios and Psycheground weekly trance party which still happens and is getting into its 100th birthday party in July. His excellent mixing and great knowledge of music have taken him to the best clubs in Brazil, Japan, Italy and USA. He has participated in big outdoors events in Brazil such as Love Parade, and innumerous trance festivals in the US such as Gaia MInd and Orb Festival, also has released the cd AMP (MTVBrasil). Recently, DJ Luis joined Alladin Group; one of the most respected Psytrance party organizations as the resident DJ, becoming highly respected for his energetic groundbreaking sets of Fullon sounds that flow through the dance floor in harmony with his signature blend mixing. DJ Rafael ( soul sounds, BR/BOS ) It all began to me back in the late ’90s, I was 16, and just starting to enjoy the nightlife of clubs, big rave parties, the Brazilian electronic music scene. Back then, techno, house, and all their different elements are growing really fast, and I became interested in learning some mixing techniques, so at the end of 1999 I decided to take DJing classes, and 2 years later I was playing in a couple of nightclubs of Sao Paulo. I found out about Psytrance about 7 years ago, and have been making my way into it since then. I played in several open-air, private, rave parties and last year I joined the crew of Tranced Festival of Sao Paulo which I still have, even being away now. I would say I have a very versatile style, eclectic maybe (taking where I’m from!) that goes from soft to hard, with lots of groove, beat, ethnic sounds. I believe that every sound that around us can and should be inspiring to be put into harmony and transcend into music. Chill Arena OpenSourceCode (NYC) Live /DJ Dub Reggae is created by running the multi-track tapes of pop-reggae songs into a mixing board and performing a radical re-mix in real-time. The vocals are de-emphasized or eliminated altogether while the drums and bass take over the mix. Add in some echo and reverb, and you’ve got dub. But what if you could get the multi-tracks of Marvin Gaye or Stevie Wonder? What if you could dub the Doobie Brothers, as well as dozens of classic reggae riddims? Well then, you’d be OpenSourceCode. We hope you enjoy the show! Morning glory (ParanoidZen, MA) Morning Glory just hit the downtempo scene in 2007 and has been creating a sacred space for event patrons to relax and enjoy their experience. Boston has been lacking a woman with an ear for chillout, and she knows what you want to hear. Vector (ParanoidZen, MA) DJ Vector started spinning in 2001 upon his discovery of rave culture, and his addiction to tribal rhythms. Four years later, as his interest in these fast-paced musical styles began to wane, he found himself drawn to slower tempos and in 2006 was called upon by forces of extra-dimensional, gaian, and extra-terrestrial origin to play only the most amazing and obscure chilled out music for all those who would listen. Anna-Karahana (Sonic Beating, MA) A friendly member of the Sonic Beating crew, Anna-Karahana has been involved in the electronic music scene in New England since 2000 as an avid fan, deco artist, DJ, and party planner. She will take you on a trip around the world with stops at world-beat, IDM, dubstep, ambient, and psychill beats. More Info OSMOSIS: the movement of water molecules from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration. We at Boston Tribal Revolution (BTR) feel that just as Water diffuses itself from one cell membrane to another so effortlessly, each of our souls must Realize our potential and merge with one another without the feeling of Duality, Greed and Lust. Through Osmosis, we want to promote Oneness, Purity and a platform where Soul meets Soul. 18 Plus event. No Liquor.
