Machinelf Anyone need cheap rent? Live/work OK Note: Rent includes utilities. See below for weekly rent and daily rent. Share a set of doctor’s offices with two alternative health companies (Nootrition and FTNOnline.org) on the first floor of a high rise. Your name on the sign outside. We had been using this as extra storage and a de facto kitchen of sorts but we never use it. Very clean. You would have a windowed room with a sliding door. We can install a lock on the door for you. There is a bathroom for shared use and an air conditioner. There is a reception area for extra space that you can utilize per the landlord’s discretion. The offices have a vibe reminiscent of the offices in the recent film Eternal Sunshine of the Enlightened Mind. We rarely have visitors on premises as Nootrition is a web retailer and FTNOnline has no retail customers per se. There is a doorman in the building, the neighborhood has affordable amenities all very close, and it’s 2 blocks from the F train and 30 minutes from downtown Manhattan. We would consider a weekly rental of $100/week. Also as we are setting up a Hypnosis service here, a nutritionist/chiropractor/massage therapist etc renting this at $20/day would be negotiable. Live/work situations OK (but there is no actual shower) We would need a one-month security deposit and first month’s rent. We will not hold the room without payment. There is no phone line or Internet installed but you are free to install. One of the tenants lives in the building so in emergency situations you would have access to a shower/phone/Internet access. Call 718-676-5347 or email jeffMachinelf at aol for more information. This is a sublet that has been cleared with building management. Cheers, Machinelf/ Director Trance Americana 301 Beverley Road Ofc PR4 Brooklyn, NY 11218 (718) 676-5347

Expect a powerful and professional set, from one of the west coast powerhouses. For this gathering, Paradigm will be presenting one of his trademark morning sets. He has been spinning and producing psytrance since 2001 and is currently throwing parties with Gaian Mind and PSI. Always on the cutting edge of music, he has been hard at work blending minimal psytrance with textured soundscapes, samples, and hooks that just can’t be denied. His tracks are a twisting journey through psychedelia. Expect a dark and twisted DJ set courtesy of Eg~bot. *** PSYLAB * LIVE * (Sonic Beating, Boston) | psylabunderground.com One of the most energetic electronic live acts, Psylab was conceived in early 2005 with a mission to introduce a full human element into the realm of electronic dance music. Every sound in Psylab is created entirely in real-time by 4 musicians and producers. Psylab’s primary focus is on psytrance styles, and they are also known to perform full sets of drum n bass, house, dubstep and downtempo. Psylab has been teaming up with skilled DJs and electronic bands, performing at regional weeklies, private parties, and underground events. Psylab will be performing at this year’s Camp Bisco V fest, shortly after they return from an appearance at Portugal’s bi-annual Boom Festival. *** TONY UNORTHODOX (28thday, NYC) Tony’s been silently cultivating the NYC psytrance underground for several years, and his reputation as a purveyor of exceptional music is well-earned. Having recently rocked the morning dancefloors at Organic Sunrise and Best of the West 4, Tony will once again share with us his immaculate taste in banging, sexy, funky-ass progressive. This party was way more exciting than I expected it to be. Even though it did start a bit late due to technical difficulties it quickly picked up the pace and turned out to be a good time. the first psytrance “band” was pretty terrible. their music was weak and mildly stimulating at best. they should have some more practice before performing again. the following DJs did a great job though– providing us with twisted nighttime music. the sand was fun to dance on and the light rain was refreshing. the sunrise set was my favorite. great job!!!! thanks again to all involved. well….28th day did it again …though some rain and a missing DJ mixer got the party off to a slow start, the beach setting was enough to keep everyone patient and in good spirits…EG-bot held things together really well with only a Behringer studio mixer to work with, and Paradigm was anything BUT disappointing, working the floor into a morning frenzy…the environment was really the best you could ask for in NY, and made us forget where we were…big thanks to Ron and 28th day for finding the amazing spot, and to Theo for among other things, preventing any drama when the authorities finally did show (which probably wouldn’t have happened if there wasn’t a bad accident on the road directly aDJacent to the party) what time did the authorities show up? did they just make everyone leave? no one got in any trouble? anyone have pics to share, I am curious to see the location? I think the cops came by around 1pm. they didn’t seem particularly upset, either. I think cops came 12 but whenever it was, it was way before the accident, we were already cleaning everything up when I heard that crashing sound right next to me. not a very positive event after such a wonderful time. sad to hear that the party did get busted at one point, but at least it was at the very end of things and not the beginning….. anyways I had a wonderful time and met some great people who I am hoping to stay in touch with. The spot was quite nice, and the dancefloor hopping…. Musically I enjoyed quite a lot of it. Eg-Bot, really impressed with the way he handled things with the mixer difficulties. Big props.. I also dug Tony’s morning prog set, and the impromptu 3-way tag with Coral, Lauryn and Dimitri. As for Psylab, I think as a group they have a lot of potential. True live acts like that are very very rare, I think they just need to work out some bugs in their performance first, but that’s one of those things that with practice comes perfection and lastly, thanks to Theo & 28th day for putting it all together thru the weather and what other snags came up. They did a great job, and deserve support and thanks on this one, esp. after having the man rain on your parade.Never an easy thing to digest for a promoter Hoping I will back out there to do it all again sometime soon Getting to the party was half the fun, next time maybe warn people that the buses stop running. My group was trying to be discrete and not look too big until we turn a corner and see a mob of freaks casually waiting for the bus at 2:30am. Hahaha! It was too funny. Some random guy, who wanted to make some money became our cab and shuttled us to the hotel. They came from the beach, not the parking lot, and as others have noted this all happened before the car accident on the road. Thank you for the most uber-lovely event! Sunrise was most spectacular. The LCD tag-team effort won some hearts It was educational to hear Paradigm on the right, or left if you look from the other direction (i mean opposite from the other one ) coast. Horseshoe crabs and surrealistically green grass growing on the purple sand added to the experience. Thank’s again, guys! looking forward to the next one. It was actually really funny because the cops were there at 11, and me and my friend were wandering out in the water. They came from down the beach, and walked past the party, and left our sight, chilled or did whatever for a while, and came back about an hour later, and busted it. I thought that was pretty funny. But I had an awesome time. Everyone had some great sets. And I was so happy to hear some good fast music in the morning!! Great party! Thanks

