WOW!!!!! I have nothing else to say except wow…… we reached there Thursday night and were already mesmerised by all the hardwork that had been put into creating this small village called “orb”. Cris bro…… you should become second in charge for alladin for the amount of work you put in. I could bearly see 30 tents and maybe 100 people. by Friday night the 30 tents turned into about 150….. I’m guessing atleast 600 people there….. WOW again loved all the music and the decoration and one advise to organisers, no matter what the weatherman says, the main floor should always be open………….. I enjoyed playing my set after naked tourist and atomic….. it was supposed to be just 1.5 hours but luckily I ended up playing about 3.5 hours…… thank you to all the beautiful people who danced, smiled, laughed, fell over and all…….. see you all soon p.s. – all my music on Friday morning was dedicated to lots of LOVE N LIGHT and my buddy who flew down from india WOW !!! what music .. seriously, what music .. esp sat night – sun morning, from chris (shift) to christoff (absolum) to oforia, absolutely smashing morning – followed by a mindblowing live and DJ by protoculture, what better way to finish off a killer weekend at echo lake ? massive thanks to all the organizers, one thing I def agree with is bablas comm ll I can say is WOW!!! The music was so good on Saturday night until the end… The sequence Reefer Decree, followed by D-Tek, and then Brandon, Yann, Cris, Zion, Shift, Absolum, Oforia, Protoculture and then DJ Rickam was probably the best line up I’ve seen….the music was top notch, and seing Protoculture outdoors was a sweet treat.. Thanks to all the crew, specially to my bicho muchacho for the hard work…and DJ Rickam for shaking things up…unforgetable festival!! my first American fest and all I can say also is WOWOOWOOWWO!!!! it has been an unforgettable experience without sounding too cliche – KILLLLLERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR festival dear alladin crew- u definitely know how to rub the magic lamp in all the right ways…what an amazing festival you all put together. thank you ever sooo much for making this possible.. It was truly a big treat! everything from the location, to the ppl., to the deco, weather, vibes, and of course the music , was perfect. I started dancing Friday morning and didn’t stop jumping around till Sunday afternoon. what a line up it was, from Saturday night till Sunday. kick ass ending to a fabulous event. the deco was stunning all over- there were some paintings in the nova area which were out of this world. it was lovely meeting a lot of new people and enjoying this time with old friends my dream to see Protoculture play live has finally been fulfilled and I am one happy girl thank u thank u thank u x 1000000000 for making this happen muchos besos Great festival guys!!!!!!!! Its not easy pulling off an event like this! In my humble opinion the only thing missing was hammocks(sp?) or something to sit on in the chillout area (Pangea Stage). This would have provided a central meeting point for tired trancers who want to rest but also meet people. As a result the chillout area was under utilized. Otherwise you guys were awesome and I look forward to the next fest !!!!! I want to thank elnadiv and his crew for puting up one of the best outdoors party ever in ny. it was good to see old friends as well as the new ones. Cris, shift’s and absolum set was amazing and flawless and in the end elnadiv played a great set too. im looking foward to the next event
pheeew…. What can I say? Well…. only thing I can say is, as babla said, “WOOOOOOOW!” To all that involved to make this beautiful festival happen, THANK YOU! I had one of the most beautiful and precious moments at the lake… It was not just like a usual outdoor gathering… it was definitely a FESTIVAL! I felt almost the same feeling I had at Boom festival last year! wow…. I’ve never expected that I would get such feeling again… especially in the NY area. Yes! Sunday morning was something very special for me…. Especially during the first several tracks of Protoculture and when I was dancing on the back of the orb floor, I felt that extreme joy of dancing and sharing the moment with those who I always love to dance with… We didn’t talk at all… but just smiling each other and dance like a crazy! hehehe I realized that’s one of the things to keep me alive. phew… I cannot stop writing……. ;P hehe Again, huuuuuuuge thanks to Alladin crew and people who involved! wooooo….. I miss the orb village already!!! A few personal notes… @ Cris – I know all of your hard work for this fest… But it is definitely paid off, my brother! @ Babla – Sorry that I couldn’t make it to catch your set. But I’m sure it was beautiful and fun as usual! Did you go to the bathroom during the set as usual? hihihihi @ light_trance – Thank you for your wonderful and hilarious lecture, professor! Yes. I’m catching up even though we still producing tiny tiny machines! hehehe @ Elnadiv – You said “arigato” in Japanese to the non-Japanese crowd instead of “thank you” in English when you finish your set… It was sooooo funny! LOL.. ;P @ Ely – Thank you for letting us stay there… Your help made our time even more beautiful! and… @ Everyone at the fest – THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE! In spite of some glitches this festival finally came together on Saturday morning and blasted off into the cosmos on Sunday, albeit without Huxflux or the dude from Total Eclipse. The sound took a long time to get working on the main stage which really crunched things in terms of time, but the SOUND was absolutely off the hook so it was worth the wait!! Really good investment on their part. People were pretty cool and patient about the technical delays, not having a bunch of pissy demanding people around prevented the delays from bringing down my mood. Also the artwork was really, really fantastic, Julian is seriously a man with talent.. Some more blacklight would have been great though, it was a shame that I could only look at that art during the day. Alladin crews string art and sculpey/playdough thingy also could have used some more blacklight to do them justice. For me the highlights were Shift, Earworm, Ofer, and what I heard of Reefer Decree and Absolum. Shift is truly a master of his sound. Also Enertopias live took me by surprise, it was really good. On the DJ side Luis and Tony both played their respective styles to the max. I only caught the last 15 minutes of Cris’s set, but what I did hear made me sorry I missed the rest of it! In all, Id be a liar if I said that everything went perfect, but once the sound was rockin and the schedule was in order and peope knew where to go when, things got moving and people came out of their camps and danced and the festival became a FESTIVAL. Props to Alladin crew for their hard work (some of them said they had been up for several days before the party even started). It came together in the end and was awesome, Im sure you’ve learned from the experience wont make the organizational mistakes you made this time again. I look forward to next time you throw a festival. All’s well that ends well.. Amazing festival- sick music. Great vibes from everyone. Thanks to Alladin crew!! wicked start from Atomic Pulse, Babla, Uriel, Coral and Spyros in the barn. Saturday night through Sunday was a full on stomp to be remembered and a special thanks to Manny- for his delicious Saturday afternoon tunes. Really glad to meet the Boston and Philly trancers- you kick ass. And of course- was great to dance with the usual suspects- we love you guys. Psylab stole the show on Friday night, at the main stage. I really think those guys were the festival’s best act, their live act was unreal! Alladin dream comes true, everyone’s dreams cames true to gather a variety of sound colors and diversity and my dream came true to harvest and dance in Grapes of Wrath gentle delicious garden. Most psychedelic