Review: Deco : Thanks be to Lhea, Jeff, David, ParanoidZen, Rafa and so many more who did a fab job decorating the psytrance room and the chill room. Sound: Impeccable. There was not a beat that went amiss. The sound was as crisp as it gets. Music: Experience can never be reflected in black and white but I’ll try Rafael : The guy laid a brilliant set to get the floor moving. I was mostly at the entrance but the sound was so clear that I was literally dancing like a blissful maniac. Max: Killer! Whoa! The music was filtered through a dark tunnel in a tribal forest. Luis: Man, this guy was effortless in the transition. What a class act. Just took the entire paradigm a notch higher. I could see people getting tired but his music was like a magnet. Nobody left the floor and continued the mayhem. Vishaal: hohoho! He doesn’t need to play psytrance. He could get away with anything because his presence is so infectious. He was non-stop behind the console and the music was just friggin brilliant. I don’t think the Bpm ever dropped the entire night. I was not present in the chill room for long durations but whenever I went in, I could see at least 10-15 people soaking the minimalist and very experimental psy chill. Great work Vector, Anna, OpensourceCode( Cooper) and MorningGlory. I must mention the dub mix by Cooper of Superstition- Stevie Wonder was absolutely groovy. The entire chill room was setup by ParanoidZen crew and they were a constant support from scratch till the end. Fabulous people. Dancers : Sana Jo was all over the place. There was none at the party who escaped her killer instincts and beautiful smiling face. I could feel that she is tired but our lady was unstoppable. Dudu , Vishal Kapoor, Mike, Mystery lady with a tie, mystery man with incense stick, aricka, david, jeff and countless others. Actually come to think of it, there was none who did not offer to the mystical deity. Overall, the night of 18th April holds a special place in my heart. Can’t put a finger to it but there was something in the air. I am already imagining the next one. Bom
Party was killer all the way.. club Therapy is an awesome place BOOM to saketh and jeff and the other orgs you did a good job with the party organizing and deco+visuals music was nice .. people were great.. all the DJs were good.. I personally came to see Luis and vishall and they were great as well as the other DJs. I loved ctrl+alt+del set.. it was mayhem.. full of energy and twilight power.. my style.. and when he played FLUX CAPACITOR at the end it was insane.. all in all you destroyed THERAPY bro keep it up..BTW vishal.. where and when you killing next.. Looking forward to the next BTR party.. hope its at therapy… Anyway peace to all the DJs, organizers and psypeople… Alakh BOOM Kudos to Boston Tribal Revolution for this splendid party! I traveled to RI by bus with Luis. The trip was simply agonizing, but once I reached Therapy, I realized it was well worth it haha! At 1st glance, the venue looked incredible. It reminded of the warehouse-style parties back in Bombay! The decor was fantastic. And of course, the sound system was killer. The acoustics of the place were a bit off, but it hardly mattered. Everyone was on the dancefloor having a great time! Unfortunately, I missed Rafael’s set due to a “Greyhound” delay. I came in at the very end of his set. But I could see that he had the place pumping with a lot of energy! After that EarWorm came on. Max needs no introduction – he simply tore up the floor 3D Vision style Luis – caralho! Your mixing/track-selection skills always blow my mind. You could do this in your sleep man haha! Ghorpad – Thanks for coming Vishal. I’m really glad you had a good time at the party. Thanks for the support. BTW – I’m officially changing the name of “Flux Capacitor” to “Organized Chaos” in your honor And of course, thank you SANA. She was the one who introduced me to the BTR crew. Thanks for being an awesome booking-agent. Also thanks for bringing your MAD-NON-STOP energy to the dancefloor. Finally – thanks to everyone for the compliments and kind words. I appreciate as always. I hope to spin for you guys in the near future. Saket, thanks for adding me to the fantastic line-up. It was an honor to spin for you! Much Love and Respect, Vish

Forum upgraded, fixed, polished Hey guys, there were major housecleaning issues with the forum on traceam.org. After much delay everything is working as it should, antispam mods have been added in that actually work. Give it a try, it’s finally bug-free and what I had wanted all along. Better late than never! Direct link from tranceam.org web tranceam.org/phpbb/index.php And your post s are RSS’d to the top of the tranceam.org main page, so if you’re organizing events, this is a great place. A code has been added when you register to prevent spambots. Anyone can register and post freely immediately once of course, they type in Hoffman’s first name 😛 Finally, thousands of probable spambot users were deleted from the memberlists. If you are one of the unlucky few that registered within the past year or so that were undeleted, you’ll have to re-register.