Orange mothballs for sale – New drug arrived, and Scenes update
First off, I just got in 10kg of Phenibut, it’s sort of a nootropic valium that has antidepressant and antianxiety properties. Hits you in 10-30 minutes and then you spend hours smiling, laughing, relaxed, you just want to sit in a chair to shoot the breeze. Do not consume with alcohol as it makes it stronger. if you’re unsure about it just get a $5 sample. Everyone in the trance scene that I’ve given it to really enjoys it as it’s more like a narcotic than anything else I sell. Perfect for a coming down off of other wilder things, or just for chilling socially. Here’s the link to buy and get info – web nootrition I’m going to working a lot more with Nootrition/Nootropica now that the renovation is done and the business is profitable. If anyone is looking for me, the best place to instantly reach me is via Live help at web nootrition/aboutus I’m hearing from different places that the scene is in a big lull… Deeper in Zen was saying that psy scene has had its day in SF and he’s moving to L.A., many of the guys are leaving Boston for SF, etc etc At least we in New York have Ben, Scott and Theo and a wide cast of family to keep things good. I am postponing the launch of Trip O ut North America until reporters are hired in the States – have one in Japan and Moscow but none here. That’s the last thing I’ve said I was going to do, and have not.

Disorient at Club Exit
Go Disorient!!! Disorient had for the first time a trance room last night at Brooklyn’s club exit and let me tell you I’ve never ever ever seen anything like that energy. A perfect combo of polyamorical sex and psychedelia, and a lot more o f an even gender balance than most big parties these days. Lots of hoola hoopers. Email Pierre at flyvision.org (he did the breathing bubble for the DM T bridge event Breath in 2004) and thank him for his adventurousness (I won’t even go into his costume last nightt85.) tell him you will go to his Disorient style burning man parties if he continues to book DJs like Babla an d Luis. Trancers and Burners make for a great crowd, but not too many of each &
Remember those long and sunny days, blenderdrink in hand, rocking out to delicious funky tribal house at the Deep End? Remember freaking out under the full moon way out on the two o’clock road, as Moontribe played to parts of you you didn’t know existed? Remember rioting around the UniMog, or Tuesday nights at Disorient, or Decompression ’04 – the Space Cowboys raining intergalactic breaks on you from above? Looking for a chance to try out that new fiberoptic furry- licious costume you’ve been designing? Want to hit the dancefloor and see if you still know how to hoop in those 6-inch playa platforms? Still waiting for your first trip to Burning Man, and want a taste? Disorient Presents: Compressor 2.0. Your Playa Pre-Party. Friday August 4th, 10 pm- 6 am Club Exit 149 Greenpoint Avenue, Brooklyn Tickets $15 in advance, available NOW at www.disorient.com $20 at the door Kramer (Deep End) Kapt’n Kirk (Space Cowboys) Danny Corn (Moontribe) JP001 (Rhythmism, Freek Factory) Orion (Disorient) SubSwara – Dhruva, Haj, Sunder (SubSwara, Freek Factory) 3L3TRONIC – Devo & Bianca The Eye (Turquoise Trance, Disorient) Babla (Kagdila) Luis (Dreamcatcher) Galen (SlitNYC, 801sound.com) www.club-exit.com – Greenpoint and Manhattan Avenues. G train to Greenpoint. Less than a month before the annual Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert, Disorient invites you to experience a piece of the playa brought right to New York City. Under a glowing garden of mushrooms and starfish, surrounded by beautiful Freeks in next-level finery, revelers will dance to the soundtrack of their playa memories and prepare for this year’s journey to the desert. Disorient is an arts collective that has made its presence felt at the Burning Man festival since 2001, and has brought a new level of Glam-Tech to the New York underground party scene. With art installations, blinking lights, and pumping bass, Disorient has created unique and unforgettable events in raw spaces and established clubs throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. For this event, they have curated a top-notch lineup of west coast heroes and local favorites to provide mind-altering transportation from this up and coming Brooklyn nightclub straight to the Black Rock Desert. The three headliners of the event have each earned their playa pedigree many times over. Kapt’n Kirk of the Space Cowboys was one of the first DJs to introduce breaks music to Burning Man. Kramer from the Deep End champions one of the largest and most respected all-day house music parties at the event, and is making his NYC debut at Compressor. Also making his New York debut is Danny Corn from LA’s Moontribe. Moontribe has been throwing legendary full moon desert parties for over 15 years, and Disorient is psyched to let New Yorkers hear his twisted brand of desert breaks. Rounding out the lineup are local favorites JP001, Sub Swara, and Galen Mica, Disorient’s own Orion and The Eye, plus burner DJs 3L3TRONIC, and trance beats from Babla and Luis. Just like the Burning Man festival, this party offers every genre of music imaginable throughout the night. Visual Artists AKAirways and Leo Villareal will showcase their playa- friendly art installations, including interactive inflatables and intelligent lighting. With two rooms of sound, plus a Puddle Lounge, every inch of this newly redesigned nightclub will be filled with music and light, the stage will host dancers and hooping performances, and the dancefloor will be home to New York’s costume elite showing off their Burner couture for 2006. If you ever Burned, you will want to get ignited here with us. If you know friends waiting for their fire to be sparked, start their fire here. Friday, August 4th (2006) 10 pm- 6 am Club Exit 149 Greenpoint Avenue, Brooklyn Tickets $15 in advance, $20 at the door. www.disorient.com http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/5964

