100th Anniversary For this special occasion, we’ve invited a couple special guests, each making their long-overdue NY debut… KONFLUX (Psytribe, Phar Psyde – Los Angeles) LIVE Konflux is a solo project of the US based DJ and producer Vasily M. Born and raised in Russia he relocated to the states in 2001. Living in Los Angeles and frequenting he soon gained recognition within the local psytrance communities. Having over ten years of experience in producing multifarious styles of electronic dance music, Vasily began making psytrance in 2004. A light-hearted, elegant, yet pounding and groovy style can be roughly described as “a blend of Light Night and Heavy Morning Psychedelic Music”. Rock, Jazz, [Happy] Hardcore, Drum’n’Bass, Techno and House have all made significant contributions to his style. Konflux has spun across the United States alongside a multitude of international acts, participating in major events like Gaian Mind in Pennsylvania and Burning Man in Nevada. He also has a currently inactive collaboration project Jetlux with the LA-based producer Jeto, with releases on Divine Balance Records from Chicago and on Mumbai based Sonic Tantra. In ’97 he began throwing the infamous gathering called “GEMINI” that was held on the majestic Eel River. In ‘2000 he met up with Dr. Spook and created the loving PHOENIX FAMILY COLLECTIVE. He also runs the sound company FULL CIRCLE PRODUCTIONS. As a promoter and gathering thrower, he knows what gets the people going. Thanks for all the kind words everyone, I had a lot of fun @ the show. I got there halfway through Tony’s set, good Progressive PsyTech/Electro. Thick basslines with intelligent melodies. Cnt/Alt/Dlt has a unique S.African sound. Very dynamic and full power. The crowd was filling up the place at this time. Then Konflux came on and delivered Alien information through his marvelous music. The crowd was going wild. Then when I was up, I had a sound problem for the first 4 songs ( the sound man couldn’t figure out how to make the fader work ) plus a sound signal problem I had to figure out on channel 3, but was off and running once the bugs were gone.

Psy Trance Party In Central Pennsylvania
I was able to talk the Owner of the Coliseum into letting me have a Psy Trance party in the Owners suite of his building, It can hold about 50-80 people so it’s an intimate setting. Party starts at 8 and ends when the place closes at 2, there will be an afterparty announced at the party. So here it is. THABIOUS (Psyraiders- Allentown PA) Thabious has been in the trance scene since the late 1990s and has been a positive influence on everyone he meets. He has been brushing up his DJ skills for a few years now and has recently begun to spin outside of his home and in local bars, and outside gatherings. Be prepared for his twisted sounds, and the energy he brings. WILD WES (Psyraiders – Allentown PA) Wes is also new to the scene but not new to Djing. He has teamed up with THABIOUS to create the project Psyraiders. Wes has a tendency to make your heart jump out of your chest during his sets, and always brings a good vibe to the party. aLSO SPECIAL GUEST DJ Berzerker. here is the link for address http://www.coliseumfun.com hope to see you there.

MAX EARWORM LIVE, WICHDOKTA and more
EARWORMl EarWorm is the psy project of Max Meshiv born in 1986. He was infected by the psychedelic trance virus at a young age in Israel…and now resides in NYC to infect others. Around 2002 he and his older brother Noam started to work on music together on a computer-based music software… It was more of an experimental stage and development. What started as a hobby eventually took on a more serious path, which also brought in lots of magical and mysterious experiences along with it. That mixed with an explosion of inspiration and…BooM! the EarWorm project was born. The project in itself is aimed towards wizardly magical futuristic nighttime-twilight psychedelic frequencies….Tune in to the frequency of everywhere and now-here and get earwormed…soon on dancefloors near you! and DJ Sets by: WICHDOKTA (Phoenix Family, Geomagnetic – San Francisco) KEN (Dreamcatcher NYC) LUCINA (Dreamcatcher NYC) Deco by Dreamcatcher Party from 10pm to 4am 21+ with ID $5 at the door Location: Sullivan Room, Manhattan, New York City 218 Sullivan St

August 15 Is NYC Alive?
yeah, 28thday is still around. We’re working on a park party for our three year anniversary, though it is too early to post details (we’re not sure we’re going to get the permit yet, etc). However, let me say this; the last few events that 28thday has done has featured a strong effort by a small group of assholes to get us in trouble. I’ve caught people openly drinking at park parties, bringing beer into our loft parties (the venue for our nye event got fined due to beer bottles that the police found around our bar, and we weren’t serving beer), and in general not respecting the things that we ask people to do to make our lives easier as promoters. Following the catastrophic financial loss that was NYE for us, we had people demanding their money back; one group showed up at my APARTMENT post-event and threatened me. When we try to throw presale only events or ask people not to bring or openly drink alcohol, we don’t do so because we’re on a power trip… we do so because we don’t want to get fined by the police. people ignoring our requests and making our lives harder while we’re spending time and money to throw quality underground events, especially free events, really saps my energy and makes it much harder for me to justify the time 28thday puts into these events. I catch the same people making my life harder every event we throw, and it’s really made throwing the free park events I used to love doing leave a sour taste in my mouth. Don’t get me wrong… there are lots of people out there who have gone above and beyond to help us do what we do, and we love you guys. It’s just unfortunate that there are people on both sides of the divide in that regard. – Theo

After all the fuss, I just could not resist taking a ride down to Philly for this one… I was feeling a little stressed out and I was up for ample helping of both negligence and irresponsibility. Or, failing that, beer, music, and pretty girls. This usually adds up to the same thing Well, this event did not fail to deliver! For once, truth in advertising… I met up with my cohorts for the evening, onTonca and Neph.. and we braved the screaming Chinese ladies and got onto our bus for the ride of shame.. New York to Philly, Chinatown Bus style. Of course, the bus left late. but our driver broke several laws of physics and at least a few laws of New Jersey, discovering a new subatomic particle, two black holes and many potholes along the way.. getting us to Zot just as things were starting to heat up. Out on the sidewalk, I immediately spied several familiar and friendly faces including two friends from Connecticut! But alas, Mark was not one of them. Neph had brought artwork for the chillout, so we got upstairs and went right to work, helping her put her fluoro flowers and pinwheels around the room. Chay was there and had already put up some of his always-excellent work so it was quite a nice effect in total. I saw some of his work in the main room as well, along with a very nice array of Mizue’s work. The music in the chillout throughout the night was excellent. I am sorry to say I don’t remember everyone who played in there, but the music was very good. I enjoyed the set of a reddish haired guy from Brooklyn who I hadn’t really met before for some reasons. I think he was opensourcecode. Jamie Kilowatts was also great as usual but I won’t say that because I hear he is modest Step two was to get into the main room and catch some of Fractal Phono’s (Rory) set, which had a fairly packed dancefloor going even though it was still early. I also took this time to enjoy my first beer of the evening, a delicious framboise lambic. YUM! Delicious, I will never enjoy Lindemans quite so much since I have had this stuff. I am spoiled now Did I mention that this place has hundreds of different beers, both bottle and tap? Rory’s set spanned a bunch of subgenres, all good tracks, and the dance floor was starting to really move. Next up was Arahat, and I was really eager to hear his set because he was cut off abruptly on his first or second track at our New Year’s Eve party, when the very fine NYPD came to protect and serve us. Well, it was very good! Somewhat dark, somewhat tweaky.. but not too dark and not too tweaky.. but just really trippy with enough drive and groove to keep the floor really packed and happy. And it was nice to see Arahat again, he is really a cool guy. One of these days I will get my ass to SF. I got myself another beer, I didn’t know any of the beers they had on tap because I am a beer ignoramus, and I could not find The staff Gaian Beer Experts, Dave or Lauryn, to help me choose, and Pat was still in Portugal.. so I just went eenie-meenie-miney-moe. Just like that, really. It was delicious. Did I mention that this place has great beer? Also, pretty girls were in abundance. Some of them even seemed happy to see me So at that point, the evening had fulfilled its promise.. but irresponsibly, we kept GOING… Last but never least, we got a full-on tag set from Lauryn and Eggbot, some nice old tracks, some nice newer tracks.. all of them bangin’.. which had the place going like crazy. Nobody wanted to stop. The usual Pennsylvania witching hour is 2AM, but in a true negligent fashion, we went until 3AM.. the owner of this new spot loves psytrance, it’s much nicer than at Ulanas… It was really a great party.. great music, beautifully decorated, nice atmosphere, really great crowd of people. A real family feeling and not one bad interaction the whole night. It is so nice to see this much energy go into a party that can’t go all night.. but everyone comes out early and really makes a night of it, so you really feel like you’ve been to an EVENT! Totally worth the bus ride. But ultimately it had to end.. so at 3AM we sadly packed the deco.. and left.. to go to the AFTERPARTY! The afterparty was at the “Awesome House”, and really, I did not understand why they call it that, because I had never been there. But really, it is a fucking awesome house. It’s awesome. I kept saying awesome, at least three times an hour the whole rest of the night, and all through the next day, except when I was sleeping on their quite awesome sofa in the awesome living room. I cut it down to twice an hour for sleeping… Until Neph and I got on the bus Sunday evening, still saying awesome quite a lot all the way back to NYC. For all I know she is still saying “awesome”. Anyway, we got a ride to an awesome house, were greeted by many awesome people. I then went down to the awesome basement and DJ’d for a couple of hours while awesome people danced. Which was awesome fun. In the morning, someone took the sound system out to the back yard. The back yard is awesome. We played with the awesome dogs, we went on the awesome roof, they fed us awesome food, made us awesome drinks. I took an awesome shower in their awesome abundant hot water and went out for an awesome breakfast. I had many awesome conversations, heard awesome music. There was awesome beer, and oh yes.. awesome pretty girls We spent an awesome night, morning, afternoon… Finally, I had to tear myself away and go home We took a taxi, then the Chinatown bus. We were stuck in traffic, which was not awesome. But the bus did not catch on fire, we did not make any unexplained detour into Brooklyn to drop off Chinese illegal aliens. Or just aliens. We arrived back in NYC safe and sound, which was very awesome. Took an awesome cab back to my awesome apartment, fed my awesome cat, fell into my awesome bed (I specifically had put clean linens on just before I left) and slept. It was awesome. I’ll see you there next month. Awesomely, negligently, irresponsibly yours, -Ben (light-o-matic/PSI) aka Hypnotoad http://lightomatic.com/ haha!! killer memory bodhi, that was my Ether Dreams mix, I was still playing Goa on vinyl back then with some acid trance thrown in for variety. ahh, the memories. all this stuff was just called Goa before psytrance, dark psy, light psy, fluffy psy proggy, minimal or full-on created flame wars on internet forums. It made buying records much more efficient too, LOL!!! man, that was some fun!!! Zot has probably one of the best beer selections I have ever seen. Egbot’s sound system was crisp and clear, the deco was very nice, and the chill area was top notch as well. hopefully, some pics will be posted, my cell camera doesn’t work too well in darkness so I couldn’t get any sweet shots. your speakerhugger track killed it mubz thank you to egbot, all of the other DJ’s, bernard at Zot for hookin up the bacon-infused Vodka shots, the crowd for rockin out to my tunes, and Lauryn the b-day girl. I’m having a blast out here, anybody that rolls through Philly should definitely schedule it around their next event. for sure! the very first second I met Tom at the door was greeted with amazing vibes and could feel the making of a great night of trance dance. Top-notch psychedelica, just the music I like to travel too … wow the music was such a rush and the happy smiling faces bouncing on the floor added to the energy that makes Gaian Mind parties so wonderful. The chill room looked fantastic and tho I didn’t stay there for long enjoyed parts of OpenSourceCode’s set Also big thanks to Tritton was having everyone over for the after-party !! such good times dancing to more music and seeing the sunrise from the rooftop of awesome house I forgot to mention the afterparty at “awesome house” was superb fun. great gang of people in a very cool townhome with a lush, green backyard complete with a fire pit, flowers, and a nice comfy patch of grass. then there’s the basement stacked with killer deco and DJ rig. ben light-o-matic rocked some super morning tunes for a few hours that really helped keep everybody awake for the morning chill-out. I will be in Massachusetts through Christmas and new years, let me know if anything goes off in Philly because I wont’ be too far for a train ride. All sets were great, Zot is a good choice and the best Cod Fish dish I ever had, and of course best selection of Belgium beers. I also enjoy the acid groove set in chillout room around 2am to close (been a long time not to hear that tasty dessert)… Tom, thanks for the “grabs”! I just realized I never wrote anything about this party! KILLER KILLER TIME! Reality Engine fundraiser email Dear Friends, As you may or may not know, Matyas Kelemen suffered a severe neck injury last month. After completing work on an Alex Grey event in L.A., while swimming at the beach, Matyas was slammed into the ocean’s rocks head-on and broke his neck. Thanks to many extraordinary factors, his life was saved and he is now in a neurological rehabilitation center at UCLA Hospital. Being left with limited motor skills in his right hand, working with traditional DJ equipment will be extremely difficult. In order to continue his work as an audio-visual producer and performer, he will require the aid of a touch screen midi interface. We would like to ask for help in the form of a $50 donation in order to make it possible for Matyas to continue with his career. We would also like to thank everyone for all the love, energy, and support during these hard times. Reality Engine is the audio-visual project of Luis Campos and Matyas Kelemen. Please check back soon for the launch of the new website and monthly iTunes podcast. Please click on the link below to make a donation: Please forward this letter to anyone you think would be willing to help…