set I ever experience in live. God knows what is all those crunchy delicious particles do. I can’t find a word to explain, so many people just missed it, but that makes it stay underground. I dance freely and soaked with sweat without over impact my muscle joints. Stay ripes and tasty Mono and thanks for the harvest trip! Weather, super. I have to congratulate EarWorms for the amazing first Live. This guy still has time to start a wood fire to make a tea for about an hour before his first live act. Max, congratulation man. I enjoy every second of your set from the beginning to the end, full of clean life-lifting tweaks (except for some “little” of “side master distortions”) if you know what I am talking about Next time we’ll find a better sound engineer to touch those cables ok? Go New York!!! Zik as usual, crazy, badass, psycho, mental, no limit! I can’t wait to check him again this weekend. That’s my story of Nova Stage. Mid Stage as always a great company for people to go from Nova stage to Orb stage. I frequently stop in this Psytrance Boulevard to check all vending with many beautiful and colorful stuff and giftstore from global gifted hands. I once caught Gosha play a secret dubs weapon here. Orb stage. I went here on Sunday morning till noon to relax on the grass, watching the colors, lake, fractal forest and checking all those Legends and meeting “oldschool” friends that I haven’t see for sometimes. Looks like a karahana and satisfactory. Others, I think will be explained more by others. Oh KC, the fractal boards are killer, keep it up bro! Credit to Alladin and the brain behind it to make it divers and more colors this time. Thanks to Michael, Aki, Fumi, Carlos,&… Wow, this was really amusing !!!! Big thanks to Eli and his crew for pulling out the Best festival ever in the NY area. There was music for all sorts of tastes, which I think made this festival very special, bringing all different psycrowds together. Highlights: I don’t know who it was but, I saw some really nice progressive sets early Saturday night, I think it was Gosha and refer decree, Later I went to see zik madness, for me he is definitely the best artist nowadays, insane music men, cant wait to see him again this weekend. Also I really enjoyed Shift set it was really nice music reminded me of the old school days. At last but no least, Eli’s set was really fun, great track selection as well as his performance, not really my taste but the guy really played some gd tracks. I’ve been going to echo lake for many many years and I never seem the place so colorful and crowed like this time.Deco was really amusing, chay and Severyn did a great job along with everyone involved with deco. I know it’s been said many times already- but WOWOWOWOWWW!!!! I had such a fun time!!! Such good vibes all around, and the first time I’ve seen the sunshine at Echo Lake! First off- I want to apologize to Alladin Project and to everyone on Friday night for upsetting the schedule at the Nova stage. I was supposed to play there @ 2am. Instead, I was stuck in a car on a rural mountain road somewhere because of a driver who refused to listen to my directions. It upset me so much that I could not be there when I was supposed to be, but at the time there was nothing I could really do. Thanks so much to Alladin crew for understanding… Moving on…..Musical highlights for me- -Monno from Grapes of Wrath!!!!!!!!!!!! wow!!! he played early on Saturday night, but the energy on the dancefloor during his set made it seem like it was so much later in the evening….such amazing music! Onnomon live set – especially the last few tracks I had never heard before…niiiiicee….Enertopia Saturday morning- excellent full power melodic music! Zik- the usual madness… Sunday morning- wowwww Shift played one of the best sets I’ve heard in a while! and then the rest of that morning was just amazing! It wasn’t the style of music that I usually listen or dance to, but the energy and good vibes on the dancefloor just made the festival for me Also- El Nadiv & Cris – such energy on Sunday morning!!! this festival was SOOO much fun! thanks so much to the crew for putting it together, seems like it was A LOT of work, I would have just gone mad! hehehe! I really liked protoculture, Rickam, Yann, and this guy with longish hair that played on Sat night before rickam, those were some crazy tracks he played! the Sunday morning /afternoon was beautiful , so many beautiful people to look at while tripping, that was my favorite thing about the festival! the deco was great, it was nice to see chays paintings, excellent work! the only thing that wasn’t the coolest was yes Juliens paintings in the forest had no blacklights, so it was very hard to trip on them, which sucks since they’re SO detailed and Amazing, hehe bring him back! bring him back with lighting! hehehe Can’t wait to party with all again, im sure ill be making way more trips to NY to come to these! WAWAWIWA!!! what a weekend, what a festival… like lauryn i’d never seen echo lake in the sunlight before… wow what a beautiful place, filled with so many beautiful people and smiling faces great job Alladin crew… given that it was their first time throwing an event of this magnitude, I was very impressed with the level of production. musically, so many killer artists… the best for me though would definitely have to be SHIFT’s live set… I’ve been waiting to see him in person for years and he did not disappoint… thank you alladin for bringing him!!! shift > absolum > protoculture = amazing morning! playing to a rockin dancefloor on Saturday morning as the mysterious mist rose off the lake was another highlight the deco on both stages was really nice, and I really liked the bits of fabric applied to the trees along the “psychedelic boulevard” overall it was definitely a weekend to remember! congrats Alladin crew on a job well done, I look forward to the next installment! big boom from the Philly crew hmmmmmmm, uuuuu not gonna get any “wow” from me!!!! soooooooooooo -1st of all arigato da super kind Eyal!!! lol da, da, big thank you 4 the tiny piece of the beautiful lake, it was a magical moments to be there -to Mr. too smart Sahil “BOOM SHANKAAAAAAARRRRRR” -to Mr. Protoculture as usual -to Mr. Cris ay yay yay -to Mr. Babla, I regret this time we missed you playing, but I enjoyed your and the whole your gang being and smiling allover … -to Elnadiv, hai hai for a moment I couldn’t get who is on a stage thanking us with ‘arigato’ awwwwwww!!! good thing it wasn’t just my fantasy!! -to the mother Nature SPASIBO for the beautiful weather, the trees, the sun, the RAINBOW, the breeze, the lake, the life om namah shivaya Oh, and I forgot to mention the visuals!!! They were absolutely amazing on both stages!! I recognized the Orb stage as the “Electric Sheep Project”, but who was doing the live visuals for the Nova stage??? Whoever it was sure did a fine job! The Egyptian imagery that came up during Max’s set was particularly fitting. Having the artist names in the visuals was also a very helpful touch. Anyway, again, big props to all the people that made this festival happen, your hard work really paid off hat a massive gathering. I hope that those great people who contributed all that hard work to make this festival happen to get a big credit for it. And that everyone was treated with love and respect. It was a great place, with great vibes, and beautiful people everywhere. The deco was out of this world. Big boom to Chay and Severyn for their hard work. The music was amazing. Everything was just so perfect in the moment..not even words can describe. Zion, Shift, Absolum, Oforia, and Protoculture really put out some killer tunes on that day. But I had to leave the dancefloor after Protoculture. 