What a nice party it turned out to be…GMS was not missed at all…the DJs playing there put such an energy on the dance floor that at some point it was even difficult to find a place to dance. Cris played a nice warm-up set that put everyone on the mood for a great dancing experience. Sinpatex and Raul kept the energy flowing…and then Elnadiv came, and for me was the highlight of the night. Viiuuushhhhh… killer tracks over killer tracks… I was surprised for such a great party at Avalon. This one will not be missed for sure. Thanks Alladin Crew for another great night!
I was in no way bashing the party or my friends who are part of Alladin Project… I unfortunately couldn’t make it so I have nothing to voice about the party, positive or negative… I am simply trying to preserve the integrity of discussion on this forum by pointing out a blatantly suspicious pattern of posting…3 members joining on the same day, the 4th within the last month, all with similar posting styles, and seemingly no other purpose than to hype up a party…if further research confirms that these accounts are duplicates, then they will be deleted…so keep it real, always….thanks, and apologies to anybody that was offended inadvertently CHIKLES VALEDOR 17 posts orbis 4 posts nitido 1 posts Geminis 2 posts ian 2 posts have all registered from the same ip. furthermore, they all have been posting from the same ip when they post as different handles. you guys do the rest of the math, I have extreme faith in the moderators we pick to conduct the forum in the direction we would like it to go to. saying all of this, this still doesn’t mean that these people dont exist… it is theoretically possible for all of them to be loggin in and outstanding around each other every time they post from the same computer… perhaps they are all really really really really close friends, you decide.

Full power to you brother… Keep them coming! Rachel… energy beacon of the floor! The vibes flow, twist, turn, grow when you dance. Thank you for being you… Happy Birthday! Echo Lake Multigenre

this is the link to the myspace group I think that’s the only place they are promoting it so if you show up say you are there for facehead ITll boost my pay.
As far as I know there is Myself doing live/DJ
doktor spook/witchdokta live/DJ and other various psy DJs that I haven’t been informed about. as well as all other genres. also it says there will be chances for walk-on DJs so any psy folks want to sway this event for trance show up with your cds any questions ill try to answer but I’m kinda in the dark on it myself.
Never again. The worst party I’ve ever been to. I want to clarify that I have NO affiliation with the people responsible for the mess that was this party. But still feel the need to apologize since I was the one who posted it on here. I feel bad. I won’t play a multi-genre event again. maybe I’m just spoiled but the crowd didn’t care about music didn’t care about the property didn’t care about the other people. I was fortunate enough to find a few good people to help salvage the weekend. I got kicked out at 4:00am Sunday. got twenty dollars thrown at me which to get that was like pulling teeth. After being shouted at and falsely accused of threatening people. I was glad to get kicked out it made me feel just. I was being pushed out of the middle of my live set by more drum and bass Ben was supposed to go on after me but they roughed up his decks while they disconnected them despite my telling them otherwise then went to force their music in the middle of my set. So I shut my laptop in the middle of track and packed my shit gave them a few words in front of the room and walked out. Ben I’m sorry I didn’t stop them but there wasn’t anything Else I could do at that point. I’m not gonna wrestle over a fader when there is nobody in charge of anything. So much for the musical education. Oh well all the good folk I met this weekend will be at kapow. see you all there. :chuk:

August 20 Sunday
28th Day – 28th Day – Prog in the Park

28thday is pleased to announce the next in our series of free summer open-airs! Come join us Sunday morning after the Metaforce event for… REEFER DECREE (Iboga) Oliver Bierlich Nonell, the creator behind Reefer Decree, Oryx and upcoming new project Oliver Jones, has put his forces towards the much-awaited “re-launch” album of Reefer Decree! A project that started as a collaboration between Jiwook Bijl and Oliver Bierlich which was sadly terminated in the recent years, is hereby re-launched as a new project; Oliver Reefer is back! He is back using his creative individuality and cutting right thru to the essence of the Reefer sound with tender, touching, groovy and extremely funky material. OSIRIS INDRIYA (Iboga Records | Oracle Gatherings | IOSIS Art Party) http://www.osirisindriya.com A legend of the west coast underground dance scene, Osiris Indriya has been deep into creating several projects. He has teamed up with Infinite Connections to bring the best of Europe’s tribal progressive trance music and world-class art to the Pacific Northwest in a series of events called IOSIS Art Parties. As co-founder of the Oracle Gatherings, he is bringing a new paradigm in a growing dance community by integrating with the Northwest’s mythical undercurrent. All this has helped inspire the release of his all-original progressive and downtempo CD, “Reach Within”. D-SPACE (LIVE) (Jay and Steve, Soular Records | D-Space Studios New England) http://www.myspace.com/dspacestudios D-Space (Soular Records from the way back) are together again after a three-year exploration mission. Refreshed after their journey into the depths of innerspace and studio production, the lads have a new trance album in the works for you. They will be weaving together some live and kicking psygrooves made especially for a day in the park with our friends and family. EQUISOL (PsyBooty Records | D-Space Studios SW, Florida) http://www.myspace.com/equisol Steve (Equisol) grew up around music. His grandfather and father were musicians, but his own musical experience has taken on a few different forms. However, that feeling, that certain energy he feels in sounds as they interlace themselves has tied all forms together. Currently he writes, produces, performs and mixes progressive trance and deep groove trance for the dance floor. KARMAKANIK (Gaian Mind | PSI, Philadelphia) https://web.archive.org/web/20200201070651/http://www.gaian-mind.com:80/ Mastermind behind the legendary Philadelphia Shamanista Initiative (PSI), Pat has rocked crowds up and down the east coast with both full-on and progressive psychedelic sounds. A true trance veteran with an ear for tunes that clean one’s head and compel the body to dance… smooth yet crunchy, raw yet refined, psychedelicious and immensely satisfying. The Sound of the Philly Underground! TONY UNORTHODOX (28thday, NYC) Tony’s been silently cultivating the NYC psytrance underground for several years, and his reputation as a purveyor of exceptional music is well-earned. Having recently rocked dancefloors at SubTonic and 28thday’s Best of the West 5 beach party, Tony will once again share with us his immaculate taste in banging, sexy, funky-ass progressive. This is a free morning/daytime event. Further details, including exact times and location, will be released on the 28thday mailing list.
I haven’t been to a party for ages not to say an outdoor one. The scene in NY became boring, same DJ who doesn’t know how to play, same venues all the time, and taking in consideration that I missed the festival season because of work I started to grow out of the trance scene. But yesterday was a reminder why once I loved it so much, the party was In the middle of a jungle, yes it was a concrete jungle but you can call a park in Bedford Stuyvesant jungle. But it was outdoors (I don’t know how the guys from 28th Day production got the permit), under a sunny (mostly) sky and we were dancing bare feet ))))), oh and all the technical stuff like good sound, great music, smiling beautiful people. The interesting part was that the locals didn’t know what hit them, a bunch of long hair/tattooed/colorful hippies dancing in the middle of a day to a booming sound of progressive/psychedelic trance, there was a little “fence” surrounding the big lawn that was the “stage” and they were standing behind it for quite a while, looking at us thinking … who cares what they were thinking. I think they had fun too. Oh and to those people who called this event the after-party, no way!!! It was the main event, the main event of the summer in NYC. once again, Theo and company bringing us the kind of party that should have happened a long time ago in this city…it was pretty surreal to have this happen as it did, in a park in the middle of the “ghetto”, the crowd steadily growing throughout the day, as well as people’s grins…but my favorite part was seeing the reaction of the locals…the whole event seemed to spread a calmness over an otherwise rough neighborhood, and some of those kids couldn’t get enough of the music!…needless to say, this capped off what was a refreshing weekend for trance in NY I think the neighborhood deserves some credit too, for being chill and openminded about a bunch of kids who show up one random morning and start playing music at high volume in their park, judging us by our actions and not the fact that we are not from the neighborhood. In my experience that neighborhood is pretty chill in general, it may be low income, but it doesn’t feel particularly tense to me either. I’ve never had any sort of negative experience there, so I don’t think we can take credit for spreading calmness. We just came and were us, the locals came out and were just who they are, and it worked out great, we all came together and had a beautiful day, no more, no less. That is the essence of the beauty of Sunday. Now the challenge is to focus on and hold on to that love and live by it. A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out and helped make Prog in the Park such a ridiculously good time this past Sunday! This was truly a communal creation, and we would also like to acknowledge the following individuals for their support: Aaron, Anrei, Ben, Dandraver, Guy, Mayur, Pat, Pedro, Ron, Sahil, Stas, Steve, Vlad, Zev, the entire 28thday and psyNY crew, all the DJs and producers, the NYC parks department, NYPD Community Affairs, everyone who helped us set up and tear down, and the local Brooklyn community. Also extra special thanks to Joanne for negotiating with Mother Nature some unexpected beautiful weather! Summer may be winding down, but we have at least one more trick up our sleeve before the indoor migration begins. 28thday is headed back to the beach on September 9th — mark your calendars and stay tuned for details! I am still letting the whole experience sink in as I am sitting in another airport on my way to Tokyo. The 28thday crew really pulled off something special. I am so happy I got to participate in the event and in a part of the permitting process. I fully believe that the integration with the locals was a next-level expression of the universal language of music. Thank you to all who made this event possible, and I hope to see you all again soon! Extra thanks to: Theo, Mayur, Vlad, Tony, Marissa & Nicole for making my stay in NY a real blast! You really have something special here.