The reoccurring theme of this year’s festival was mystical occurrences….from the lightning strike to the mystery virus, pouring rain to close the festival, and supposed UFO sighting 😉 just to mention a few…the whole alien scheme was well crafted, cleverly synchronized to a couple of rastaliens being in attendance speaking of rastaliens, they delivered some true magic Sunday morning, not even worthy of an attempt to describe. every set I heard was top-notch – quality music from start to finish. aside from rastaliens, kaiser soze really stood out for me with some deep, intelligent yet groovy undefinable tracks and the EVP/Avalon finale in the rain was really the icing on the cake! as usual, there was so much more beyond the music. Gaian Mind brings out the best people from all corners of the continent, and even the globe. it was great to see many old, current, and new faces. everything was run professionally, once again raising the bar. whatever the cost was, it was truly a bargain… that’s just a brief synopsis. thank you to everyone who made this happen and hope to see you again next year this was my 5th Gaian Mind festival is as many years and represented the all-time highs and lows I have experienced there. Melanie and I arrived Wednesday evening with sunny and vincent in tow (mahiane and aes dana), two of the kindest, mellowest souls you will ever meet. they were immediately taken aback by the sheer beauty of the land and the unabashed friendliness of the people. the seeds for a lovely weekend had already been sown. we set up camp in the north crook near the downtempo stage and I must say I was absolutely blown away by the deco job in the chillout. I knew my friends dave and marria had been working on their art for over 3 months and it really showed. great job guys! Adolphe’s interactive lightbox was also a big hit. the deco on the main stage was equally amazing with Julien’s resplendent tapestries adorning the stone circle alongside steve-o’s skillfully manipulated stretch fabric. I particularly liked the matrix-like grid banner behind the DJ booth. if that wasn’t enough, Guillaume’s visual projections provided yet more candy for the eyes. there was so much to do during the day that you just had to get over the fact you were always missing something. from the many workshops, the sweat lodges, the psychedelic strip mall (vending area), the swimming hole, one was never at a loss for keeping busy. I loved the slow steady buildup over the course of the week, how Wednesday night was just the drum circle, then more minimal/progressive stuff on Thursday night in the north crook, finally building to a giant cosmic crescendo with the trance stage on Friday night. musically there were so many highlights. in the north crook, supergalactic expansive stole the show with their glitched-out new-age take on contemporary trip-hop. kilowatts of course is always spectacular. the ultimae crew certainly held down their rep as some of chillout’s finest purveyors. sunny and vincent’s DJ set Friday morning, and all of their back to back to back live sets Saturday afternoon were wondrous in their beauty. other sets I really enjoyed included saturnia, gift culture, ben’s tribal/ragga, and whoever was playing Sunday morning as I passed out in the hookah tent! every set I heard Thursday night was stellar, from Pedro’s bouncy grooves, to alex’s minimal techno, to Henshaw’s proggy goodness. back up on the main stage, deet really kicked the party off right with a great opening set. freedom played a nice set as well, transitioning from full-on into nighttime madness, just in time for psyops’ dancefloor destruction. had to retire back to the chillout by that point, but made it back up Saturday morning to catch the end of treavor’s set and just in time for solar fields’ trance set. wow, what morning magic that was. definitely one of my favorite sets from the festival. Saturday night started with equal aplomb thanks to tony’s smooth electro opening. fractal phono played a great transitioning set, starting out with some minimal organic grooves and phasing into more full-on territory. I don’t think anyone who was there will forget the lightning strike right in the middle of a breakdown! Lauryn took over from there and took the music into darker realms as the rainstorm let up. EVP played another nice nocturnal set, but still with the bouncy fun factor that is missing from so much darkpsy imo. then rastaliens, good lord, these guys just took it to another level. had the whole dancefloor going nuts and just kept cranking up the intensity. one of the best sets I have ever witnessed in the stone circle. unfortunately, it was at this juncture that I became stricken with the sickness. after rastaliens, I went back to camp and spent the rest of the day recuperating. I am as disappointed as everyone with 4Q’s response to the outbreak (or lack thereof). I have defended them in the past, because I felt that despite their often stern demeanor if you treated them and their land respectfully they would treat you with respect in turn. I did not see that happen this year. what I witnessed was inexcusable. it is doubly sad because this year could have and should have been the greatest in the history of the festival. all the elements were in place. now it will forever be tainted with memories of sickness and ill health. my heart goes out to all the Gaian Mind organizers who worked tirelessly over the course of a year to craft the best possible trance festival experience. a huge thank you to all the artists, DJs, visionaries, healers, speakers, workshop instructors, volunteers, builders, and helpers who fashioned such a great environment. it should be remembered that all obstacles are opportunities for growth, change, and renewal. let us bask in the positives while using the negatives to improve the future. WOW! I have been to all 7 Gaian Mind