28th Day – Trinity
Trinity + Church! Come celebrate three years of 28thday and the arrival of beautiful fall weather this Saturday at Brooklyn’s Kaiser Park! We’re bringing only a finite amount of food, so don’t waste time getting your ass to Kaiser if you wanna get your drink on and your snack on. Tony Unorthodox kicks off the afternoon with impeccable beats to clean us up and dirty us down, followed by Lauryn channeling her groove into a rare old-skool progressive set! Next up, Captain Hypnotoad sends us all to walk the Planck length, and Hugh S digs deep into his crate to unearth those tracks you didn’t even know you forgot to remember. We’re also bringing out way more sound than we’ve ever brought out to the park, and will be rocking rain or shine with high-grade 4-point audio. And rounding off the weekend, on Sunday web musicislove.net/church Church crew throws caution to the wind and opens wide the doors of Love for a *free* session of Church! The moon is full and summer sets; everyone is invited for the descent into the lodge to help stir up some of that old-time religion. We set it off family with a residents-only throwdown of significance. Haj, Mikio and Nyxyss feat. evocative violinist Hannah Thiem set the tone for the first in a run of six consecutive Sunday evenings at Love this fall. Phat beats. Mad vibe. review of 28th Day’s Trinity event
It’s cheesy to start off reviews with exclamation point-ending sentences, but what a killer party out at Coney Island celebrating the 28th Day third anniversary on Saturday afternoon! First off, what an awesome venue! (OK, two in a row that’s way over the line. I’ll stop now). Nestled in a corner of the park with superb natural acoustics provided by a short hillside toward which the stage was pointed, the mixing tent was backed by a fence about three feet high behind which were the sidewalk and street. Thus, the sound was well-contained inside the little corner of the park we occupied but still audible a good distance away. The incredible sound was provided by both front and delay-aDJusted rear speaker pairs, along with what appeared to be 8000 watts of subwoofers. The quality of the sound in the dance space rivaled some of the best clubs I’ve been in crisp, clean, not too loud, and coming at you from all sides. Kudos to Icarus Facundia and Ben light-o-matic for providing it. Delicious barbecue was presided over by Ron and Scott. Their burgers, accompanied with excellent chips, condiments, and iced chai from bio-Lu offered perfect sustenance for dancing through what turned out to be a rather sultry, late summer Saturday afternoon. The music all day long was fantastic starting with Tony Unorthodox’s excellent, though abbreviated opener. I always enjoy Tony’s taste in tracks and mixing skills and Saturday was no exception he had me moving my feet early on and they kept moving right on through pretty much all of Lauryn’s excellent set of faster progressive psy selections. She ramped up the intensity a bit toward the end, just right for Hypnotoad to make a seamless transition. Ben upped the tempo and the tweak-age, giving the now-sizable audience a barrage of well-mixed squelchy psychedelic throttlers which I thoroughly enjoyed. I only stopped dancing briefly to greet friends who had made a late arrival and prepare for my turn on the decks. As far as my set goes, I will leave the review to someone else more qualified and only say that I hope folks enjoyed it as much as I did playing it. It was a real treat to drop some of my favorite new tunes out loud for such excellent folks in such a great setting. The real highlight was when a good number of local kids showed up and threw down on the dance floor with the trance regulars. The energy they brought was incredible. The last beats of my closing track dropped just under the 6:30pm mark accorded by the much-inspected parks permit that Theo and the crew had to repeatedly present to police and parks department officials throughout the course of the day. To the credit of everyone in charge, the event proceeded unhindered from start to finish and the crazy kids were able to enjoy a nice day of music outside under the trees. My deepest gratitude goes out to everyone at 28th Day and their affiliates who made the day sound, look, and taste as good as it did, and to all the party people who came out and shared their summer day with us. It was an honor to take part in such a well-organized event with such fun folks and it reminds me once again why I spin these tunes in the first place.
Hugh Sharpe: Those who ventured out to Kaiser Park in Coney Island this sultry September Saturday afternoon were in for a real treat. Tucked away in a corner of the park with the DJ stage facing away from the street and apartment buildings across from it, the party area was surrounded by a small hillock just behind the treeline which provided both a nice location to view the festivities (and the bay behind it) and a natural acoustic barrier to contain the sound. On that point, the sound in the dance area was simply incredible. Fo ur-corner stereo speakers and a plentiful number of subwoofers blanketed the dance zone with crisp, clear sound that rivals some of the best night clubs. Trance always sounds better outside and it was a real joy to have a sound system capable of projecting it nicely over the entire space (and a little beyond).
All the sets that day were enjoyable and well-tuned to the setting. Tony Unorthodox got off to a late start but his set was completely the way to kick off the festivities. Tony dropped his usual choice blend o f electro and progressive sounds with precision and got me on my feet early, despite my efforts to rest after pumping up that giant yellow inflatable ball thingy. I kept dancing through nearly all of Lauryn’s set, stopping only to grab a burger for sustenance. Thanks to Ron and Scott’s expert grilling skills, the party was well-supplied with excellent veggie and beef burgers, a choice selection of fixin’s and chips, topped off by excellent iced chai courtesy of bio-Lu. Free music and free food. Outside in a city park. Legit (just ask any of the half dozen or so cops and park officials who stopped by to investigate the goings-on only to leave satisfied every time when Theo or Scott presented them with the permit). Who could ask for more?
Lauryn’s set was followed seamlessly by Ben’s, who offered us a sweet blend of Ay psy tunes with an added squelch factor, all nicely mixed and crowd motivators. I only stopped dancing during his set to run off to the porta-john and to greet friends who had arrived and help them set up a picnic blanket on the hillock. I hopped on the decks just after 4:30 and played until the party closed at 6:30. I tried my hand at dropping a blend of progressive-inflected psytrance, with a little dose of tech house and prog house to give the set a bit of variety. After a few sketchy and downright regrettable mixes (wait ’til you hear the recordings soon to appear on the site) I got more comfortable with the sound behind the decks and started hearing my cues better. Those back speakers were a bit of a challenge if the monitor was too quiet, and once those got taken down during my set (they were going off to supply sound at the pine barrens party that night) my mix es got tighter, as well. Despite a few crunchy mixes, the small crowd seemed pretty much into what I was dropping, and even some local kids got in on the action and filled the dance area from
around the middle of my set to the end. I always love it when people who have never really heard trance a re-exposed to it and check it out and it was one of the most enjoyable time s for me as a DJ having those ids out there dancing it up to these crazy tunes. The party wrapped up right at 6:30 and a spotty rain started falling at around the same time. The people who came out seemed to have a really nice time and everybody gave off a great vibe with a surplus of smiles and good cheer.
That said, I was a bit surprised at how few people came out, though. I think there might have been 50 to 70 people and a good portion were involved in the production itself. Not bad, but for a free daytime event, with free food no less, it seems that it should have attracted more f folks. Granted the Minitek festival was coinciding on Coney that same weekend, but the price point and target audience for that was a bit different, t o say the least. Anyway, if you dig listening to trance outside and hear about one of these 28th Day park events, do your best to check it out. Thes e guys definitely love what they’re doing and the music they present and it shows in their production values and dedication.