TDC – CKA3KA at Echo Lake

Trance Dance Festival “SKA3KA” is rolling to town on Friday, August 25th to Sunday 27th. Wizards, fairies, elves, ogres, mutants as well as humans are all gathering to be a part of a magical fairytale called SKA3KA.
ACOUSTIC GURUS ARE: JELLY (JellyHeadz – Tantrumm Records, France) – DJ SET JellyHeadz is what happens when two alien brains collide. The project was born in 1996. From the beginning Fabio and Karim developed a very massive, twisted, groovy, deeply nervous, and totally underground psychedelic music. With the passing years, their talent and their style remain strong. They keep that anti-establishment and revolutionary mind spirit which is peculiar to both of them. WIZACK TWIZACK (Stoneage Records, Sweden) – LIVE SET Wizack Twizack is the wild sonic excursion of Tommy Axelsson, born in 1981 and residing in the capital of Sweden, Stockholm. Wizack Twizack is the expression of dark psytrance and works as a storytelling mirror, taking you onto trips in the darkest hour reflecting the wicked tribal gatherings that have been going on in the Swedish forests throughout the years! Forest music at its best! MONNO (Grapes Of Wrath, Parvati Records, Denmark) – DJ SET When Monno Wurtz and Jaffa Skouborg in 1998 ran out of King Size rolling papers, a decision was made to twidle out Ultra Spankadelic Power Trance. Jaffa having a past as a guitar monsta, rocking the rootless underground scene of Hammel. He has a mission to create the crunchtastic leads. Together with Monno, and Ultra Phunkadelic Bass machine, untamed from the outer wilderness of Hornslet, the Grapes of Wrath was created. This mix of Hoebo and HiFi became the key to the Grapes Unparalleled universe of bass n noize… ONNOMON (Soular Records, Philadelphia) – LIVE Onnomon, from Philadelphia, is rapidly emerging as one of the top psytrance producers in the world. His recent album, ‘No Monno’ was referred to as ‘An utterly smashing surprise…’ on psyreviews.com. He’s had releases on countless labels and recently returned from touring in Israel. His unique style is not to be missed! ANCIENT-BEACH (Japan) – LIVE Nozomi, aka Ancient-Beach, started involving himself with music in 1994. It did not take him so long to start creating his own music, and after all the intensive work in his studio, he finally set out as Ancient-Beach mainly in the Tokyo area. Deep and beautiful melody on the smashing bass line is the trademark of his music. His live performance has already received loads of favorable reviews and he has been booked for festivals throughout Japan. MUKTISVARA (TDC Underground – NYC) – LIVE & DJ SET Sergey and Eugene combine their forces on the MuktIsvara project, creating a trip into the darker circles of the subterranean world. With an emphasis on high-quality production, MuktIsvara’s driving basslines and scratching leads will power you toward unsanity. EG_BOT (Gaian Mind, PSI – Philadelphia, NYC) David McGee (aka Eg~Bot) offers a wealth of inspiration with a touch of dark humor to his works. He has been spinning/producing psytrance since 2001 and is currently throwing parties with Gaian Mind and PSI. Always on the cutting edge of music, he has been hard at work blending minimal psytrance with textured soundscapes, samples and hooks that just can’t be denied. His tracks are a twisting journey through psychedelia. Expect a dark and twisted DJ set courtesy of EG~BOT. LAURYN (Alkaloid/Mistical Productions – Boston) Lauryn is a label DJ with Alkaloid Productions based in Australia and is affiliated with Texas-based Mistical Productions. She also works with Ketuh Records as promotions and bookings manager. In the past six years, Lauryn has played across the United States and in Europe, sharing the stage with many well known international acts. She is known for her energetic night-time psychedelic sets as well as the occasional morning chillout grooves. MUTEX (TDC Underground – NYC) Master engineer, expert journey-maker, TDC Crew member Gabriel is mixing together a recipe of psychedelic mayhem to power up the night. CORAL (T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi – NYC) BRANDON ADAMS (Dreamcatcher – NYC) Once New Jersey’s best-kept secret, Brandon has quickly become a fixture in the New York psy scene and beyond. With a long history of appreciation for all forms of Goa and psytrance, he is easily one of the most versatile and dedicated DJs around. His groovy yet cerebral morning sets have stood up against some of the world’s best and have left a lasting imprint on dancefloors. KIFE (Omnitribe – NYC) A long time member of Omni Tribe and the Omni Dance Festival organization, DJ Kife has been behind the decks in New York City for the past six years. He brings to us his carefully orchestrated groovy psychedelic progressive set. FX Mike (Omnitribe – NYC) BABLA (Kagdilla records – NYC) Babla has been DJ’ing since 1989 (the old audio cassette days!!!) but it was only in 1998 that he realized his love for psychedelic trance music. It was at a party where he saw everybody dancing to one rhythm… Dancing for themselves… In the past 5 years, Babla has spun in Germany, New York, Goa, and Bombay. Amongst other large acts Babla has had the opportunity to play alongside great artists. His style is mainly melodic morning to full-on blasters… Plus more special artists and guests… Special chillout session at our chillout stage… AUDIBLE PHENOMENA PROVIDED BY: Paul Bell (www.pbellsound.com) HOLLUCINATORY ENVIRONMENT BY DAYA CAYUNG (MataJiwa Project, Indonesia/NY) UTA BEKAIA (Georgia) LaserMaxx TDC Production Everyone is welcome to expose their artistic abilities NATIVE ATTRACTIONS ARE: Nature in its basic beauty. Still in awe after this weekend, recovering. Before entering the shed, you are greeted by a magical tapestry(created by a magical person) which makes it clear you are about to enter paradise. Inside you find yourself in a psychedelic candyland of hyperspatial dimensions. The music on Friday night was great, especially enjoyed EgBot, Lauryn and Brandon. But the music on Saturday was out of this fucking world. First was greeted by the thrashy sounds of MuktiIsvara, very heavy music with very dark soundscapes and atmospheres, enjoyed it so much I was just about to have a heart attack, but then Jelly came on. The first few tracks I didn’t like so much but afterward, he started pumping one killer after another. His set provided the perfect dancing warmup for Wizack, who totally tore the place apart. I was expecting darker, but he played a very beautiful morning set, I thought I’d have to get my legs amputated afterward. Wizack was the highlight for me, his music really has its own feel to it, you can hear the uniqueness of his sound and the creativity involved in every beat of every track. Then another great DJ when on, I’m not sure of his DJ name, but most people referred to him as some dude from Canada, at first I doubted his ability to keep my mind and feet going, but boy was I wrong. Ultra-psychedelic zoinky-boinky, twisted lunatic morning music kept me going from start to finish. Afterward Ancient-Beach went on, I enjoyed the beginning of his set, but I unfortunately I was way too tired to keep going.