7 hrs of dancing can really get to you. Big Thanks to everyone who tuned in to my set. I hope everyone enjoyed dancing as much as I enjoyed playing it. Thank you for Uriel, in helping me with the equipment. Without your help the live wouldn’t be possible. It was great to make new friends and meet up with old ones. Let’s hope next year will only get better. Everyone be good now.. later! MooB! MaX hank u cris and everyone else for the hard work and the amazing party, haven’t had such an insane time for quite a while.amazing vibes and awesome music, everything was f#*king great! It would have been even greater if elnadiv and his brother would have paid EarWorm for his set and not hassle him for bringing 2 people with him and demanding he pays $150 for each person(never in my 10 years in the psychedelic trance scene have I seen such treatment from organizers towards artists none the less!!!! lol)and then at the end of the party when he comes to them to get paid for his live set that he played for them they tell him “we didn’t make any money man, we cant pay u” and not pay him a dime,(that in my opinion is ungrateful and that is what u would call using someone.) Other than that party was awesome deco was sick (as usual, what else can u expect from chay and Severyn keep twisting us with your amazing art guys), thank you to everyone who danced, thank you for all the beautiful smiles that kept me going even when I couldn’t move my feet anymore and was about to collapse hehehe, Thank You!!!! So Thank you to everyone except el nadiv and his brother, u cheap user bastards!!!! Holy psychedelic shit! That was a bang bang!! Thank you Alladin Project for making my first time at echo lake unforgettable. Although this is and will continue to be redundant – the line up was too unbelievable for words. Saturday night was insane — starting with a bumpin groovy set by grapes of wrath, later followed by Mr horror place who shook the trancefloor. And although morning music is not my thing — what a blissful morning Sunday was. Shift stretched his melodies beyond belief, coating echo lake with his dark mischievous morning sounds. Absolum and protoculture followed with full fucking on morning full-on. Amazing visuals as always electric sheepster. Despite the electrical and scheduling problems this could have been the best festival I have been to this summer. had a lot of fun, especially the last night, once things got rolling…a lot of disorganization and confusion the previous two nights, it seemed like a work in progress. luckily I saw by accident that my set time had been changed, an hour prior to when I was supposed to go on, otherwise, I would have shown up hours late because nobody made an effort to tell me (even though I had seen several people who knew this information). the first time doing anything, especially a production of this scale, of course, things are not all going to go smoothly, so it’s easy to understand some mistakes and I really respect everyone’s hard work. my suggestions for next time, musically, are consolidated to 2 stages, invite fewer artists, compensate all of them fairly, stick to the lineup (and post for people to see), and establish a little better dialogue with artists to create a flowing order. also, the food was pretty overpriced and prevented people from buying it. $6 for a hamburger is not acceptable. I’m not complaining, just giving constructive criticism so things can keep improving. just saying BOOM to everything doesn’t help us move forward (and neither does getting offended by helpful criticism). the weather was perfect, it was so nice to see so many friends and familiar faces and hear so much good music. Shift @ sunrise was definitely the highlight of the festival for me! it was great to see everyone finally congregated, by the lake under the sun I had to play during Monno and Earworm, otherwise, they might have been highlights too! Keep up the hard work, Alladin Group…looking forward to the sequel! ~Bonnita, that was me w/ the long hair before Rickam/Yann muahahaha I lost my mind at the party … I felt so connected to the music … the big bang started with a very intelligent dark set by naked tourist … oh wat a twisted set it was followed by a very pumping bouncy set by atomic pulse … there might be only 5 people sharing energy at nova stage in the morning but the place seemed to be in full bloom … the mist rising above echo lake with the morning sun was just a perfect start to a great festival ….superb 3 days and 2 star-studded nights spent at orb was rejuvenating !!! Saturday early morning thru Sunday afternoon was jus killa … perhaps my only 20 mins during the fest I didn’t hear music was when during spryos set it rained !!!! it bought all under one roof sharing the positive vibes … I was mesmerized seeing the rain pouring over echo lake … and then with the first sunshine on the floor and the music turned on again it was full fcking power ….g.o.w shift absolum rickam oforia spyros proto all played amazingly providing a psychedelic journey into music big thanks to Alladin for pulling this one out …. and to all the beautiful ppl at the party spread the positive vibe

Jul 28th Day Summer Update
The summer season is off to quite a start! Many thanks to everyone who came out to Inflorescence and helped make 28thday’s first open-air of the season so memorable. If you haven’t already, check out some photos from the event taken by Lauryn. We’d also like to extend thanks to the Gaian Mind crew for yet another top-shelf summer festival last week, and for giving us the opportunity to contribute to the event. This weekend is the Alladin ORB festival at Echo Lake! The Alladin crew is offering a jam-packed musical and activity lineup in another beautiful location, and 28thday will be running sound for the second stage. If you’re going to ORB, please consider purchasing your presales through 28thday. Predictably, we receive a commission from every ticket we sell, and this in turn helps support our future events. ORB information and presales are available here:
Also, be on the lookout for the 28thday 2-year anniversary celebration in August a free NYC open-air featuring a live set from Voice of Cod!

Back in the mid 90’s, the underground, warehouse-break in scene was hoppin!! But, due to many unfortunate incidents, deaths, overdoses, vehicle break-ins, stabbings, massive quantities of drugs being found by underground police at the events, basically started the city government on their crusade to shut down all nightlife in the city that wasn’t attached to Lansdowne Street’s club scene. Thus the reason I up-rooted and moved to the more liberal California side back in 1997.
Thanks to all the DJ’s who came out and played for us in Boston. I can honestly say that I loved every set I had the opportunity to hear. I’ve come to expect great sets from Eg~Bot, Karmakanik, and Tony Unorthodox, and they delivered. I’d never heard Fractal Phono before, and his DJ set was a killer. It really had the perfect energy to start building towards the ripping nighttime full-on to come later. I, unfortunately, missed Mathwin’s set, but all reports say that it was bomb. Rafael Zanetti’s closing set was wonderful. He’s got this high energy sound that’s very uplifting without being cheesy. I liked the overall flow of the full-on sets; in the middle of the evening, Eg-bot came with this killer stuff that was, to my ears, very much on the darker side, and then at the end of the night Rafael put a smile on everyone’s face with some very bright, hard-hitting tracks. Good times, hopefully we can do this kind of thing again next summer.
wow, thank you sonic beating for such a delightful afternoon and evening of music, dance, sunshine, beers, hooping, food and laughter. Outdoor day parties rock!!! Awesome location right next to the Charles River and bike path. It was funny watching the bicyclists and joggers do double-takes at the party as they rode the trail. Deco and sound were top notch as is to be expected from this crew. It was also cool that there were so many hula hoops that anybody could just pick one up whenever they wanted. Personal highlights: hooping for hours and the DJ set from Fractal Phabulous.