I didn’t go to Orb but this was an awesome night. At first, when we arrived there weren’t that many people at all but towards 12 suddenly everyone showed up and it was hopping all night. Great music and lots of dancing, just like the way it’s meant to be. After seeing this I’m thinking of going to Orb if happens next year.
I had a great time this past Friday and it seemed that almost everyone else did as well. I have never seen Exit so full down to the final moment of the party! The music was solid from start to finish and the new deco was both refreshing and stimulating. Also, the Audiolust crew did a nice job of bringing the sound up to par. I could definitely sense that Alladin Project carried the momentum of Orb Fest into this party, evidenced by a rejuvenated energy and enthusiasm that was palpable. Things are looking good guys, keep it u.

Hello all What a wonderful weekend we all had! Nothing but the best people and high energy on the dance floor. I would like to thank all the people who drove down and danced with us, even though gas prices were so high. It was good to see all of our friends enjoying themselves and meeting new people from far and wide. My thanks go out to everyone that made it, without you this event wouldn’t happen. Thanks to all that helped work and kept everything running smoothly! Thanks to: The Ladies for ritual, Twarpd for opening the weekend, Labyrinth/Kameleon for playing a banging set!!, Cinder for exploring new areas, Dragon for banging his best, Primordial Ooze release an album everyone is waiting!, Oso for playing what he wanted too, Koji for ruling the morning, Mel for yoga, Quetzal/Shad for linking minds in space, Nicole/Emily for tuning the bodies, Moksa for keeping it deep like he does best, KT for opening up sat and kicking it off TS style, Wichdoktor for being who he is and always delivering the best music at any time, Scorb for being the best artist we have had yet!, Random for his great music and filling in for Virtual light. To all the chill stage artists even though they were not all chill (changing name of the stage next year) I didn’t make t down to catch any of the acts there but I heard nothing but good things about you all! Thanks to our gate workers who do such a good job, to our security for being chill, and all our helpers with odds and ends. Thank you all for helping us make this the best end of the year open-air festival!! You all make it happen!. See you all soon and if not we will see you next year!!! Far and away the best dance floor I have seen in Asheville in ages. We rocked till the sun came up and then even later. Shout out to Moksa who really blew up the dance floor, I haven’t danced so hard in such a long freaking time. Oso thanks for a great set, especially rocking out some peak records style, loved it! Your chill out was fantastic as well. Cinder, great job trying a new style but keeping your own personal touches, really enjoyed it. Richard, great to see you play at a middle of the night time slot, you certainly brought the energy and your track selection was mindbogglingly fun and moving, you are always a joy to have in Asheville. Scorb, you freaking tore it up, started off slow but solid and drew me into it slowly and methodically really psychedelic and unique style, great stuff. Ross your set(s) were a beautiful and moving way to bring in the sunrise. JJ and Kri and Shapestatic, congrats on rocking a dance floor till the end, what a beautiful way to close out the weekend. Ooze your chillout set really rocked, a super original and creative style I loved it, same with the mainstage though I missed part of it. Hmm. surprised no one mentioned this yet, one of my favorite sets of the weekend was Nod’s “Donstep!”, waking up to a crowded chill-out dance floor was great. Don is the reason I ever gave dubstep a chance and his sets just keep getting better and better. Thanks to all the people of TS who made this event work. And last but not least, thanks to all the beautiful dancers and people who attended this event, truly one for the record books, I had a blast. Tons of new faces, lots of non-locals, and every single person I met was absolutely wonderful. Can’t wait for the next one. Wow, just… wow. This has to be one of the richest experiences for me to date. The set-up went smoothly, the vibes gelled rose and popped, the dancefloor stomped. And (can I express this enough?) the campers were extremely responsible and conscious of the land. Clean-up this year was a breeze with only a few campsites leaving cigarette butts and litter about. Deerfields remarked several times on how much they like our events – and that is entirely thanks to YOU. Thanks from one of the guys walking around with a trash bag picking up the few bottles and butts, and thanks from Deerfields for knowing how to respect the land. That little bit of effort you all put into packing out your trash, to pocketing your cigarettes, to trying to be low impact – it really eases the workload on us after the party has ended. We left the land cleaner than when we came. So again, thank you so much. I couldn’t be prouder of you all, and can’t wait to do it again next year. -Fuzz BIG thanks to all the Touch Samadhi crew that made this happen, it was a pleasure to be a part of something organized so well, everything went sooo smooth. I think its getting better and better each year. thanks to God for such amazing weather to enjoy this festival. nice tunes from lots of folks!! twarped, cinder, primordial ooze, the malah, NOD!! (sounded really cool with the sun out), klaws, silver machines, scorb, random!!, and kris set at the end all sounded very proper. moksa and dokta…. I was DJing on the 2nd stage and missed your sets but I heard they were smoking, always nice to chill with you guys though. it was a lot of fun to throw down some darker tunes as well! and yes we should change the name of the chill stage to dub/chill/jam/dstep/minimal/techno/progressive stage;) nice to meet so many cool folks from up north, glad you guys made the trek down, I hope you found a place to stay Sunday night.. next year I think it should go from Thursday night to Monday morning…so people coming from far away will be able to relax more.. it doesn’t surprise me that people coming to this land for the first time feel the magic here. I feel very fortunate to live so close to a festival and crew with such pure intentions. I hope some pictures show up…our sets should be up fairly soon. see everyone next year! peace Kameleon big boom to touch samadhi for another incredible stomp in the mountains. and thank you for bringing scorb!! damn, I’ve been a fan of his music for a while now but I was still blown away by his set. he’s taking his music to another level, deep, dark, and mysterious, almost had a medieval vibe to it. the sounds were warm and the sequencing was very intelligent and reserved, letting each track creep up slowly, getting into your mind and body. then hearing random after that, great energy, really enjoyed the darker twilight melodic tracks, and the sequencing of his music is just insane, very musical and technical at the same time, all while watching the sunrise with the fog churning out of the lake behind the main stage, quite an experience Friday night was a blast too, great sounds all night and good energy on the dancefloor. and a big shout to don for a slamming nod set Saturday, that primus rmx was on point. and thank you to everyone for bringing the good vibes, these weekends always go by too quickly, should dance for four days next year! Hot damn…what a weekend! Thanks to everyone in the Touch Samadhi family who makes this event possible each year (missed you Monkey…wish you could have been here with us). I am incredibly grateful to be a part of it all. Big thanks to the folks who came out from all over the place to support the cause (we had such a great turnout from Atlanta too!). It was definitely the most rocking crowd I have seen in Asheville perhaps ever (?). It certainly felt that way. Thanks to all the Producers and DJs for the wonderful and varied music. Thanks for the positive comments on my set. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did performing. I love festivals like this where there is something for everyone to enjoy!!! Do we really have to wait until next year for the next one!?!?! I’m ready to get down this weekend!!!! ” What a blessing of Gods was this Annual T>O>U>C>H SAMADHI 5th Festival in North Carolina! This land is indeed a holy one. In the setting of beautiful mountains full of apple orchards, lakes and ponds found its place one of the memorable events of my entire life! From the moment you get here, you know that there will be no bad vibes, only the best ones, and you will be surrounded by REAL people who dig very real music. This music has no limit, the only one is the sky:) That is how I can introduce TRANCE music to the lost souls who never discovered the beauty of this genre. The lineup was huge, all artists were surprising and quite original, blasting their music over huge fields full of happy people. It is trance music, great artists, and people that make it possible. The difference you see at festivals like that vs the “drinking party crap sort of festivals” is that you can never see, I mean NEVER anyone experiencing negativity, rude and unpleasant attitude, not even mentioning any fights. And people, oh all these people who make an effort to travel for more than 12 hours and even 24 hours by cars to make it so they can enjoy, truly enjoy themselves, make these festivals possible, give, give, give and give! 2 nights and 3 days of the most memorable events, it is so little and so much. We had fantastic fire dancers performing their show, we have heard many great names, we have met face to face with people I had a strong urge to meet! I have brought more than 7 CDs from various musicians. On my way home to Atlanta when I hit the point called Homie, I started crying, thinking how I much I will be missing these people, Asheville, my new friends, and eternity of holy trance sound. I have taken a very important decision to move to Asheville in the very near future. This is my new Goal to be with people that I truly love, bring positive vibes, facilitate any healing process by giving, giving, giving without