Despite the rain, everything seemed to have come together to make this an unforgettable transcendental experience. Thank you to Mukti, Isvara, Nik, MuteX, Chay, Uta, Grisha, Sahil, Casey, and anyone else I’m probably forgetting(and I’m sure there are plenty of people who’s creative helpful input I’m not aware of) for putting so much hard work and energy into making this festival as special as it has been. Can’t wait till next summer for the next one 😉 Wow, I had such a great time!
We arrived on Friday night and although it rained, there was a very welcoming feeling of coming back to this place. A nice surprise was to see a nicely decorated camping space, with a big kitchen and two fireplaces, set up by Grisha and Casey. That was a very good idea, since lots of people from around were coming to spend time there, which brought a good feeling of unity. I’ve spent Friday night sleeping and getting ready. Next day brought some good weather, and we took a small trip around the lake, which was really good. The funniest part was swinging on the see-saw, which I suggest to EVERYONE, especially when in a child-like state of mind .
The night brought more adventures. The deco was so good, I really liked the new works and the old ones were awesome to see again, too. The Jelly Head’s set accompanied me deeper into the world of fantasy, and by the moment the set ended I was truly convinced something magical was happening… What was happening after is beyond words here, but I was (and I still am) truly thankful to everything and everyone that made that night possible for me. The dance floor in the morning looked pretty empty, until the rain started and many people showed up under roof, and it was so good to see everyone dancing and having fun.
Well, I just want to thank everyone, and especially TDC for bringing some SKAZKA into our lives. Please do not get discouraged when not many people show up… I really hope to be there again.ok, I’ve finally caught my breath enough to write something…another wacky psychedelic weekend up at Echo Lake, so many memorable aspects, pictures nor words will really do justice…the musical highlight for me was obviously sat night/sun morning with jelly, wizack live (!!!), then the “dude from canada” hehehe (who also happened to make some cool shirts)…i was especially impressed with wizack’s versatility, bringing everybody into a zone sun morning with magnificent gliding basslines …huge respect to Daya for transforming the dance area into a truly ethereal psychedelic environment (behind the DJ was my favorite spot)…so good to be up in nature w/ friends again and that mother nature cooperated a little more this time (though there was still an element of deja vu)…big THANKS to the TDC family for all your work and hospitality, as well as to all participants this weekend
yo brandon, besides all great performers at Saturday thru the end and first night, I have to say that your set was super steady, warm, building up and lift the party “energicly” thru the whole fest. my first time to witness your mixing. bravo!!!
I am lucky not to miss almost anything on the first night. I had such a nice time at this event. It was good to get out into the woods again before summer starts to come to an end, Already! We got lost on our way to Echo Lake and the cops pulled us over and were really kind and helpful, really! I like the campgrounds, plenty of places to go hiking and it came in handy that the dancefloor was covered. The locals in the shop were pretty friendly…or sarcastic but overall very pleasant, the whole set up of the place made me feel like I was at a psychedelic sleep away camp, especially the “rec” room. The deco was very nice including some favorite pieces I’ve seen before. I guess I favored the Dj’s towards the morning and day which had my feet grooving and my cookies crunching in all of the right places. That swing set was fun too, me and my boyfriend played there for almost an hour, we forgot we were adults. What’s up with the boats though? I saw no rentals! The chill-out was cool, especially the big fire to warm cold, soggy bones, and blue fur and the progressive was garrroooooovvvvvyyyy! Relaxing during the day kinda stunk though because blasting your own music really stinks if people either want to listen to their own music, sleep or just hear some silence after 12-14 hours of music and dancing.
The second night was even better, even though I’m not too much into music played at night, WizTwiz’z set had me twitching delightfully, and come morning, Ancient Beach was the perfect end to a perfect weekend, that and food and sleep. Good to see you all, see you all indoors sometime.
Regarding the case of the missing Monno (that would be me then) I was not able to make it for this gig due to a very bad fuckup involving the airline canceling my first flight then due to check-in delays in the airport, I missed the connection they offered me as a replacement and so there I was with the only viable alternative they had given me a connection flight to London and from there on to the US. The only catch, and that´s a major one in my book, was that they could not guarantee me in any way that I would actually make the security checkups in Heathrow in time for my flight. I then opted to cancel my flight entirely only after making well sure that the organizers could get a full refund for my ticket since it was solely due to their fuckup that I didn´t make it there. hope to come soon and make up for it. keep on rockin´ – monno