festivals, volunteered at 6 and I feel this was by far the best one! The deco was beautiful from Julien’s brilliant & gorgeous, strikingly turquoise and purple designs and cleverly framed stage deco, to Steve-O’s always magnificent stretch fabric everywhere you look. More visuals than you even have time to feast your eyes on. The wonderful dragon and flowers from the Waking Dream guys, thank you! and for the “ufo” The chillout was spectacular! Thank you so much Dave and Marria, you guys really outdid yourself this year. Adolphe your lightbox rocked, it was really cool to have an interactive piece for people to play with. I saw quite a few people amazed by it! The chai tents were really nice and colorful this year,. the hookah lounge was a great addition,. so was the beautifully decorated healing area. I loved how the walkway was lit up going into the chillout by Shane’s always stellar art. The green laser was a really touch up in the trees. I can’t say enough of the deco, it goes up and up a notch or two every year! The vending area was great this year too, so many of our creative crew getting out there and sharing their special designs. I added a few new pieces to my wardrobe. Also so many workshops!! It was so great, you could never get bored, between the yoga, dancing, drumming, belly dancing, hooping, juggling, and craft workshops, as well as all of the talks. Thank you to everyone that offered your time to run a workshop, every one of you is what makes the whole experience that much more special. ArcheDream was fantastic as always!! The music was my favorite this year too, and I missed much more then I would have liked too. Sorry Ultimae, and wahhhh, I only caught a little bit of you guys, I went upstairs and never made my way back down.. I was on my way to see Solar Fields which I wanted to so badly and got sidetracked, sometimes duty calls… What I did hear, Deet, perfect opening set for Friday, after a night in the chillout with Alex’s phenomenal minimal techno set and Pedro’s super fun electro, progressive dancy fun set, we were ready to start off Friday with exactly what Deet gave us. Thursday was perfect, it was really wonderful to have the chillout area used as the main stage for a night. I had never seen so many people in the chillout at once! Freedom was really good too but I only caught part of his set, I think I went to sleep after that… I really liked Psylab, my first time hearing them, Super Galactic Expansive and of course Kilowatts were super fantastic incredible!! People were rushing the stage for free CDs. You won’t hear anything quite like them at the festival and they blow my mind if you like fresh intelligent lyrical styles mixed with fly ass beats you should check out their myspace page – http://www.myspace.com/supergalacticexpansive ! I really enjoyed Tony Unorthodox’s opening set on Saturday and well Rastaliens, E.V.P., Reality Grid, and Braincell stole this show for me. Ekoplex and Onnomon totally rocked it too. I loved the first 2 techy songs Onnomon did, sweet!!! I couldn’t stop dancing, made it back up in the there in the morning after the really scary thunderstorm and the loudest thunderclap and whitest brightest light I have ever seen. I have to say it was quite energizing although really frightening to almost have the main dance area hit by a bolt of lightning….. The full moon, the strange sickness… There was something odd going on this year, but it was still a great year, the best year, an oddly magical year?… leaves you wondering., and definitely not forgetting… So sorry so many people got ill, the volunteers kicked ass this year, staying strong through all of it, helping each other out where needed. Thank you to everyone! This was a challenging year, not sure where to go from here. The parties will only get better, but some things need to change. I definitely did not appreciate getting a fair warning that this could even happen, and I don’t like how people were charged for staying an extra day when they were too ill to drive. The security issue will need to be looked into as well. But hey, there were definitely very amazing moments this year! I hope they don’t get overshadowed by a strange virus that we had no control over. Things like this happen all the time on cruise ships, etc and we will make very precaution we can so that it won’t happen again. Much love to all of you, I hope you feel better soon (It usually lasts at least 48 hours, sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more, so hang in there). I got it too, but a much milder version of it didn’t start until Tuesday… Here are a bunch of great moments to remember! Enjoy! http://www.flickr.com/photos/orbicles/sets/72157605803058331/ ~orbicles~ so it was probably something in the water> I am no genius, but it doesn’t take too much to figure this out. Almost everyone got sick. Well, you might say you didn’t drink the water from the well, but you probably had some free coffee or tea from the coffee dragon. I am pretty sure they didn’t actually go and buy all the clean water that would be enough to supply a thousand people with enough water for 4 days. That would cost them way too much and would be too much effort renting trucks and manpower to do that. I for sure didn’t see any water gallons by the coffee dragon. Maybe you didn’t get any coffee or tea and didn’t drink water from the well, and you are still wondering how you got sick, well it could be because you were eating their meal plans. I don’t know what they were making, cause I didn’t eat there, but I will take a wild guess and say that at least something was made with water. If you are still not convinced, because you didn’t drink coffee, tea, water from the well, and didn’t eat their food, and still got sick, it’s probably because you went to the bathroom, hopefully, washed your hands, and eventually touched your mouth, or eye, or nose. Maybe