wanting anything in return. I was blessed to participate in the best Kundalini workshop of my life as well lead by this very light girl from Asheville. I have traded messages with one more angel, who’s name is Moly McClellan from Georgia. I have met sweet Courtney Leppi, Heart and Cameron, Vince, Lora and Elena, 3 Erics and so many more people whose names I can’t recall now but who will always be staying my heart. There is nothing more rewarding than sharing happy experiences with like-minded people who are not made of $ signs and fake values and beliefs that mass media and politics are poisoning our minds with! Long live the TRANCE, long live the PSY, long live this glory of trance culture, and you all be blessed because you can glance at it if you are lucky enough if you haven’t already got this concept of pure love towards each other and true devotion to psy music. I have found my new home in Asheville, I have found where my soul is again Thank you to Kri, TOUCH SAMADHI for making this Festival possible. Thank you all who performed and enjoyed it together in North Carolina. IN TRANCE WE TRUST…. ” Wow .. what an awesome reunion! Awesome sound and deco with a stellar line-up of talent. I just wish it could last about a week! haha ~ I really liked the having the sound system on the ground in that spot in front of the stage .. the positioning had a direct impact on the dance floor and really channeled the energy well. I regret missing so many sets but after a 10-hour drive to the site and preparing for a 10-hour drive back Sunday to be at work by 7am Monday, even I had to catch a nap somewhere in the mix ! I could still keep the beat in my translucent state for the most part though.. The sets I did hear were perfect for that time of day and night… Cinder, Medisin, Moksa, Primordial Ooze, KT, Moksa, Witchdokta – very refreshing! .. and of course our guest of honor – SCORB ! I wasn’t prepared for the “Phatness” that he layed on us with his new live set ! Dropping remixes and originals with he and Deviant Species ( Squid Inc http://www.myspace.com/squidincorporated ), he and Concept (Prism, and he and NRS (RAM)! Scorb is truly a modern master composer and producer which has definitely had an impact on myself and my electronic music-loving friends! wow, what a festival. I feel I am so blessed to experience such a festival. Honestly speaking, after so many festivals, this was the one I enjoyed the most. everything was so perfect, from the location, music, organization, people, vibe, deco, energy on the dance floor and basically everything—–just perfect. Music: all the DJ are to be blamed for splattering my brains all over the place. scott u totally destroyed me early morning, what a twisted set. Richard, dude hands down, u got some kind to energy, have yet to see a DJ jumping n dancing, communicating with the crowd so freaking well, what a set u played. scorb, listening to ur sound was something out of this world, wat a time I had just hanging round by the fire n listening, it was like every track was taking me some weird place. Random the daylight, the sunshine n ur powerful tracks kept a smile on my face and feet stomping all the way till Kri finished it off. After a long time I heard some good-ol-Goa style pumping twisted music. hands down to all the other Dj’s for doing such a great job, u guys are the best. The people were so down to earth n humble haven’t seen a crowd like this, everyone was so helpful, giving, smiling. I feel so fortunate that I came across some really great people, and the interesting conversations. I really hope to see each one of you’ll again next year. Location as usual was beautiful, truly deerfields is magical….there is something about that place. again I want to thank the organizers for truly giving me something so beautiful, I feel so blessed. it was worth the 13 hour drive frm NYC, & hell yeah I am coming back. thank you guys again for making the last outdoor of the year so memorable. c all u guys next year. Well… what a way to end the summer! Thanks to everyone that made this possible. This fest has always stood above every other North American one in my eyes because of both the pure essence of nature in which it takes place and the positive spirit of just about everyone who comes! However, I have to say that the festival ended on quite a sour note… though I must emphasize it was not in any way due to the organizers but rather our unkindly hosts. As we all have to learn to take the good with the bad, fortunately the good undeniably offset the bad to make this a wonderful experience. However…. the bad may be enough to keep me and my friends away from Deerfields forever. And I hope all trancers that travel long distances to enjoy Deerfields take note. First the good. Big up to Kri for all the preparation, organization, and execution that made this fest enjoyable, relaxing, and blissful from beginning to end. Dragon — you rocked our worlds as you always did, and whoa! what a set Primordial laid out! (too bad I missed the set at the chill….but you got to sleep sometime and you’ll always miss at least one!). And can’t forget Oso who followed up with an outstanding morning set on Sat. However, in contrast to the outstanding music, amazing and inspiring people from all around, and solid organization, I was extremely disappointed with the attitude and treatment of the Deerfields land owners and hosts. As way of background, we came down from New York – me and a group of friends as we always have for the last four years. Deerfields has always been our favorite location of all of up and down the east coast… from Pow Wow to Ka-Pow through to Reunion (and of course we can’t forget the successive World Bridges and Goa Gil annuals as well!) The nature at Deerfields really is a power all unto itself and the experiences we have had–whether in the acoustics of the open fields, escaping in the trails up in the hills, or soaking up the sun in the apple orchard–are unparalleled. As a result, we have always come down with the utmost respect to the hosts who have allowed us on their land and reverence of the endless power of nature that abounds there. Unfortunately, however, that respect is in no way reciprocated. True, it has become obvious to me over the years how poorly some visitors take care of the land–not recycling, abandoning trash next to trees as if they were trash cans, or tossing cigarette butts on the ground like it was Yankee stadium. So to one extent, I understand the resentment and condescension the Deerfields owners and “hosts” shed on the “weekend warriors of trance” who come to their beautiful land and expect everyone else to clean up after them. Nevertheless, it is also very apparent to me that not everyone there disrespects nature in this way and some–if not most–equally cherish it as much as the owners themselves do. As a result, I found it entirely, undeniably, and irrevocably unACCEPTable that no matter who you were, no matter how respectful you were to the owners and their land, and no matter what your predicament– every visitor and guest to the festival (and to Deerfields) was kicked off the land at 5pm sharp on Sunday. To be fair, I recognize that this was stated on the flyer and told to everyone upon entry. But it seems to fly entirely in the face of the spirit and attitude that brings everyone to their land to enjoy the freedom of nature in the first place! What freedom of spirit and nature are the owners themselves manifesting by selfishly taking “our” rent money for the weekend and tossing us out on our asses and disposing of us when it is all done! Especially when you take into account that on other days (when there is no festival) Deerfields can be used as a campground for other campers for a nominal fee of $10. But suddenly our $10 was not acceptable…despite the fact that we were already there and settled into the nature, despite the fact that we kept our site spotless and trash-free, and despite the fact that we opened our arms with hospitality to some of the people that worked there and offered them a freshly-cooked meal with our own food! The fact that our group had either driven 16 hours or spent $400 to fly down there and had nowhere to go to that night made no difference. The fact that our camp was already set up and we were forced to break down and find another place to sleep at sundown on Sunday in the middle of our “trip” was irrelevant to them. The fact that the owners even led us on until early in the afternoon on Sunday that we might be able to stay the night (which incidentally we have been able to each of the last four years) didn’t matter! Well, with that response, I see now how the Deerfields people are. I see how “spiritual” and close to nature they really are. And I see how wanted us “outsiders” are. And while I love this festival, I sincerely appreciate Kri (and I can’t forget Monkey!!) and what he has down this year (and over the years), I must say that I (and most of the group that came with me from the tri-state area) are never coming down to Deerfields again if we are to be treated in this fashion. So not to leave on too sour a note. I thank Kri and the Touch Samadhi crew whole-heartedly for making this event happen. But I implore them to have a word with the Deerfields people about how to treat their guests and make sure the entire weekend stay (even if it lasts until Monday morning) on their wonderful land can be enjoyed and appreciated to the fullest extent deserved. Because if we are to be treated like mindless cattle who bought tickets to a show and have to be physically removed when the curtains fall, then it entirely defeats the purpose of making such a long trek to enjoy not just a festival but the incomparable and lovely nature at Deerfields in the first place. This attitude contradicts the freedom of spirit so dear to most true people in trance, and I hope the Deerfields owners don’t get away with such deplorable treatment ever again in the future. Because if they do, I can be sure I and my friends will not be there again to take part. Again, I want to emphasize this is in no way a reflection of the festival itself, the Touch Samadhi organizers, and Kri. Despite my harsh words, I truly hope we are able to bounce to the reverberating bass lines in the open air together once again….