Bridging worlds… VVVVOOOWWW what an amazing festival. By far my favorite of the summer. Needless to rant and rave about how great the land was. Deerfields was as it alwasy is, but this time with tolerable weather. First infested by infinitesimal then SOMMMMAAAAAROOOOBBOOOTTICCSSS!!! amazing amazing sets!! And Vish dropped a couple bombs on deerfields too. No one has mentioned Dylan’s set which was definitely one of my favorites of the party. …………. FuNkY KiNdZy, CoSMo, OsOm, TeRraNoiSe, and when I heard Berg Stuerz I started running to the trancefloor. The only person I saw taking photos was Rachel and I am sure she took a bunch of really good ones – but I am not sure if she wants four hundred photography bashing critiques, so I am not sure if she will post em here or not. the Saturday night fever was just rediculous completely inconceivable. I had to leave the floor for somarobotics it was too good but kellys set just tied my mind in knots and uzi with the black lights flashing making the deco flash 2 different versions and the lightening flashing in the sky behind all this… hence the term inconceivable It was an amazing location, killer artists, (almost) perfect weather… great party! congratulations to all involved, thanks for everything! Especially Nate and friends for hosting me and all the fucking amazing talents I shared with: Primordial Ooze, Infinitesimal and Facehead lives were amazing, as well as the Dj sets of Panties the Clown, Vish and Nikon! What a dark fucking blast! Keep it rocking Ashevilleeeeeeee!

We’ve been relocated to a nearby field, right by the intersection of Cropse y and 14th. Spread the word!
hmmmmmmmmm……… IMO the continuous rain dampened a lot of spirits and I was hoping the music would raise those spirits…I waited and waited and waited n got more n more drenched but it just never happened. the music was not doing it at all for me. I felt the DJ’s had the chance to just kill the crowd with some pumping kick-ass tracks as there was a great crowd there just waiting to be given that dose of yummy psychedelia but for some odd reason it just never happened.. The location was fun, the crowd was very sporting even in the rain, and the dogs had a field day.. just the music could have been much much better. good to see some friends Well you know, I missed the UK… Thanks so much to the entire 28thday crew for inviting us over again! Kudos to everyone who didn’t let the rain dampen their spirits; this was a great little daytime party with some wicked music – D-Space was excellent and the DJs kicked it too. A great time was had both at the party and for the rest of our stay. It was, indeed, mojito time! It was also really good to meet the Philly crew, Dan, Dean, Rory etc… but you bastards kept it quiet that you made music right till the last moment!

There is someone in the Webster Hall management that believes in trance music, And is sponsoring big acts like Asterix! We are very happy that after years of persistence The psy scene is getting the recognition it deserves. If we all show up, Trance heads we be the majority of the crowd!! See u all there Alladin Crew
I had to take out few friends visiting so ended up at Webster hall at 3am. Astrix was okay, dance floor was full of all kinds of people — few dancing faster than music & few much slower then music!! Just imagine the situation – right back from burning man into websterhall!! Totally totally totally opposite… But then trancers spirit took over, found many trancer friends and surprisingly couple of burners too!… We created our own virtual space. Re-grouping with friends from echo lake behind the stage … and then after 4am dance floor was opening up more with less people and most really dancing in rhythm with music! Elnadiv started okay then went blasting & last hour was full of crazy dancing. Good sound, more then enough space to dance, powerful music to dance the alcohol off the body and some unknown girl from VIP area us gave 4 bottles of water …. so by the end that virtual space was burning. Honestly, I don’t like WebsterHall so always avoided going… I used to like Astrix ages back, but not anymore… However, when we were going out after the last hr of crazy dancing, at least a dozen non-trancers were asking us about next party and where else they can find this kind of music etc etc … Ended having an after-party with random people from outside the club and they really played psytrance from di.fm (nobody had psytrance cds) & most were listing to this music first time for so long… For us, surprisingly(!!!!) it turned out to be entertaining event.. May be ‘coz we were there only during the right time, may be a lot of unexpectedly good things happened, may be its effect of non-trancer’s trance after party, maybe its free water …. !!!!!

Ticon (Digital Structures / Sweden) Live!!! web ticonmusic/ web myspace/ticonmusic Ticon (Digital Structures – Sweden) are Filip Mardberg and Fredrik Gilenholt. The story of their musical involvement dates back to 1991 when they found mutual interest for underground dance music. Around 1995, they made thier first track in Fredriks bedroom, but it wasn’t until the Swedish and Malmoe based label Digital Structures contacted them in 1999 that things started to get clear and they formed Ticon. After releasing on almost every now classic trance lable they earned a spot in the growing group of respected tranceproducers. Released in April 2001 on Digital Structures, their first full-length album received fantastic reviews and is today a milestone in progressive music. It’s been a great journey from the first releases, and with landmark albums like “Rewind” and “Aero” to “Zero Six After” released in 2005, they have earned a top spot position in the trance and club scene. -Earthian a.k.a. Lots of great music. Lots of great eye candy. Lots of great people. Thanks 28th Day! Thanks Lauryn, Ocelot and Artifakt. The music totally jammed the hall. A few of our new friends came in from other parts of the US, binding our community even stronger. It was unfortunate that the sound had to be lowered around 5am, about 1 hour into Ocelot’s set. Later, Ocelot played a nice chill set on the roof, which during the night had some superb original music from the Freek factory people. I quite like the overall balance of the event between styles and crowd. – it couldn’t be better ..artifakt’s set was killer (darkpsy while)the vibes on the place fantastic and also the visuals on the rooftop was so great!!!! congratulations and once again: thanks for these parties here in the city…….. amazing, not too slow. musically- I couldn’t get enough, from Lauryn to the end was just getting better and better. happy u guys invested in the dome its def a great addition as a decoration. ps- I’m just upset it going back to the clubs for now. can you guys throw more parties at these locations? like the yoga studio last year and then this party. it’s just so chillllllllll. anyways thank you so much. I was waiting a very long time for this party. and it did not disappoint thank you Theo, Lauren,Tony, Max and others that I did not meet who worked on setting up this beautiful atmosphere. On behalf of the 28thday crew, I’d like to thank all the people who made our event last Saturday possible: the volunteers who came out days before the show to help carry shit up to the roof, Mark, Pam, Bill, and Alan from Grandspace for being so easy to work with, Dana and Anna from Sonic Beating deco for their amazing dome assembly and decoration skillz, Ben Light-o-matic for the use of his sound, and finally Onnomon, Ocelot, Artifakt, Alien Ambassador, Freek Factory, and Dhruva for being so easy