you even took a shower and got some contaminated water in your mouth. I stayed there until Monday, and when I went down to wash the dishes there was the worst smell ever. It smelled like a septic tank and there were no potter potties or bathrooms there. As soon as I got back to my camping area to start packing up, I started feeling sick. As we packed we saw two instances of people pulling over to puke out of their cars. Pretty ugly scene. I had a great time there, and will be more careful next time. That being said, SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR Hello everyone, I just put in a call to the Bedford County PA Dept of Health and talked to a nice Nurse there. She said I was the first person she has heard from about this incident. She is going to call me back on Monday to discuss things further. She asked that I compile a list for her of different cases. I am going to email them to her on Monday, and hopefully, we can get a confirmation on exactly what this was. She asked for peoples age, date you got to the festival, when your symptoms started and what your symptoms were, also anyone that went to the Dr. and had a stool sample taken (this will greatly help in determining the cause, and she would be thankful if you could share this information with her). If you want to talk to her or just need someone to talk about this please call her: Her name is Debbie Sechrist – her # is 814-623-2001 and she also informed Bonnie Krampy her # 717-787-8092 in Harrisburg about the ordeal as well. She might not be in the office until Monday, but you can give her a try, or contact me and I can forward your information along with the email I am sending on Monday, or give you her email address. Thanks, I will keep everyone informed of what I hear. Hope everyone feels better real soon Melanie I agree that 4qts is a beautiful place and I will miss it if the location is changed, but the people who own the land are not right. For all of the money that they rake in from Gaian Mind, to treat the mostly respectful campers like they do is just not acceptable. First off, for them to pretend like they had no idea what was going on when the sickness broke out, when it had happened at events prior, is just wrong. And then to charge people who were too sick to drive home for an extra night! Their attitude on multiple occasions was negative and unfriendly. Pretty ironic for an inner faith sanctuary… If it’s held there again, I just hope before next year 4qts gets an attitude check, they should be thankful that Gaian Mind has thrown it’s festival there for the past what six or seven years now. Also, has it been determined that this is a virus? I don’t think so, some doctors I’ve been told think it may be a parasite, we won’t know until some lab results come in, and if any official ones have, then please share. The place is beautiful though, and it would be a shame to change, but some things need to be aDJusted with the 4qts people. just my opinion…Gaian Mind is too great of an organization and fest to have to put up with that bs. I was pretty damn sick for the better part of an entire week after first developing symptoms Sunday morning. Here’s my take: I’m no epidemiologist, but the argument that we just all infected each other is weak. If that happened everybody would have been getting sick gradually, in waves, over time, well into the week after the festival. That’s not what happened. All my friends and I got sick within hours of each other — as did dozens of other people I saw on Sunday. Since we all got sick around the same time, that implies we all got infected around the same time. Logically, this means something in the environment at 4Q (such as the water) was probably contaminated with the pathogen. I love 4Q and have always had good feelings about the staff. However, I feel that 4Q definitely has some responsibility for what happened (namely, a few hundred people getting sick), and from everything, I can tell are not stepping up and handling it. If this is going to be the case I will very seriously consider NOT returning to 4Q for future events. As much as I love GMSF (and the festival part of it was BADASS this year, btw), I do not wish to put my health at risk by spending time in an unsafe environment. I a great and blissful journey with my campmates, friends, new friends, and fellow trance dancers. Thursday nite grooves down at the North Crook stage was so ill and smooth. I dig it a lot! The Deco I feel was better than last years but loved last year’s just as well. This year I brought my own food and was glad because I was able to eat whenever I wanted to but I sure did have a great time last year eating with new and familiar faces. I missed most of Killowatts because I went to a workshop on subversive forces in our globalist world that last for 3 hrs but was worth it. The Opening was great, especially with the poem by that beautiful poet. Friday night at the stone circle was simply insane, maybe because of Psyops generous liquid offering, but I was left have spasms by 4am cause the beats were so brutal! I need some rest for the next night. Digitalist was off the hook. Freedom played the most tracks that I’ve own and I enjoyed Dragon’s own tracks as well. Aes Dana’s Sat. set was amazingly surreal. Sat/Sun. at the stone circle started off with bam, literally, after Tony Unorthodox’s groovy set. I actually need that delay so I could rest and last longer thru the morning and afternoon which happened to my delight. Brain Cell, Reality Grid, Ekoplex, and Onnomon were my high lights. I just love the vibe every Sunday morning. I never want to leave! I really appreciated all the long hrs and hard work the GM crew put into this festival. Friends with many of them, I know they sacrifice a good amount of playtime in order for this festival to be as wonderful as it is. Well, this was my 3rd Gaian Mind Festival.