Gataka Live, Daksinamurti, Earworm Live, Cris, Luis Campos, Progress Live, Phatmind
HELLO NEW YORK, WE WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE OURSELVES TO THE TRANCE COMMUNITY WITH A WONDERFUL TREAT AND WISH OUR CLOSE FRIEND A POSITIVE RETURN TO ZION GATAKA LIVE (Phonocol, Israel) In his very first appearance in New York Gataka, Matan Kadosh, is considered by many to be one of the leading artists of modern-day psytrance. Matan started playing psytrance at the age of 15 and has immense experience under his belt. During the years he had collaborated, remixed and remixed by with various artists like GMS, Infected Mushroom, Space Cat, CPU, Silicon Sound, Protoculture and many many more… Bringing his unique style and his funky powerful trance drive Gataka will be sending to the dancefloor electrifying vibes. We are honored to have the opportunity to host one of the great artists of our day in our debut party. http://www.myspace.com/gatakamusic Daksinamurti (Nexus/Shiva Space, Germany) First New York appearance Dj Daksinamurti is Till K. From Marburg/ Germany. In his sets he prefers twilight styled / Night Full ON. He also has a weakness for good produced non cheesy morning music…Daksinamurti has performed at some of the worlds biggest festival including Freedom festival Ominfestival and Fullmoon festival. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=107691898 Earworm LIVE (3D vision, NYC) EarWorm is the music project of Max Meshiv, born in 1986. He was infected by the psychedelic trance virus at a young age in Israel, now he resides in NYC to infect others. Max has a great sense for producing powerful music with a groove, which is being rewarded with releases in the worlds top labels. We are very excited to hear his new material in a LIVE set. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=109230595 Cris (YogiBogeyBox, Mexico/NYC) At the age of 16, Cristian Ledezma was exposed to electronic music and ever since he is been dedicated to the progressive & and psytrance style. His sets are uplifting and energizing. This Mexico native, has been taking the US East Coast by storm. Cris is working on his first music project. Phatmind (YogiBogeyBox, NYC) Born in a land far far away, this unusually large-headed dude will bless you wicked sound. Progress LIVE (NYC) Yuriy Vaskevich is a discoverer of musical dreamscapes. His immense musical background is not to be missed. He pushes the limits of psychedelic experimental music and reached sounds that are progressively unique. We assure you that if you have not heard Yuriy before you will go back to your computers to have another listen. https://web.archive.org/web/20170929101131/http://www. Iprogress.us/ OTHER WONDERFUL ARTISTS TO JOIN THE LINEUP!!! The Hook 18 Commerce street Brooklyn, NY http://www.thehookmusic.com/ This amazing venue with YUMMMY sound will provide us with two floors of music as well as an outdoor patio to take a breather (very short one at that ). While the Red Hook does not have subways running through its underground yet, there are other options. The B61 bus, which travels express from Williamsburg and downtown BK drops you off one block from the venue. The F train Carroll street stop drops you a short 10 minute walk from The Hook. There is plenty of parking space
It was awesome to see all my old friends- made it even more special. Thanks so much for coming out -kisses! Music wise— hmmmm other than max and daksi the rest was unfortunately too cheesy for my taste The headline act —-disappointing to say the least. yuske ur set downstairs was kick ass Fumi- heard bits and pieces of ur set- sorry to have missed it! max: one wild ride it was ! daksi : WOw! u seriously broke it down! Amazing track selection that took me on an incredible journey. Thanks for coming down ƒº till next time…. xoxoxo Thanks YBB for a great party!!! I had fun Everything seemed to go nice and smoothly. The deco looked wonderful! I just couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that I was leaving a trance party while it was still dark outside -no fault of the organizers but I hope this isn’t a bad omen for the trance scene… Got there late and caught Daski’s set- Awesome fucking tunes, the last 40min literally made me feel like a puppet incapable of doing anything other than madly dancing. Gataka….meh, S’ok. The sound system hurt my ears a bit but next time I’ll bring my earplugs. Great to see friends and old faces popping out of the wood-work but I don’t know if anyone else got that almost club Spirit type of vibe from the general crowd. Good work Yogi- certainly looking forward to more! tony exciter, excellent video edits, u caught the great essence of the party on vid. made it to the party when max was closing in, missed most of his set but still enjoyed it. loved cris’s energy and the crowd loved him but the music wasn’t much of my taste. for me the real party began with dak’s EXCELLENT sounds ! I was stuck in the front and refused to step off until he finished! now I regret missing out on his set in Iowa I’ve heard alot of Gataka’s tracks b4 but nvr saw him live and was excited too and I wasn’t disappointed. his ground-shaking calls was beautiful to me at most points , even though I don’t fancy full-on that much. great party and excellent energy in the frontttt as usual! u guys rockkk!!! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING THIS EVENT AS SPECIAL AS IT WAS!!! THE VIBES WERE UNBELIEVABLE! special thanks to everyone who helped set the place up and running! Sue, the deco was great, we’ll make it even better next time!Tony, the video is wonderful! Ben, thanks for the support and trust! Everyone who came early in the day and stayed late into the morning, this party happened thanks to you!! Matan, you are a special person, I hope to work with you again. Till, you destroyed the dancefloor and I thank you for blessing NY with your sound. Max, the set was unbelievable and cris, as you promised that was full power! well done! Fumi, thanks for the huge help all day! Yuske and Yurka, Sorry I didnt get to catch your sets, look forward to hearing them next time! Most importantely, thanks to everyone who showed up to support the scene, we look forward to make quality parties that will get us all jumping and smiling again! Much love!! Wow what can I say late but never too late to comment ! Was a great party !!! Had a great time ! Was nice to see lots of familiar faces and good friends.. Venue-wise I really liked the little outdoor smoking place.. especially if it’s a more liberal outdoor place dancefloor was well sized and full of lots of smiley to fill it !! Music-wise I really enjoyed Max’s set definitely one of our best talents in the states.. and he showed it once again… Chris had a good set too, music-wise track selecting was not my taste but very nice energy and mixing. Daksi.. hmm lol.. where to start.. unbelievable music ! was really nice to ear some nexus media new material and brought forth all together by no better man to do it then him ! I loved his DJ set was the climax of the night for sure. No disrespect to Gataka as a person or artist.. musically just not my cup of tea had some moments where it seemed like old sesto sento stuff.. then broke into a more commercial vibe…downstairs was great at the time. All in all great party ! farewell to Kobi was great to meet you. Hope you have nothing but luck. Hope to see all you gools and goblins on Halloween !! BooM !and the cab fare to the venue ranges from 8 from BK to 12 from Manhattan.

Hey Nomonlos.. so much fun! We need to do it again soon. Or just get some beer… BTW everyone loved your music.. including especially myself. Well, here I am all recovered from GMM on Friday then a full day/night of running sound at Burning Man Decompression.. and then a birthday party Sunday…. Truly a rock star weekend I just hope I don’t end up looking like Keith Richards…. But I have to say.. the Philly folks.. ALL of them.. are without a doubt the most amazing group it’s been my fortune to know as friends and co-conspirators. They always lift my spirits and give me hope. And this new series of monthlies are without a doubt a new high point in Philly psytrance. Better than ever. definitely one hell of a party! I came in on the rockin ride from NYC (many thanks to ben for that!) and then stayed around for the pex decom…by the time I took off Sunday I was way too beat to make it all the way to rockstar status many thanks to all the enthusiastic dancers and all who made this weekend such a wonderful experience! extra special thanks to pat and mel for all of their hospitality I hopped on a Chinatown bus at 10:30, was at the party around 12:30, danced until 3:30, was home by 6:00. In retrospect, I should have gotten there as soon as it got started, but I’m habitually used to the late arrival. The venue and vibe in Philly is a welcome change from the harsh commercialism in NYC. They seem genuinely happy to have the crowd, rather than viewing the non-alcoholics as unprofitable. Its a more intimate and friendly experience than NYC events tend to be. As long as there is someplace to relax after the early closing (2am, offically) — That pre-dawn drive back to NYC was…intense I like Nomolos’ style, too. Glad I had the chance to hear him. Thanks to Lauryn and Egbot and everyone else involved.