to work with and delivering the sound that made the party so enjoyable. We couldn’t do it without you guys. I had so much fun! Big props to the Sonic Beating Crew for all their helping with the event. Was great to see so many Bostonians invading NYC! Loved the space and deco so much and the Artifakt and Ocelot both played great sets! My one wish is that the sound was better….. But whoever was playing Dubstep upstairs around 3AM….. you’re awesome. Was so nice to come to the roof and hear some great bassy beats. Wow! What a great highlight to my first trip ever to NYC. Got there in time to hear some of Onnomon’s set. Great stuff, man. It was really great to meet you. Also really enjoyed Aritfakt’s set, but I was concerned that if all you crazy trancers hit the floor on the same beat the entire building was going to collapse. Way to rock the house, everyone! The chill area up top was cool. Nice use of deco and visuals. Ocelot closed out the night with some great beats, but by that time my dogs were barking way too loud and I had to get off my feet. Thanks to everyone who put this together. I had a great time connecting with the East Coast psytrance family. also, the free-flow and live guitar on the roof was very cool. Too bad the deco got in the way and you couldn’t tell what was going on (from the “cuddle puddle” area, that is). Just a few words about the Organizers…. I had purchased three tickets via Paypal, but due to an unexpected illness was unable to go. I contacted the 28th-day crew and asked what I should do with the tickets? sell on isratrance? sell to a friend and change the names? or how should I go about it??? expecting a “we cannot do anything” response and a possible “free” entrance to their next party….to my Surprise…they Refunded my full amount and wished me a speedy recovery!! WOW WOW, not at all what I expected! THANK YOU 28TH DAY! Your understanding is much appreciated, and I am feeling much better now! (very rare people hear things like this about organizers, but wanted you all to KNOW) keep Dancing! and keep Organizing!! This party was, as I expected, SOOO much fun. I was really happy to see so many new and old faces show up. It was the perfect opening to the indoor season. The roof was awesome and even the “dome” looked better the way it was. I was blown away by Artifakt…the set literally evolved from electro-like beats in the beginning and ended with sexy, driving dark beats in the end. I forgot about the trampoline floor, you could continue to dance even while standing still! lol! Ocelot rocked it well….even when the sound had to be turned down Freekfactory delivered a nice sensual performance. Blacklight’s singing went nicely with Lauryn’s fire-hooping. Another great job guys…Even though the info said till 6 or later I was REALLY hoping for “later”. Oh well. Looking forward for the next blow-out. INSANITY is what I call this party!. I and my friend were going to go to some club in NY named Tonic as my friend is not into psytrance he has never heard about it too. I just got a reminder on my phone saying it’s OceLot OnnoMOOOOOOOON + Artifakt playing today. This happened when we were on train I told my friend yo you wanna go there hes like Yea why not let’s try this shit…. As soon as we entered he is like mate what the fuck is this place its insane he is jumping dancing shouting. I saw him coming back to me in a few minutes when I was just bouncing he said “Dude I don’t want to dance anymore” I asked him why he is like dude this music is going in my head it’s making me move I am like yo than you must dance. LOL He was too impressed and has to be as the love in trance is open for everyone its so beautiful and immense it can get anyone in to it almost anyone. Especial ONNOMON played amazing Set … Appreciated for just a good party I am loving this See you guys at the next party @ Nov 10th If you guys missed the pictures go ahead and check it here … They aren’t clicked by me but some other but I thought I will keep it with me for a memory I know I’m a little late to chime in, but I just wanted to say with the chorus how much fun I had, how much I appreciate the efforts of 28th day and the helper gnomes, and how nice it was to see everyone. and it goes without saying that the music start to finish was great (the highlight for me being onnomon). school is kinda killing me and I almost didn’t come out, but I knew this would be a wonderful event, and I knew I probably won’t manage to make it out again for a couple months… and it didn’t disappoint. I don’t see you all enough (even the people I don’t know, but whose smiling faces are part of what make the dancefloor feel like home), and it was great to have so many good conversations throughout the night. the only problem with the party experience for me this time were the number of people I wanted to see but saw only briefly and didn’t have the time to sit down and chat with. and that’s not such a bad problem to have.

Alex Grey One night, while employed at a medical school morgue preparing cadavers and studying the human anatomy, Alex Grey met his wife, Allyson Grey and took l for the first time. Triggering a mystical experience, his agnostic existentialism transformed into radical transcendentalism. Alex has applied this multidimensional perspective to painted visions of crucial human experiences such as praying, kissing, copulating, pregnancy, birth and dying. Portraying the reality, interweaving physical and biological anatomy with psychic and spiritual energies, providing a glimpse into archetypal domains of awareness. Grey’s visual meditation on the nature of life and consciousness, the subject of his art, is contained in three books, Sacred Mirrors and Transfigurations, two monographs that follow the history of Grey’s artistic life, and The Mission of Art which reflects on art as a spiritual practice. With a world-renowned career of exhibitions and keynote addresses from Basel, to Tokyo, to Sao Paulo, Grey’s art has been featured on Discovery Channel, Newsweek, Time, and on album art for Tool, Beastie Boys, Nirvana, and SCI. Alex and Allyson Grey are the co-founders of the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM) a not-for-profit Institution supporting Visionary Culture in New York City. “Grey’s vision of a flawed but perfectible mankind stands as an antidote to the cynicism and spiritual malaise prevalent in much contemporary art.” – The New York Times Allyson Grey An accomplished visionary artist, Allyson Grey’s complex, highly patterned, Spectral painting style has always been influenced and informed by psychedelics. Her maniacal puzzles represent an essentialized world view consisting of chaos, order and secret writing. After receiving MD at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completing a combined residency in neurology and psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts, Dr. Sewe ll recently completed a three-year research fellowship in Alcohol and Drug Abuse at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where he studied the response of cluster headache to psychedelic ds such as psilocybin, l, and LSA. Within the Land of Ash