I volunteered to work at the shop, and a few shifts at the stage this year – so I felt adequately involved. Thursday night’s techno in the North Crook was a brilliant way to start off the festival and I hope it can happen again. Seeing the area lit up for the first time that night was nothing short of pure eye candy. It was stunning all the way from the vertical string art reaching to the skies to the laser bugs dancing in the trees. What a perfect way to shake some midtempo ass before vibrating at more uptempo frequencies. The Stone Circle was a sci-fi cyberpunk bionic starship beaming aural prophetic transcriptions from distant galaxies into our earloberary faculties. I didn’t know tapestries could glow that bright. Totally badass! So, a lot of really wonderful music. I especially enjoyed Solar Fields, Mahiane, and Aes Dana. Gift Culture’s music was a perfect addition as well. As for the Stone Circle, I really dug Ekoplex and Onnomon. Freedom, PsyOps, and Dragon hit the spot. But only after Deet set it up perfectly. Friday, Anand and I debuted the Super Galactic Expansive sound we’ve been hammering away at o’er the last year. This festival and its many sounds/experiences/people are a prime inspiration. I also had a great time playing some of my older tracks during my set, and meeting friends from long ago. I did get sick, but not until Monday. Then I got sick this morning again, but that might’ve been the seitan I had last night. Part of the festival did have an ominous vibe. I felt the Reality Sandwich speakers were more grim than usual. The lightning strike was downright threatening. And the virus was sinister. And… I loved every minute of it. Sunday morning revealed a perfectly organized entanglement of dancing bodies that seemed to be telling a monolithic story of dire importance. Thanks to all who were there and all who are paying attention. It was fuckin’ awesome. Thanks, everyone! Can’t wait for next year… -Jamie This was by far the craziest Gaian Mind Festival I’ve attended in the 4 years I’ve been going (even more than 2006) the good, bad, and downright loopy- good loopines though. The music was only %40 of the festival for me this time around, there was so much happening within the 5 days there. The workshops were just downright wonderful-the riverside jam was a huge hit and big thanks to everyone who came out and added to the magic. I spent more time at the North crook than previous years and it made for some special times between meeting some awesome people at the hooka bar and meeting some super-special kiddies too! At night that it looked like something out of the Dark Crystal and me and my friend kept bugging out about the lazers on the trees and all of the toys to play with. The river was pure unadulterated bliss, I caught the end of a wedding in the healing area. Friday night sparked even more madness. PsyOps was sweet, I’ve been waiting to see Dragon for a long time and he was awwweeesome! He spread some nice sounds across the dance floor and had me stomping. I heard the other artist during my romantic moonlit stroll around the compound with my sweetheart until the morning. I wished that I could’ve walked around with a voice recorder that night just to catch all of the sounds that I heard. Everything from Russian folk songs over an accordion, UFO sightings, screaming, insane laughter, Sowa Flowa, strange conversations and music. Coral killed it with her new refreshing material, Trevor had me bouncing all over the place but I do wish his set was longer and Solar fields was so nice, I enjoyed both dancing to his music and just sitting back watching everyone groove to it while bathed in sunlight. The kids parade looked like SO much fun but my body was shutting down by that point, Archedream was good to see but they cut their material short this time, no? Missed all of Saturday night, didn’t miss the terrifying lightning storm though! (Was anyone else visited by a strange blinking white light after the tree was struck? No joke, some weird shit went down in my tent right after) Woke up to blue skies, heard the rest of Rastaliens, scrambled into a costume and onto the dance floor to catch some foot-stomping sets by Braincell, Ekoplex, Dan and Onnomon until my ADD kicked in and I wandered away again and missed the rain dance at the end I was busy packing up in the rain and had to hurry off to a very nauseous ride home. Me and my sweetie got a watered-down version of this virus, we just got nauseous and tired but thanks for the info everyone, Ben immediately left work after reading the info. The rest of my friends weren’t as lucky, some were sick at the festival and some after. One of my friends went home to her babies and she’s afraid she might spread it to them! For us, some fresh ginger boiled in water with a bit of honey really helps the tummy and black coffee helps to scrub out the other end. Shame on 4Q for doing nothing to stop this, I hope they plan on warning people for the Drum and Splash event coming up this weekend, probably not. Thank you to Allen, Melanie, Gaian Mind, Archedream, Waking dream and all of the Workshoppers, artist and performers, Oh and the merchants and anyone else who made this another special anuual event. Hands down the most energetic, tribal, psychedelic