A HUGE Thank You to all who are making this party happen, AND all the people who are helping us out by buying advanced tickets(you have no idea how much it helps to make the party better), Thank you, everyone, It’s going to be VERY SPECIAL!!! ONLY 10 DAYS LEFT! @ 800Deathsticks & anyone else who may think its too pricy…. : Please understand why the price is what it is.This isn’t the place and there’s no reason for me to start stressing about the budget of this gathering, and the reasons for the ticket prices.I think you all should see for yourself and understand what the reasons are. I’m just gonna make a quick comparison: All of us pay about $20-$30 to see one international artist, who will play a live OR a DJ set.Same Local DJ’s(i don’t mean any disrespect we have some awesome DJ’s here and I hope to hear them all playing at our gatherings as well). We get the same backdrops and banners and deco at every party…Should I go on??? At this party were bringing you 5 HEADLINERS(4 live performances,3 first USA and new york appearances),an amazing deco artist from Czech republic, a very kool cozy private location…$45 is a treat for this kind of a gathering…(need I remind u that on dates like Halloween and nye venues are more expensive then any other time?)You can always buy an advanced ticket and save yourself $10 if 45 is too much! Please understand where this is coming from,i am truly not trying to disrespect anyone or come off as nasty or anything, but PROPER/QUALITY events require a lot of LOVE, good vibes, hard work, dedication, and the main thing which is funds. In today’s world, and especially in places like new york, everything is about money.Especially for venue owners!!! OOOOW! I’soooo glad I made it to the party! Music was powerful all the way. Deco… AWESOME! Very sharp and took me somewhere very far. Great vibes all around. And surely the perfect venue for an indoor party. At work after the party, I was completely dead and useless… That’s a good sign of the fact that I had a blast at the party! hehehe But one sad thing for me was… I didn’t see the Green Man on the floor! lol @ Francisco (Spectra) Was glad to see you, man. (I’ll talk to you, Paulo, next time for sure. ) I’ll definitely see you guys someday soon at the “Turbulence New York Edition” or in Japan with Tohru and Nozomi! Or… maybe in Portugal??? Crossing fingers… @ All the freaks on the floor Thanks for bringing your beautiful energy to the party. Without it, I wouldn’t have enjoyed the party this much. and finally, @ Noam Thanks for all the energy and hard work you put to make this beautiful party happen. It was definitely one of the best indoor parties I’ve ever been to, brother! You did it!!! Can’t wait for the next one! -Ichiro HOLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! till yesterday I could only say WOW …………. I’m still at a loss for words but I’m going to try… After a VERYyyyyyyyyyyyyyy long time I left the party with a massive smile on my face feeling not only fantastic but extremely positive! THANK YOU Noam & max and everyone else involved for putting this massive massive project together and executing it so well! you have set the bar so high right now for parties in NYC because this is how it should be done! you have definitely recycled the energy in the psy scene. Thank you. To the DJ’s : madness!! I walked in at 11pm and couldnt stop dancing till 8pm. the progression of music from when I heard xama to the end with max again was perfect- POWERFUL music. I really enjoyed all of the DJ’s sets and I think they all delivered amazing intelligent sets. after max’s live set I thought I had no energy left in me but Spectra came on and that was such a powerful morning set with the sun coming up that I suddenly has this burst of energy to continue to the end thank you x100 to all the DJ’s for your music. The deco- amazingggggggggggggggggggg…woweeeeee woweeeeeeeee I like! ‘some seriously beautiful esp. when the sun hit the main piece behind the DJ console. OH sweeet lord….what a sight! thank you lucas. The sound system – finally someone got it right with making sure the sound was top-notch….thanks guys. The place was super cool too with the rooftop …..an amazing find!! Raffi- thank you sooooooooo much for the chai at the end yummmy!! the crowd was amazing fun and so were the costumes thank you all for your positive energy… to all my friends who came- as always so good to see u and dance with all of you! all the best for all ur future ventures. lots of love, kisses and good energy from one FUCKING HAPPY trancer now we know what it is all about trick crying for. ego taste. well, I myself first have a deep heavy trip experience when listening to dark psytrance in 1995. music brought by Atilla from Kurdistan and his friend Venus from Berlin. At that time many other acts was playing what they called Goa style (psytrance with melodic Indian melody). 1998 I moved to US and trying to find the scene. Found Synthetic Sadhus a year after. Since then I was enjoying every different kind of psy-music from progressive, chill-out, dub, full-on, etc until I stumble into a darker full-on taste by shift and Sub6 etc, at that time. Day by day looking and discovering a darker (in a creative way) music by more performance. I was enjoying it (since had good enough of heavy trance melody from my tribe since my childhood). So there I become dark music listener, fans of some artist, making the music, involve with the scenes, and weaving a friendship with the musician, organizer, record owners and those fans. I even say that I will never look back. Well, I was wrong. The bad thing is, I should have not involved in it but just dance. However, the involvement has opened my eyes wider into what is this dark psytrance all about. Again, I don’t against the creativity of it at all but the concept and their culture (either the artist aware of it or not) of it is just a mind fuck. So I know most of the name explained above by trick and many others, They know me too. I listened to their trax to the ends and their ideas. I study the personality. I found most of them have childhood abuse issues that they end up snorting cocaine because they cannot practice violence as revenge (well it’s “illegal” to do violent but what about crack?). At the stage of their greed, fear and productivity, they snort cokes (includes many other organizers {not limited to other psytrance genres} but most of my knowledge is in dark “full power” psytrance). Overall they do a great development of egos. Many of them even still owe me a ca$h and apologies. Since all of these experiences, the dark psytrance turn my appreciation down. So too bad Trick cannot bring those artist for free, but I have an idea for you and the use of your cozy apartment. Just find a “FREE CARRIER” from Columbia to bring a decent quality powder to serve your audience and their dances experience and turn on your TripLag Radio to replace those Psytrance Celebrities cost. That will save you bugs and make sure you have some cash and extra lines for them in case they want their money back. – Daya So, I didn’t arrive at this party (from Philly) until close to 3:00 (thanks to a two-hour hold-up on the Tri-Boro bridge). But once I walked in I was immediately dazzled by the amazing deco. Also, the venue was just the perfect size; small enough to keep everyone close, but large enough for you to back up and take a breather without getting stomped upon. And I will have to agree that the vibe of this party was the best I’ve felt in an NYC indoor since Pondscum in Nov ’06. There were none of the divisive/aggressive vibes that I frequently feel where partying with the NY folks. I give kudos to Noam for a well-produced event. Sure, some of the music wasn’t really my bag; but I used that time to enjoy the brisk evening and the wonderful view on the roof. And I have to admit that I saw many familiar faces from different “cliques” smiling and getting down on the dance floor for the duration of the event together, virtually hand-in-hand as a close-knit trance scene should be. It was like a breath of fresh air for the NYC scene. And of course, the Philly vibe can never be duplicated… But I have to say that I am now much more motivated to go and party indoors with all you big city folk at the next possible opportunity. Also, cheers to Max for putting together a great live set. It was the musical highlight of the evening for me. It was very danceable while still psychedelic, with no cheese included. Much love to the NYC crew. I hope all the parties this year will have such a friendly and loving vibe.