From 8pm through 9am (13 hours) Starting at 195 Morgan Ave., Brooklyn and continuing throughout the night at another secret location… Details: anger The end of October breeds nights made for mischief. This Saturday we offer an ambitious mixture of the beautiful and the bizarre with two infamous Brooklyn art spaces built out into 13 visions of the afterlife. There is a land just beyond here where surreal shares the stage with the sublime. This is how we live forever-after within the land of ash. The Sound of Perdition: DJ Kimyon : Brings deeply moving soul-infused techno. The Dustbin Brothers: The legendary DJ duo of Spirithood and Incognegro Zemi17 : Moves you with Indonesian inspired dark beats. Rod + Raul Sanche z : An audio/visual experience. Terminal Optic: Of Technics brings a mix of broken beat, breaks to jungle jazz. & the after-hours will be kept dark and sultry with the infamous minimal techno duo: Wolf + Lamb Plus live music by: Sankofa : There are some bands that play with such blood and energy that you experience an internal revolution with the beat and sweat of just one performance. This is that band. Moisturizer: “Moist” Paula (baritone sax), “Moist” Gina (electric bass), and “Moist” Yoshio (drums) all play instruments nearly as big as they are. The only thing bigger is their sound, which rolls gospel, dub, funk-rock, and jazz into one unbelievably hard-hitting instrumental package. Presented by Okay Playa fresh from recording with the production team for The Roots. The Experience of Perpetuity: The artistic visions below range from full-room spectacles to hidden moments of performance and are set throughout both spaces. Vision One : The ImageNode Ambient Heaven This Burning Man bubble dome returns less dusted and more cloudlike with the heavenly sounds of downtempo sound angels Borne, Morgan Packard and Autophage. Vision Two: Hell is What You Make It Columns of flame and interactive fire games including the sheet of fire by Dan Glass and the return of flaming Simon by Erok of the Madagascar Institute. Vision Three: Vertigoes What goes up, must come down. Nate Green and Owe n Schoppe adapt forms from toys, games, and amusement rides to create a large-scale interactive and kinetic environment. Vision Four: The Room of Brick Dark, raw and loud this is the room with bands to move you and cheap drinks to make it all make sense. Vision Five: The Angels of Lady Circus There are some secrets you shouldn’t withhold. The seductresses of the Lady Circus will recruit you into their mass spectacle of lost souls leading to the second event space. This is where the parade begins. After midnight the second (secret) space comes alive and continues way past sunrise with a booming sound system and the creative visions detailed below. Vision Six: The Beauty of Nonsense NonsenseNYC sets up an intimate room of video projections and re-claimed comfort. Vision Seven : The Loamy Earth Broken Puppet & the Society of Agrarian Magicians conjure a rural-delic scene of hot spiked apple cider, jack-o-lanterns, haybales and barnyard aesthetic. Rotating performances by Mickey Western, Shawn Grady, and the Fool’s Jacket Puppet Troupe. Vision Eight: The Dream Catcher A massive outdoor hammock-like mesh of climby nirvana. Vision Nine: The Things I Am (or Once Was ) An interactive video installation of delicate beauty and invisible technology by David Wicks. Vision Ten: The Chikhai Bardo A cloud lounge with visions of liberated truth. Vision Eleven: Eyes Wide Shut A surprise moment by Boring Incorporated. He was infected by the psychedelic trance virus at a young age in Israel…and now resides in NYC to infect others. Around 2002 he and his older brother Noam started to work on music together on a computer-based music software…it was more of an experimental stage and development. Around 2005 he split to work on his own solo project now called EarWorm. This project in itself is aimed more on top-notch nighttime-twlight hi-tek psychedelic frequencies. Just recently in early 2007, he started to get involved on an international level. And hopes that in 2008 he will be even more involved in the psytrance scene…of course with the releases that are on the way and future releases that will leave a positive mark somewhere in the human/alien collective consciousness. TONY UNORTHODOX (28thday NYC) Tony Unorthodox is one of the cogs that make the 28thday wheel spin, and is also one of psyNY’s longest active prog/psy DJs. Is it just me or did Gataka not play that night? And too bad the party finished at 6am, kinda put a damper on a great night. Thank you all for great party..… it was pleasure to see all this beautiful vibe combined to one energetic party. Thanks to all the artist Dj’s and crew who participated and made this event unforgettable. Itai played Sesto Sento live set!! Which came instead of Matan, since his passport was held by one of the embassies.. If you will check our last promotional emails and our website you will see that we excluded Gataka from our promotions. Hopefully, we will be able to see Gataka live in some other time. See you on the next party Alladin Group

The Un-Holiday
After work today – Alice in Wonderland event Shadyvil and Glass Bead Collective present The Un-Holiday: Come confused, leave confused (but a little happier). Concealed in a large basement theatre in Noho, Shadyvil and Glass Bead Collective present The Un-Holiday, a participatory spectacle of sensory engagement, theatrical Uroboros and disorganized assembly. Burrow through the black-lit spiral staircase into an even ing of immersive audio-visual synergy, light-pulsating latex, rabbits and holes, madness and hatters. Somewhere between the bar and the dancefloor, stumble upon other members of the gin induced tea-party and abandon all reticence for a seat, a quick sip and a spin into the story. Mixing interactive theatre with the haphazard dynamic of an immersive visual party we are conducting an experiment in connecting the two genres. Performances by DJs and VJs of Glass Bead Collective and Special Guests TIME: Wednesday, December 5th, 6pm-1am SPACE: Theater at 45 Bleeker (between Lafayette and Mulberry ) ADMISSION: 6-9pm free admission, 9-1 am $5 pre-sale tix, $10 at door (pre-sale at shadyvil/ ) $5 Drink Specials all night

Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson linked to ayahuasca in Peru ayahuascashaman. Info/ (ayahuascashaman. Info/) Owen Wils on, Woody Harrelson linked to ayahuasca in Peru (ayahuascashaman. info/ayahuasca-ceremonies/owen-wilson-woody-harrelson-linked-to-ayahuasca- in-peru) We see on the news that Hollywood actors Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson have arrived in Lima Peru, where they were linked with a woman who leads ayahuasca rituals. However, the report also states Wilson and Harrelson were stopping over in Lima on their way to Cusco and not to the Amazon. Cusco is the gateway to Macho Picchu, where this writer has experienced a hallucinogenic ceremony with a beverage made from the San Pedro cactus, and not from the ayahuasca vine. It is more likely, it seems to me, that the two actors are more likely to encounter San Pedro than ayahuasca if indeed they are going to Cusco and Machu Picchu. Of course, this does not rule out the possibility that there may be a shaman leading an ayahuasca ceremony in Cusco or Machu Picchu. It just seems more likely that, if they’re going to Peru for the purpose of an ayahuasca experience, it’s more likely they’d be heading for the Amazon. We know that Harrelson has a history of being a cannabis activist, for which we applaud. It was also widely publicized that Wilson recently attempted suicide. It, therefore, is speculated that Harrelson may be taking Wils on under his protective wing to help get his head sorted out. A journey into Peru’s Sacred Valley and a meeting with a curandero seem like positive steps in that direction. One hopes the news media will not let this interesting story fall through the cracks. Should ayahuasca be a positive ingredient in Wilsons getting back on a more constructive path, it would be a good thing for the rest of the world to hear about.