It’s just too crazy to contemplate, I hope a lot of you do not go, so I can enjoy myself, since I discovered over years of abuse that without a lot of K, sweaty people are hard to bear (bare!) Pat of mindkiller.org web mindkiller.org/radio is particularly excited over Krumelur. I am so glad that these guys are doing not only big things but innovative things. That’s why you won’t see the DMT this summer. We were needed back in 2004-5, but not now – like in the 2002-3 Omnitribe daaaaaze thx Vitalik wherever you are in India and all the other guise, Dima, Shai. Mike, etc etc. In other news, Alex of Alphatrance is back in Australia. Also in the next 2 days, I will add a lot of vera/lev/kat/Amelia links to web tranceam.org web tranceam.org/. You can add, too. Hey – and if you have not added your personal photo to the trance gallery What are you waiting for? I can understand if you are running for president, but that’s about it. A “concerned” senior citizen or park worker on the beach notified the police when he saw the crew moving gear; “his” turf was in danger of being used by the uncouth. All ended well. The bust happened early enough that the news got to people before they traveled out to far Brooklyn, and a huge crowd made it to the loft to dance with a vengeance. The party didn’t end until the sun went back down.
The fact that the above post exists makes me smile. Thanks, everybody who came and danced, to Ron and the others for once again allowing the loft to be turned into a great little venue, to Jeff for the nootropics (which I ‘kept for later’ and remembered them after security at Logan; flushed them on the plane as 1. I thought they were more psychoactive than I just discovered they were, and I had to drive when I landed so I didn’t want to eat them there and then, and 2. I didn’t want to take unidentified caps through customs at Heathrow) and most of all to Lauryn, Theo and Scott for organizing the whole thing and getting me out there. It was a wicked party and I had a great time. So good to see some familiar faces from Organic Sunrise, too! Next time Theo, next time… – Colin