Same great place as Halloween web yogibogeybox.org Hello New York! After a very successful first gathering YogiBogeyBox is proud to host some of our favorite artists. Please come and support the scene! We do hope this stretches a smile on your face… KOXBOX Live (Twisted Records/ Ibiza/Denmark) Formed in Copenhagen early in the ’90s, Koxbox made some of the first moves toward the psychedelic trance sound that became a standard later in the decade. The duo was formed by Frank E (aka Frank Madsen) and Peter Candy, who first met back in 1980 while playing in rock bands around Copenhage n. Even though the KoxBox evolution has taken many twists and turns, one thing stayed constant: the music is of unimaginable quality and they can surely be called legends in our scene. We are very excited to host one of the only artists that have constantly elevated their music to be on top of the psychedelic trance scene. Ocelot Live (Vertigo Records/ Portugal) oCeLoT a ka Aaron Peacock is based in Portugal after many years in San Fran. Aaron produces high-impact psychedelic trance, sometimes deviating into fresh morning Goa style creating music for your nonstop dancing, listening pleasure. While producing since 1993, the oCeLoT project began in the year 2000 and has been heard on 5 continents in forests, on beaches, on mountains, in club s, warehouses, in fields, and just about anywhere a trance party has been held. Frank’E DJ Set (Twisted Records/ Ibiza/Denmark) By the words of the DJ, get ready for a “KILLER” DJ set by the mastermind of KoxBox. Ocelot chill set (Vertigo Records/ Portugal) We are treated by this multi-talented artist to a couple of hours of on the chill stage that will surely have you levitating.. Isvara DJ Set-(Mighty Quinn/ Lycantrop Rec)[Russia / NYC] It is a joy to have one of the leading artists on the east coast. With his animal instincts and his innate musical talent, this set is surely going to pack a punch into the lineup. The dark night tunes will surely set your mind to an unforgettable voyage. Progress Live (YogiBogeyBox/ NYC) Yuriy Vaskevi ch is a discoverer of musical dreamscapes. His immense musical background Is not to be missed. He pushes the limits of psychedelic experimental music and reached sounds that are progressively unique. By popular demand, we bring back Yuriy. We assure you that if you have not heard Yuriy before you will go back to your computers to have another listen. DJ K E N (Dreamcatcher / Psychollective, NYC / JP) K e N’s Psytrance style can be described as Fu ll-On that is neither too bright or too dark. Yet, powerful with a message, his infectious sounds make you smile & dance 🙂 He plays for the love of the music and the people. Always evolving, and trying to further define that special moment, to make the crowd feel special on the dance floor. – – – – – – special decor & interactive psytructures by Neff (NephilNine) & Uta New and Unique visuals for your party from Serge !!!! this party was indeed powerful ! got in to see Isvara killin it … perfect start with the perfect tunes to set the cruise …. then it was time for Ocelot madness …. brilliant music just the way I like it ! waves and waves of psychedelica pouring … so much of those twisted tunes that would not let u settle down but just keep dancing inside out !!! was fun dancing to Kox Box’s set … good energy on the floor and superb morning colors from the rooftop Ocelot’s chill set was indeed special … such good transition from night to morning aah jus loved it … big ups to the team for setting this up and big boom to the artists and all my friends that made for a special night … of what I heard about the next party from these guys and the artists they gonna bring in jus can’t wait haha I had a great time, Isvara made my night, but not disappointed by anyone (loved Ocelot’s groovy tunes and KoxBox’s energized set was nice). I was a little weary of the crowd at times, but I guess this can be expected with such a large turnout. One thing that really caught my attention while waiting for the bathroom was this animation on the screen. It was during KoxBox, with a huge guy dancing, and behind him was a skinny guy on the screen reacting to the bigger one. It was really awesome, and fit the track perfectly (especially when the skinny guy was being shot/pinned to the wall). I hope people know what I’m talking about… But yes, it was a very good time. Thank you, everybody! Thanks for the party YBB! Excellent job on the organization, deco, sound, etc. Koxbox was the highlight for me and I enjoyed Ocelots set. Too bad I missed Fumi and Ken’s set, heard it was also sweet. The sound distribution was much better for this venue this time around, I felt like the music was just as loud in the back as in the front. I also enjoyed the chill set at the end of the party, for some reason, it made for nice wind-down and socializing moments with everyone. Some people have their doubts but so far I like this venue and hope to go back there again. Feels a bit “old school”. Oh, and BIG thanks to those handing out the fruit and chai! I miss that at parties. this party was absolutely Killer… Thanks, YBB for a superb party…The visuals and lighting were great…. KoXbox made my night..there came a point when I thought he was Jesus Christ..ha ha ha.. I Loved Dj Ken’s set too…and the rest of the lineup were awesome too… oh yeah and those watermelons were soooooooo goooooodd… This was a great warm-up for my trip to Goa, India next month…thanks again… Peace.Love.Unity.Respect – – Calvin I had no idea they were giving chai and fruits, damn I needa stop dancing and quench myself once in a while! YogiBogeyBox, all I can say is: I agree that the music system was excellent, I was able to dance all the way in the back feeling like the music was right in front of me. The deco was excellent, the lights and the fog really put the icing on the cake though. everyone’s set was so good, far from disappointing, but I absolutely positively enjoyed Isvara and ocelot to the bone! I knew they were crazy but not thisss crzy wohoo! I also loved the feeling of the sun peering in as koxbox took us higher and higher… ending the morning with ocelot’s soothing chill.u guys had a great turnout in this party, house full. thanks again YBB for my 9 hours of full-power stomping, what a treat! know what you mean. I think the venue is tied in with the Outlaw crew, and they always have sketchy characters at their parties. But I don’t think there were any major problems with anyone, right? I know someone got caught trying to steal deco, which is really lame, and some stuff got broken. But that’ll happen at such a large party. Overall it was an awesome party, and this city needs more like that! It had more of a “rave” feeling than a psytrance party because it was so diverse, but it was still AWESOME! It’s too bad the Canadians didn’t make it out. They always bring such beauty and awesome energy to the dance floor! Thanks YBB!!!! This party was good. My experience was not great, which is just my subjective opinion… Deco – Maybe it was just because the deco at the repsychle party was so outrageous, but I truly felt the deco was sparing to say the least. The artwork itself was intricate and well painted, however, the layout and dispersion were poor. This refuge venue is a great place, and as we can recall from the initial pictures posted the venue can either be left as a shanty looking building or utilized for creating sensational environs. The light, and fog machines and some pretty interesting visuals gave the venue a clublike feel and constituted the rest of the deco. I personally find the obnoxious lights and sobering fog to be a nuisance. Music – I arrived during isvara’s set, which was surprisingly the most enjoyable set of the night. Isvara astonished me with an unusually funky, groovy, set contrasting his usual more atmospheric sets. The track selection was a combo of fresh familiar tracks, a few oldie but goodies, and some unreleased killas; the flow, and structure of Isvaras set was top-notch full powa supurb. Ocelot – WHen I saw ocelot at grand space he played a wonderful live set followed by the most perfectly equed DJ set I have ever heard, so granted my expectations were high. But geez was I disappointed by his set. On the dancefloor I only heard unreleased material that sounded um, to be nice, not carefully composed. And the dancefloor reflected ocelots dissonant melodies as the jumping and dancing turned into swaying and nodding. The sound quality was excellent despite the almost ungroovable tracks. Koxbox began his set with a flabergastingly bootyshaking DJ set. I was anticipating a much fluffier set based on his releases and myspace. And then I left before I had the chance to hear anyone else… Good Job YBB on your second party. Awesome start, Still plenty of room for improvements, but with an open mind to criticism and change I am confident YBB will continue to rock our socks off. Can’t wait for thanksgiving at refuge and upcoming ybb parties. Hello trance family, What a night/morning… It took us three days to recuperate… We have a lot of people to thank for a great event. The deco was a lot of work on the parts of many people, so a huge thanks to Sue for many sleepless nights & the creative mind of Uta. Many thanks to Mio, Timmy, Andrew, Fumi, Adam, and his family and Ben for the help. Not to forget the new visuals on serge that put a smile on our faces throughout the night. Mashka, we hope to see your fire dancing in the near future. The music was top notch from all the artists and it was nice to see Isvara, Ken and Progress putting on sets that really put the NY DJs In a positive light. Many thanks to Frank E, who was barely standing on his feet and only 20 joints would keep him playing. Its not easy battling a cold while playing for 3 hours. Ocelot as well did not disappoint with a wonderful chill set to take us into the late morning hours. There are surely many things that could be done better and could be taken into consideration for future parties, but overall we loved the energy! Most importantly, thanks you the entire community for coming out. It feels great to see a full house in the NY psy scene its very refreshing and it gives a lot of energy for the production of future events. We were hoping to see the Canadian crew but I guess we will have to wait until a future party. Please write us for any comments or ideas, we love to work together with everyone who has the energy to contribute to our community! yogibogeybox@gmail.com Much Love, YogiBogeyBox Crew Thank you YBB for throwing a fun party! NYC needs the variety and we are definitely getting it with a lot of new orgz doing bigger better things…….. I didn’t really care much for the fog machine and lasers as well but that’s me…I’m an oldie The vibe was a bit different and a lot of drunk men all over……. did feel more like a rave scene I felt like the vibe and energy, in the beginning, was amazing and slowly as the crowd grew bigger it just got a bit weird for me- but then again I’m an old foggy I was looking fwd to this party but was a bit disappointed by both the music and the vibe – again this is just my opinion! A LOT of people!!! It was packed packed packed! My fav set definitely was isivara…amazing! Ken and Fumi – soooooooo good to see Japanese power rock the loft!:) Missed Ocelots chill set which I hear was awesome as well… The best for me as always was to see a ton of olddddd friends who came from far & close Love u guys- u know who u r ! Misha and gang good luck with everything!! ( and hopefully, you’ll get me to make chai for ur next banger as well I traveled 5 hours to get to this party and its the first proper trance party I have been to since Gaian Mind, so needless to say I was pumped. I came mostly for Ocelot. I agree that compared to his set at Grand space a year earlier things have changed. I think his music is getting really hypnotic, hence the swaying and nodding, not the jumping and rocking of typical FULL POWA music. He recently said somewhere that he is trying to push some musical boundaries and then find a beat in there somewhere. Contrast that with KOXBOX who really surprised me and glued me to the dance floor. His music is really focused on rhythm and plays a lot with funky break patterns and build-ups and such. To me they have different approaches to Psychedelic Music. My suggestions would be to but more Progressive and Minimal, maybe Psychedelic Breaks in the first part of the night and then move to the real trance stuff. I love trance but variety keeps the atmosphere fresh and vibes fresher. Chill out at the end really was a good Choice. I slept on a couch out for like an hour and then woke up as the chill came on and it was really beautiful… everywhere. Lasers and Fog Suck. It definitely had a rave feel a bit, but you know it’s like the scenes are too small not to have some intermixing. Projections were phenomenal. Respect YOGI BBOx! This location is really badass. I am hoping there will be more to come in the same place. The view from the roof was so surreal with all the heavy machinery in the industrial back yards, definitely contributing to the overall mood. If I can’t get sunshine and nature then fuck it, something like this is equally intricate. The visuals were, oh my god, no words, very involving but I wouldn’t say the same for the deco. The crowd was good but I felt a mixed vibe …it would be better not to comment such touchy subject but I wish people would you know…give more. As the weather is getting colder and colder the orgs should really consider making some kind of coat check or an area where people could leave their stuff. Now the music part. Satisfactory sound system. I don’t know how it was last time and I was worried a little bit about that, but I was proven wrong because the sound was just crisp. No complaints. Iswara kicked ass. If I’m not wrong, I hear a lot of his own production which was really interesting, crazy triangular sounds and wicked samples from movies or whatever he used. Just too many breaks and some of them were too long. I wonder what happened to Muktiswara!!?!? I think I recalled a track or two from that project. I missed most of Koxbox’s set :/ I had to dedicate my humanity to a friend in need. Can’t wait for the next party.

I got there during the end of Electrik’s set which was pretty banging, and at first had me worried that it was Karash’s and that I had missed most of it. Then Helios came on, I generally enjoyed most of his music but it wasn’t really my cup of tea. Afterward was Karash who totally ripped it, but unfortunately during his set, some black dude in a red stony brook seawolves t-shirt groped my girlfriend and got in my face threatening to “smack me” after I backed him off of her. This all happened in the center of the dancefloor, and the fucking guy actually continued causing trouble and commotion later on when he saw me in the smoking area. After informing Mr Ben LightOmatic of this, he assured me that he(the perpetrator) was an “okay guy” and that everything is fine. I found this quite unsettling and for his own sake and the safety of trance parties in general, I hope he doesn’t show up at any future parties or makes some serious effort to change his behavior and attitude. The Deco was very nice quality-wise but lacking quantity-wise especially for such a big place. The place is spacious and has a lot of potential. Some seating arrangements would be great for the future. As we were about to leave, we were asked not to due to police presence outside. A few minutes later the sound was significantly turned down. We were in a rush to leave so I did not find out the why/what of the situation, or how it was resolved. All in all, great party, thank you 28thday + Psybotik! ust got back to San Francisco and a computer, and boy oh boy was that a fun time! I was super stoked to play in NYC and to help de-virginize a sick new venue. NYC you cats are lucky as hell! There just aren’t indoor spots like that in CA anymore. Musically, the party had a really great flow. The energy level & response from the crowd was very high, almost palpable.. Lots of smiling faces beaming energy all-around For such a HUGE space, the deco was off the hook! They did a great job of making you feel enclosed in some sort of Alien Landing bay, with strange colored green walls that made all the video being projected wash out into streams of scattered light. downstairs there was an indoor smoking area near the restrooms for people to lounge in.. no outdoor smoking here.. you’d be turned into a popsicle with the 26* degree weather! Karash played a kickin 2hr set (i think) which was lighter and more full force than I expected. Quite a treat to hear “Dark” music that still has a chunky bass sound to Go with all the high pitched acid squiggz that usually constitute this sound. Mad props to the 28th day & Psybotik Crews for pulling this all together despite adversity, shifting venues, and reconfiguring sound systems.. Had I not known what was going on behind the scenes I would have never known how much work and at what length they went to make this an Awesome event. BRAVO!