The Vacuum is Philadelphia’s finest underground party spot. I’ve been to many techno events there and am so excited to be involved with its first psychedelic party. We are making that place look the trippiest its ever been. Partying is what we all do best, so it’s refreshing to know that we can do it for a good cause. so that was a blast. the dance floor was popping from the time I got there (~midnight) til whenever the lights went on, and the chill lounge (whenever I could make myself leave the main floor) was sultry and groovy. the place was packed, everyone was in a good mood, and even the rain outside was somehow a treat. the music was great from start to finish. pat warmed me up and I was so ready for Lauryn and Dave, who really brought it— hard as f*ing nails! just how I like it. I’d never seen earworm play and was looking forward to it, and my expectations were more than matched. can’t wait to see him again. and the zuloop set was groovy, beautifully-produced, stompers– the only thing it lacked was the sunrise it so richly deserved. I was too busy dancing to bother with photos, but I saw lots of flashes going off all night. post those up here people! I don’t get to go out much, so I have high hopes each time I do. and this time I couldn’t have been more pleased. props to Gaian Mind crew, all their helper gnomes, and everyone who shared it. til next time! the last time I was at the vacuum for some minimal techno party I didnt like the place at all … but this time the girls (great job Melanie, Valerie, Meghan , Lyn and others ) put in so much love in the place it was hard to believe I was at the same house !! sweet deco and good video projections main floor: fractal phono played some super groovy tracks … sounded so fresh … welcome sounds for all the beautiful people … karmakanik played next lifting the bpm making everyone move … had to run to work at the kitchen so wasn’t there for his entire set … but then came down to trance dance hard on some killa dark by Lauryn and eg-bot … good selection of tracks … didn’t stay for earworm but zuloop !! … such good mix of tracks .. kept everyone on their feet …. nice energy and great mixes to end the night but chill area upstairs was special started with Deet playing some great fluffy stuff … and Keith playing some really trippy tracks which was just wow … end to his set was the perfect start to prolly the best set of the night .. yes it was KILOWATTS’s music that transformed the place into a psychedelic garden full of happy smiling butterfly faces radiating so much love and energy which was jus amazing … 2 hrs were spent in a state of trance and bliss … and yes anand was such a good add on … had the best time connecting with everything around me … missed much of Onnomon’s set but for the time I was there, it was different then what he plays …. liked it though with every Gaian Mind party new connections are made .. new bonds are formed … much thanks to everyone for coming in sharing amazing vibes … I just love my family !! Great time, EarWorm did it right. I had a great time not because he is my friend but because of the quality production, and of course his aura. The only style of psy music I can dance without drugs. I haven’t dancin’ and sweatin’ for a very long time since the birds of all those criminal theme music out there. Upstair also was super cozy, my fav was the Hell Kitchen. Where else can you get the Blueberry Smoothie and killer Veggy Chili at the psytrance party? Wow, what an amazing party and we were able to donate $4,000 to Ananda and family. Thank you so very much to each and every one of you that made it out and helped with donations, hard work and just filling the place with all the smiles and love anyone could ask for, and for making this benefit a huge success. The space is great, the music was fantastic and the deco and visuals were awesome! Special thanks to Guillaume, your visuals were wicked, Severyn, you will always be my favorite artist, the place looked amazing, Earworm, loved you set! and Andrew thanks for the morning grooviness and sorry your trip in was a little out of the ordinary, but at least I was lucky enough to break down with some fun people in the car that made me laugh! I spy with my little eye~~ Hope you had a safe trip back to the UK! All in all this was a wonderful benefit/party/reunion! Much love to our old and new ever-growing family! Hope to see many of you at the NY benefit January 27th at Club Touch!

28thdayActuate NYE + Di8orient NYD & Freek Factory present: ACTUATE
11 hours of NYE revelry at a classic psychedelic loft party in Brooklyn! tickets will remain available until Sunday, after which point you’ll have to get tickets at the door. We’ve gotten lots of requests for insight as to the styles of music of the artists playing in the main room. For those of you who are unfamiliar with these acts and haven’t listened to the promotional audio, Theo of 28thday has been kind enough to produce the Actuate Psyfloor Cheat Sheet! See below for a quick rundown of the trance acts and what to expect, and read below that for the scoop on the afterparty! PSYFLOOR Mayur Dark, tribal progressive. Tony Unorthodox A glorious union of prog electro-techno and psytrance. This 28thday resident has been laying down the groovy, chunky goodness for years. One of the best DJs I know, and I’ve heard enough of his sets that if I were going to get sick of them it would have happened already. Shadow Machine (live) The new live-only tech-trance project from the minds that bring you D-Space. Expect a dark, otherwordly soundtrack to your life in the matrix. Christer Straight-up SA style full-on. Christer’s world-class sets at Psynoptic Shift and the Divine Balance benefit have left waves of Christer-converts in his wake. Monks of Madness (live) The new full power darkpsy project from American producers Arahat and Bodhisattva 13:20. These guys have torn it up at every gig they’ve done as Monks, including a set at AUM that was widely regarded as the best of the festival. Bodhi is a classically trained pianist. Tron (live) Melodic morning full-on phenom Tron originates in Mexico City, but his North American origin hasn’t prevented him from playing out at places like Wickerman Festival in Scotland, Glade Festival in UK, Solstice Fest in Holland, Underwater Overground Festival in Croatia, Earthdance in Brazil, and Tetris Safari in Ireland. Tron’s album Existence combines melodic basslines with glitchy goodness. Magnetrixx (live) Groovy tribal progressive live PA. Wired and Phase Shift are two of my fav albums from this genre, and I love an artist whose tech rider consists of good monitoring and extra table space for his gear. I’m expecting an awesome morning set from this guy to welcome the new year. The afterparty! We’ve partnered with Disorient to offer a reduced price to a Disorient’s New Year’s Day party. So if you’d like to keep going after Actuate, you can head over to a for 8… recharge, feast on french toast breakfast, and dance well into the afternoon! More details below. Or, you can buy a combination presale ticket from 28thday for $80, which includes admission to both events. To get this ticket, select the “ACTU-8 Combo Ticket” option on the presale form. First off, we’d like to express gratitude for everyone who came out to our Actuate NYE party and to share regret of its unexpected early closing. Both the 28thday and Freek Factory crews worked tirelessly to create a special night, and we were saddened to have that cut short by the authorities. Although we always do everything in our power to secure the integrity of our events, there is always some risk inherent in underground parties. The NYPD seems to have been on the warpath this New Year’s, with many underground NYE events have come to an abrupt and unceremonious end. We realize that NYE is a high-investment party night, that everyone paid an NYE-caliber ticket price and that some people even traveled quite far to come to the event. Countless