party attended by me in North America. The vibes, crowd, deco, art, workshops, food – all top-notch! I have never seen 300 ppl dancing at 9PM Friday night and at no point the crowd count went below 250. Had to leave early on Sunday morning but I am sure people rocked their socks off till late afternoon. Musically, the flow was just simply PERFECT. The whole of Friday night was dark, powerful and tribal ending with Kaiser Soze and Coral playing one of best morning sets and the icing on the cake was Treavor. Never before I have heard such progressive sounds. Perfect. Saturday night – I have no words to explain the music that was played. Had to miss the initial music due to rain but got in time to hear half an hour of Lauryn. WOW! And then EVP, Rastaliens, Braincell, Realitygrid…..just tuning your brainwaves to the right direction. Power all along. I didn’t move from the dance floor for their combined 8 hours of music. Had gone to see Rastaliens and Braincell (my fav acts) and was I impressed. Not one flaw in the whole set by any of the above-mentioned acts. Brilliant. Just honored to see those guys LIVE Probably the most sophisticated and intelligent crowd I have come across in a psy-party. Just wonderful and colorful. Going to be there next year for sure. Since I didn’t get the mystery virus, I guess I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Just perfect 4 days of my life. Will be dreaming about it for weeks to come. Regarding the “virus”, I don’t think we can necessarily blame 4QF for this. I felt the bug Saturday and I hadn’t eaten their food nor used their porta-potties. I did drink some of the local water though- a groundwater test is probably in order. It could have simply spread through shared smoke or close proximity. Luckily I had a few days to vibrate to the sounds. Thursday was amazing at the chill system, it was a “cocktail” party for 400. All sorts of electro bleeps and bloops by Pedro, Alex playing some delicious minimal tech, and Steve-O playing a set of sexy trancey tracks. The chill area really had some special moments including Super Galactic Expansive, the Ultimae crew, Grains of Sound, and Psylab, among others. Vibrated to Digitalist, dark and pummelling on Friday. Kudos to Jonathon PsyOps! I was in my tent and absolutely could not fall into dream state because the music was so off-the-hook! that bastard kept me awake. Woke up Saturday night, felt something not-so-good in my stomach but still managed to boogie a bit to EVP. Very fun and in that British tongue-in-cheek fashion. Not feeling so well I had to forgo the rest of the Saturday night dancing to rest for my Sunday noon set. Dazed in my tent, I could hear Rastaliens a bit. Let me tell you that they’ve upped the ante. Even in my very compromised listening posture, they sounded incredible- such continuity too! Sunday late morning was spent trying to regain energy, I was a bit worried that I’d be bolting out the back of the booth for a quick “offering” to soil. Fortunately, the crowd energy kept me safe with their energy. I had a good ‘ole time apart from being a bit wobbly on the mouse. This year the attendance took a quantum leap upward and undoubtedly certain aspects will be fine-tuned- namely incentives for collecting trash and recycling, and cigarette butts. thank you, everyone! boom! -dean here goes Musically, this festival was programmed musically as well as I can imagine. Both nights and both days and on both stages I heard nothing but top-notch, numero Ichiban sounds….. highlights for me were Killowatts/Supergalactic Expansive Explosive funkenness (?>?)..of COURSE Freedom’s Friday night dosage, PSYLAB on the North Crook who rocked the FUNK out around midnight…..the slithering slimy downright unreal sounds of Dragon dropping me straight into the zaikadelic realm of the dropout named digitalist whom shredded the sonic airwaves with the best of them… the morning that followed had my ass shrinking by the track….thanks to Coral and Treavor! Then I ate and chilled and slept….jumped in the river, chilled in the down below the rest of the day to the sounds of happy people, ate dinner, and went to sleep to recharge for the night ahead, said nap got a little extended by the downpour, then I was up and at em! From Lauren on through the fresh funk of EVP to the experience I can only call CHURCH with the Rastaliens/ Braincell/ Reality Grid group chunk…. I loved it all….. freakadelic full power Goaesque and downright Goan morning sounds (can they still be called that? sounds doesn’t quite fit anymore)….. and even with the sickness hitting me in the middle of braincell, I still had one of the best times vibing with the dancers and chunes nothing short of losing my legs could have stopped the dancing…..sadly though, the sickness grabbed ahold of me and sent me to my tent with my tail between my legs by the middle of ectoplex, and I slept through onnomon, who I’ll just say is one of my highlights because deans sets have pretty much always been on said list….. Glad I had the opportunity to stick around, help out as much as I could with Nick and Eitan and Jeremy and Jimmy and Sharron etc before my train left…. Perfect weekend and who’s to say projectile vomiting isn’t technically a psychedelic experience THANK