The party itself was ok, but the $35 dollar entrance was a complete RIP OFF considering Abomination played a 100% FAKE Set. Standing behind him for 20 minutes this was completely obvious, he had Cubase showing the same screen(and not in play mode) the entire time, the laptop was not being used, and even the 2nd CDJ wasn’t used at all. So there you have it, a pre-mixed CD played through one CDJ. Press play and go. FUCKING LAME. The worst part about it was that he PRETENDED he was doing shit like glancing over on his laptop and pretending to press buttons/moving the mouse. Even Lamer. Incredibly disappointing, people are paying $30-35 to watch Abomination wave his arms around after glancing at his non-playing Cubase screen and touching a non-functional knob? Next time just ask him to send this same cd he was playing and Joe Fucking Schmoe can press the play button. Maybe you can hire a hot-ass stripper to do the dancing instead. Just an idea. Other than that, the Deco was wonderful, and Ghreg and the rest of the DJ’s delivered powerful sets. Too bad the seemingly absent-minded organizers cut him short. The whole lineup was a fucking mess, why was Earworm (same label as Abomination) opening the party? The turnout was 50% local alcoholic Polish hooligans. People I can personally do without, and I think most trancers would agree with me. All in all, I had a pretty good time, but some of the things I described above are mad fucked up. I hope the promoters will attempt to prevent such fake acts in the future. “The turnout was 50% local alcoholic Polish hooligans.” haha they had their club under renovation for months what would you expect. LOL cheerio ell u asked for an explanation so u will get it first of all the cd that the guy saw playing was a backup cd the volume in the mixer was down we do this because if our laptop fails we don’t want to destroy the party second we usually do a full live act with synths and all but at that party that wasn’t possible because we didn’t have one and its not our responsibility to provide it hopefully this will explain to u guys what really happen keep on partying saar abomination

Kinda recent. Idk how I missed them in past 2 years. Primal, Ur-Trance. This is what I always wanted trance to be. I get weird l/K flashbacks just watching it, making me feel like a wormhole into the 22nd century is developing. Blows every1 else in psytrance away. This is what a party should be. She gets into a weird summoning seance style trance after 2 hours of the diDJ. And probably without the aid of chillum – considering circular breathing on a diDJ is very taxing on lung capacity. ds without ds. We are not worthy. Or are we? BOOKEM DANO! ps couldn’t find their contact info after 10 minutes of browsing. Any1 got their info or know them (some of you prob. do) TY Mio for bringing this to my attention. …also any1 know any1 doing the Armenian Duduk with trance? Any1 know any1 who plays the Duduk? I think its a vastly unexplored instrumentation for psytrance. Here’s a track that Peter Gabriel did with max effect in Scorcese’s Last Temptation of Christ The mournful, soulful sound IS Armenia and the world of 3000 years ago. It is an instrument of virtual time travel. Off to Texas after taking my Malamute to the snows today. See y’all New Years!

wow! the party was wonderful, thanks to everyone who helped put this thing together! The deco was amazing, the theme of like distant landscapes made the dancefloor just a wonderful place. there wasn’t a patch of wall that had didn’t have a tapestry on it. it’s also really nice to see that people are bringing more international deco artists to NYC. it really does wonders for the vibe of the party. speaking of vibes.. the party was awesome. PsyOps played an amazing set as usual probably my favorite set, heard some really good tracks. Konflux and Cognoscenti were great a lot darker than I had expected and I was very very happy about that! Their sound was crisp and clear and that’s what I love about live sets, so props to you guys and thanks for coming out from Cali… there are really some wonderful artists from Cali that we need to see more of in NYC, and the crowd just ate it up! Brandon Adams was great too got there in the middle of his set. CPU on Acid was not really my cup of tea.. the beginning of his set was a little too poppy for me, kinda sounded like benny bennasi – satisfaction.. but after that, his set got a lot better.. crowd ate that up too! Earworm – wonderful as always! always a pleasure to hear his sets! it’s nice to hear some twilight in the morning! All in all it was a sick party! Thank you Thank you Thank you! I dragged my friend from Vermont for her first party and forced her to come and she had a great time, which made my time even better to see a first-timer wiling out! hehe Amazing deco!!! It was the best that I’ve seen for the last parties at the Refuge! It was also a good idea to put two visual projectors on the walls. I’ve spent there not so many time, but I was very happy to see all of you guys again! It looks like some ppl are lil`bit tired about Refuge cuz of the 3rd huge event in the same place… but anyway I wish a lot of good vibes to Repsychle family, cuz these guys are showing really strong psychedelic conception at the parties. Here is some photoZZZ: http://tonyexciter.gallery.ru/ See U all on December 5th at the Hook! Deco was insane – completely transformed Refuge. PsyOps was the most ridiculous set of the night for me. Very very powerful. Konflux vs. Cognoscenti played a very groovy-ish set, I enjoyed it very much. CPU on Acid was a lot different than I thought he would be, and I couldn’t really get into it (although the end of his set had some tunes that I enjoyed). Earworm’s set was very nice – I always love his track selection and he really keeps the energy going. walked in when Nomolos was playing some really nice groovy beats … was a nice warm-up set and I was AMAZED by the deco !!! the artwork was indeed beautiful with trippy details making the dancefloor area look like a wonderland also the visuals were nicely setup. Brandom Adams’ set was just incredible .. such fresh sounds and excellent mixing skills got the energy rising in me to go full power for PsyOps set !! tracks played by Jon were really intense like swords flying thru space making you do nothing but just dance and smile … great energy on the floor at this time Konflux and Dai were awesome too however the sound at the back was kinda weird with the speaker popping in and out … but still didn’t stop anyone from grooving to the beats. CPU was not really what I liked when he started his set but it was a good time to take a break and meet people and share the vibes I did like him towards the end. Earworm was next and wow all of a sudden it all sounded crisp and clear! good sounds and happy dancing again big boom to the organizers for setting this up! good to see you Noam and nuthing but great vibes from u man Due to an unavoidable voyage to grab “supplies” and taking an alternate route to the venue through Brooklyn; I didn’t arrive until shortly after 3:00. Unfortunately, I arrived right at the end of PsyOps’ set; but what I heard got my feet stomping right away. Great tunes as always, and I suspect there were some unreleased goodies in there as well. Konflux and Dai had me really enjoying my “voyage”, with swirling and morphing sounds that went very well with the textured deco and my moiré patterns. From what I remember it seemed slightly dark, minus the machine gun beat but had some groovy elements at times. I think I also remember hearing one track with some intricate percussion that sounded almost like live drums sampled. Definitely some psychedelic stuff with NO CHEESE. CPU’s live set banished me and many others to the roof, but that was just fine because I needed a break anyway. Noam and the crew are always friendly and personable, and they made me feel welcome. Deco was unbelievable, and I hope this starts a trend with orgs to bring in international deco as well as headliners. In regards to PsyOps, I am really bummed that I missed most of this set. @Orgs, please book PsyOps to play around NY or Philly again soon! Maybe ZoT? Hows this sound… Arahat, PsyOps, Unwashed Tomatoes, Egbert and Lauryn, and Earworm. Tom will be in town and everyone else is local. Maybe a house-party near the holidays? Just a thought. All in all, cool party. I will definitely be back! was truly spectacular and quite mind-blowing, the likes of which NY has been sorely missing for quite some time now. Really added that necessary dimension of an environment you could easily lose yourself in. Other orgs, please take note if you haven’t already! Jonathans set was mostly comprised of very excellent crispity crunchity acidated full powah music, resonant leads, percussive momentum (not machine gun stuff though by a long shot), and swirling vortexi of sounds that wrapped you in trance. Vasiliy and Dai took the stage with some music that was perfect for my taste, just the right dosage and intensity of mayhem combined with real proper groove and a lil funkiness thrown in to keep you on your toes. Next came CPU, which I must say I too had to run to the roof at the beginning of, and enjoyed the sunrise and bud with sum buddies…To me, when he started, it was crystal clear and ultra-professional production of super poppy tunes, almost no longer resembling anything psychedelic. I have heard some music like this, called “universal breaks”, which to my ear incorporates global pop music through electronica. The kind of music that you say to yourself “where do I know this from” since it is something eerily familiar yet reinvented and reformed enough to be something completely different. It has been said that true creativity is merely properly cloaking your source…So there were lots of familiar melodies from pop music, with clubby beats, I think I heard the south park theme song reinvented… neither psychedelic nor trance, at least to my ears and brain, but a lot of people seemed to enjoy it and the floor was groovin. More like pop disco to me, This set started off as CPU on Pop Rocks and Pepsi. Somehow, by the time I came back downstairs, the set had progressed and the music evolved into a whole nother animal, the crowd was digging along to some real dancefloor-oriented proper psytrance. Sammy was able to easily and effortlessly demonstrate an evolution of psytrance and full-spectrum ability to produce all manner, shape and size of psychedelic music. The latter portion really blew my mind to bits, especially in relation to how it started and then progressed, if you wanna talk about telling a story, this man is surely a master Bard and psychedelic poet, a master craftsman. Kudos Sammy! Next came Max Earworm, what can I say about this rising young talent except he seems to outdo himself time after time. The man has found his groove and is happy to spread the love through reinvention of said groove with bountiful blessings of aural wizardy, he played some consistently real proper and tasty morning psytrance… Thanks for the tremendous effort that went into producing this, it showed and somehow topped Halloween! Thanks to all attendees for your beautiful energy and warm vibes!!!The overall vibe was spectacular and couldn’t help but feel at home, fam!! Thanx a million!!! Keep ’em comin guys! this was a total banger. I had never been to the refuge before, and I really liked the space. comfortable environment, pretty friendly staff, etc. it’s weird to think people might be tired of it as tony said, after just 3 parties. places like the hook and exit are a lot less cool and have been used many more times! I guess some people are getting spoiled getting back to the party, the deco was done right…intricate glowing tapestries depicting dreamlike environments, and geometric structures around the dancefloor. the music was top notch all night. hard and psychedelic, but not dark. the early part of CPU’s set also didn’t do it for me, but he made up for it in the second half. apparently, he only had a handful of CPU on Acid tracks, which he built up to. I left in the morning with the same warm glow I used to get from going out back in the day. this is how parties should be done around here! thanks to the r3psychle crew for all their hard work and good energy Great Party! 1st Class all the way – Music + Deco! Some really refined Swiss Treats! Especially enjoyed CPU on Acid – rare performance for this artist. Of course, I was on the floor from the moment I arrived until long after the music stopped. No complaints. Thanks Again for a TOP-NOTCH production! Please keep these events coming!!! ~AKABAK