props to all of you for coming out. It is and has been 28thday’s policy to deliver all artists as advertised at every event, and to always pay all artists and venues in full. Actuate was no exception to this. The financial reality is that we are now facing a very large deficit from the event, and are unable to offer any refunds of the ticket price, as some have asked. We appreciate everyone’s support in our endeavors to offer quality nightlife in a climate that is often inhospitable to it, and wish you all the best in the new year. -28thday overall…. great party! …until about 4am that is. the boys in blue shut us down for a combination of little things, including (but not limited to) being in possession of alcohol (5% cheap champagne) and having propane heaters in the tent on the upper floor. they had a whole list of things. really, sounds like they just wanted the party to be shut down with whatever excuse they could use. but aside from the early shutdown…this party was really going off……in both rooms. it was definitely a nice even balance, most people were bouncing back and forth to and from each area. GREAT deco and music in the main room, but not so much the case for the upper floor IMO (upstairs the DJs couldn’t mix and the music was pretty cheezy, and IM a fan of breaks and D+B, but the people didn’t care and were dancing and having a good time so it was cool). We as the Monks were asked to turn off the music at the end of our second track, just about 15 minutes into our set. oh well, we’ll have to come back soon and make up for it. aside from all that…BIG thanx to the organizers for EVERYTHING!!! they are definitely a solid crew, totally professional and reliable, they took care of us well. there’s nothing they could have done to prevent the cops from shutting the event down. just about all the major underground community events in NYC were shut down by the NYPD last night, with a few organizers even going to jail.It was a sweep of some kind, involving undercover officers, bouncer informants, fire marshals, and squads of goons in blue. Officers from the 77th Precinct came fishing around Grand Space at least 3 separate times over the course of night, poking around for any justification to shut it down. Anyone truly annoyed by the early shutdown should contact Deputy Inspector John Cosgrove of the 77th Precinct at (718) 735-0611 and register your complaints. And if anyone REALLY cares, and isn’t just a spoiled psytrance consumer (oink oink), they should show up and complain at the next community council meeting, which will be held on Monday 1/17/08 at 7:30 at 127 Utica Avenue. he event shutdown was a disappointment, but I have to say that everybody I met at this party made me smile. It was full of fun people just letting loose and dancing their asses off, and like bodhi said, in both rooms. I dig the multi-genre events sometimes. they add another dimension of characters. I have friends in the burning man community here on the west coast who had glorious things to say about the Freek Factory cats that were upstairs, but I agree with bodhi again that their music was quite sub-standard compared to other stuff being released in that genre. They could still rock the dancefloor though, even if the tunes were 8 years old. of the sets I did get to hear, Christer rocked it. he really got the energy of the room under control and took it through the roof after just a couple songs into his set. This guy can mix and create a wild story with his sets. I really hope to see more of him in the states. We took a bunch of pics, we’ll have them posted on our tribes and myspace pages in the next few days or so. very well said and such a good acid test it was !! I did want the party to go forever ( maybe 28 days ) and was waiting for Magnetrixx and Tron to spin but yes shit happens … the bust was a good reality check of the system we are living in had a good time meeting people and sharing great vibes … everyone have a great new year and keep trance dancing Big thank you to 28th day and Freek factory for throwing down for New Years, despite the unfortunate circumstances. The time I spent there was awesome and I rang in the new year in a perfect way surrounded by great people. The fireworks on the roof were a great and unexpected touch. I hope the organizers at least went home with some $$$ in their pocket…that don’t have to go to paying the fines. Illegal or not, the roof was HOKT UP and looked great, so did downstairs. My night was saved via Disorient and me and my friends made the best of the rest of the morning. *The council meeting sounds like a good idea, who knows what is going to happen to NYC’s trance scene-I’m afraid it might suffer the same fate as the rave scene. I peeped the captain of the swine grab one of each of the flyers layin out on the table in Grandspace as he made his way out of the venue to go grill people and spread the fear and oppression vibe as they were leaving… I guess this was their version of reconnaissance while they were on the “inside”…so just be careful, and pay attention everyone…who knows when and where they might ” bless” us with their presence again…Pigs are now hooked into the underground scene armed with enough info to do lots of damage over the next few months if they so choose Many thanks 28th birthday and freekity deekity factorious for the wonderful concerted effort. I didn’t personally really have enough time to catch much of a groove at this party but my night wound up perfect regardless…things happened exactly the way they needed to as usual Especially thanks to Disorient and all the lovely attendees, the after (truly)rocked(hard) and really made my night, free love woot woot! This event certainly had allot of potential. The effort put into the Deco as well as the lineup is very appreciated. The tent space upstairs looked great as well but unfortunately, I have to agree with Bodhi and Arahat and say the DJ’s were pretty bad. All of that aside it was extremely disappointing to travel to NYC for a new year’s party, with great expectations, and end up in Brooklyn with no place to go and nothing to do except sit in a diner for 6 hours. I completely understand that it was not the organizers fault, but, the truth is Myself (and I am sure many others) spent a lot of time, effort, and money to spend new years on the street, or in some hotel. Its great that 28th day gets great DJs to come out, but having a planned second location, just in case, when charging people 65-85 dollars does not seem unreasonable, even if it’s just a shitty warehouse. Again I do appreciate the effort put into organizing this party, but, I really had a terrible new years. That was a great party and I can’t wait to see what come out of this in the way of keeping the cops outta the picture in the future. As far as I can see 28th day did everything right from renting the tent and heating for the roof to hiring outside security. If bringing in the fire dept to shut us down on their second or third visit they were definitely reaching for excuses! I would like to go to the hearing but I’m not sure if it is Monday the 14th or Thursday the 17th??? Thanks again 28th day – gwyn Happy New Year everyone! Thank you 28th Day for putting yourselves out there and giving us the ideal environment to celebrate the new year! The cops had arrived just before us and when they came again later on you knew there were just looking for any excuse… I met friends whom I hadn’t met in years! There was such good energy, everyone was smiling! Everyone just wanted to have a good time with positive vibes and that was awesome! Thank you everyone there for sharing their energy and those moments which we will always cherish. Love & Respect if there had been Psychedelic Chillout on the roof instead of drum n bass and house music maybe the night would have ended better… In fact, if they had a strict “Advance ticket sales only” policy, then you would completely avoid the overcrowding you know…?