YOU, EVERYONE, What can I say…it was a blast! Loved every bit of it. The location was pretty cool… always something going on to keep you busy… even when the music was not playing, you could feel that amazing energy all around, and you can’t help yourself but smile. I mainly looked forward to hearing Rastaliens and braincell, and I’m so glad they came back to earth … The deco @ the stone circle stage was pretty neat, loved the layout…and the chillout area was always nice to pass by, it also made a great companion while taking those warm showers … Thanks Gaian Mind, you guys did a fantastic job with organizing this event, it was put together very well. The only problem was a “few” of the 4Q staff, who gave us some shit prior to leaving the location…don’t want to get into details, but their behavior was pretty disgusting and unprofessional, to say the least…I really hope Gaian Mind will find new frontiers to throw future festivals at….cause I’m having big doubts about 4Q. And sorry to hear lots of people got sick, hope everyone is well by now. In conclusion…had a great time, thanks everyone… it was great to meet up with known friends, and make new ones in the process….keep on smiling people! Here are some pics from the event…not much, but better than nothing…..video coming soon My first Gaian Mind and it was awesome. Thursday Mahiane, Aes Dana, Solar Fields (chill DJ set) – I don’t have a lot of their tracks but it was all very good, ambient material. Alex Falk – Awesome. I never realized minimal techno was so good. Got a great dancefloor going. Friday I knew this night was going to be much more my style than Saturday so I stayed up and heard everything from Freedom to Solar Fields to Aes Dana at the chill afterward. Freedom – Best DJ set of the whole festival, other than Digitalist. Lots of my favorite tracks from Artifakt, Samadhi, Fungus Funk. Dragon – I had no idea that almost all he played was his own material until I talked to him afterward. Sounded extremely high quality for someone that’s only been producing for 1.5 years. The quality is up there with Arahat / Monks of Madness. Style is a little similar with less punchy, lower, deeper basslines and some playful elements — exactly what I like. PsyOps – Good. Digitalist – He played 3 hours live/DJ. Not sure how he transitioned from live to DJ, seems like he played about an hour live, then a mix of his and DJ, then finally put away his laptop 2:30 into it. At about 1:00 in he played an Ocelot track — the one with the sample “that’s right”. The first hour I thought was a little boring, not quite my style but still enjoyed it very much. The song structure was just too monolithic for my taste. The last two hours, which I think is mostly DJ, was super. Lots of crazy tracks I would love to have. Highlights for me include one track at 2:25 in (4:55 am) with all these cymbals in it and the last two tracks, especially the last one with all the funny beeps. I didn’t like the Highcosmos-like track and a few other glitchy ones. Kaiser Soze – Great morning set, starting with some early evening-sounding stuff like his Primordial Ooze material then some Suomi, really all over the map stylistically but all superb. Coral – I don’t really like full-on but this was terrific. No cheese, highly danceable, intelligent stuff. Treavor – Only caught a bit of his prog set but it sounded good. Solar Fields (trance set) – I love his album EarthShine and this set was mostly tracks in that style, about half from the album and half new tracks for his new trance album. I don’t really like morning but I loved this. Not cheesy, even the euphoric melodies — simply beautiful music. I think he’s carved out a very unique niche of slow, minimal, euphoric, melodic morning trance. Solar Fields ended at noon and things moved over to the chill stage. Aes Dana (live) – Haven’t heard many of his tracks, but really liked the set. Slow, hypnotic with a real danceable groove. HUVA Network – Unfortunately there were technical difficulties during this. It was not really listenable so I went to sleep. Saturday Unfortunately I slept through Archedream, Toni Unorthodox, Fractal Phono, and Lauryn. I woke up in time for EVP, thought that was ok, Rastaliens was better, bouncier, but overall this night was not my style of music. The dancefloor was certainly more active than Friday night. Croquet I brought my croquet set and set it up in the chill area. I beat Lauge (Divine Balance, Denmark) four times but his last two games showed a lot of improvement and understanding of strategy. I also played a three-way game with Kaiser Soze and Nod and beat them both. Overall This was the best psytrance experience I’ve had. Venue, staff, amenities, music, deco and the crowd were all just superb. What impressed me the most was how every set was great. It’s hard to find good early evening and morning DJs for our parties in Texas but all the DJs were great. Fortunately, I did not get sick. Thanks to Allen, Sharon, and the whole Gaian Mind crew. Thanks so much to Karmakanik and Orbicles for the hospitality in Philly, and Theo and Ron in New York. All the artists I met were very nice: Solar Fields, Aes Dana, Mahiane, EVP, Digitalist. It was also a pleasure meeting Pedro, Eitan, Damon, and countless others. Kent