it was a nice RAVE, not until the police stop the party when Mukti and Lauryn start the real psychedelic music. to bad krumelur is not around Army Collective would like to thank everyone who helped out with this party especially Scott, Theo and the 28th Day crew. We could not have done this without you. Also, special thanks goes to Kuku “Balley, Balley hands in the air”, Yomy for the luscious fruit in the morning and Daizy for the psystep and all of the artists involved for creating a temporary autonomous zone at least until 5AM when the cops showed us that we could not make a PAZ(permanent autonomous zone). And of course all of you radical beautiful stompers who blessed us with your energy… I hope that you all enjoyed the twisted psychedelia that came from the mind of Jan Mueller. We will being Krumelur back hopefully after he finishes his Australian and Brazilian tours. By the way Fredrik. . .Your album is diesel! Thank you! That was a cool party. I did not expect so many people to show up. It was good to see all the familiar faces that came back from summer adventures as well as new ones. X-Dream’s music was interesting. Sometimes I kinda did not get it, but other times it just took me far far away and was incredible. Mukti and Lauryn’s set brought some more life and smiles to the floor. And then… Early closing was somewhat disappointing…stupid laws…I want back to the forests!!! just for the record, there was no official afterparty to COSM … some folks decided to go over to Shelter afterward, which typically stays open until Sunday afternoon and charges $20 admission. there was no affiliation expressed or implied between this and our party, however : )

It really warmed my heart to see all the “cool” club people shed their initial air of pretension and lose themselves in the psychedelic vibe. Truly beautiful to see that even they have that inside them. And of course, thank you for the wonderful music, friends. We are currently planning the next Cielo event on Sunday, November 5th, and another one on Sunday November 26th. Indeed, it was such a nice party!!! Not only did LUIS, Coral, & Lauren rock the floor, but everyone on the dance floor made the party. If you were there, you know what I mean. This party made me remember what a good party is all about. Having a great time with people, with positive energy & killah music!!! As Psycosmo said, by the end of the night, something had really warmed my heart…

Announcing TRANCEAM.ORG, new video enhancements and now Aya on the Daily Show.. For the ADD/ADHD generation, tranceamericana was just too freaking hard
to remember. Gratuitous yes, smart no. Tranceam.org is now the gateway to tranceam.org. All URLs are the same, just directs you to the site. It kinda fits in with the Smokey & the Bandit Transam car we wanna get. will be the official name for the site, and the one that is being printed, along with Mindkiller.org and Nootrition on thousands of million-dollar bills that will be distributed to the community. We now use Youtube’s full scripts so now you can watch all dV video on fullscreen, and added the Aya episode on the Daily Show. Also added many esoteric early proto trance tracks to the player. Soon, we’ll get the interview with Collin from Voice of COD up and more to come. And finally, most importantly, we have new staff at Nootrition and fulfillment time is back to the same day rather than the same couple of weeks.

Daniel Pinchbeck in this month’s Rolling Stone as the “New Psychedelic Guru.” web rollingstone/politics/story/11217201/danielpinchbeck And check out the hilarious portrait they made of him. He’s also in last week’s Newsweek. Daniel was a dungeon master when he was a kid so we see eye to eye on things. He shot K with me back in the Tribeca squat and was one of the reasons I stopped doing K. He told me that when I was in a K- hole demons were selling my organs on the astral plane, and after that, every time I got high I would start to see a crowd of demons around me, and the biggest most articulate one would wear n Armani suit and push them all away and say, where do you want to go today? the Big Bang? The edge of the known universe? I’ll take you there heh hehe heh. .. One of Daniel’s D&D buddies was Tony Torn, Rip’s son, also an actor and a pagan through and through. he and his lovely sister Angelica (who recently did a one-woman show on Sylvia Plath on Broadway and in London) directed a film recently partly at my house and lab and bldg with Furio from the Sopranos and Will Patten and others … and I got a bit part as Dr. H al a psycho doctor who uses brain machines to make people crazy but ends u p doing too much of his own stuff (filmed right after a tea ceremony where I DID drink to much and was still seeing fireflies everywhere), it’s called Lucky Days and will be out this fall, trust me, you’ll hear about it he relater. With Terence and Timothy and recently Timothy’s cousin my dear comrade in arms Wilson hanging himself, the terrain is clear for a new messiah to encapsulate our hopes. I say that only slightly facetiously we cannot all be crucified. Why let Jesus have all the fun?

Uriel – hank u to Vish for not paying me what we discuss for renting u the CDJs thank u for paying max earworm (which is one of the only artist in the party who have almost a full cd length of is own music) only $40 which is probably a lot for u. thank u for punching his brother when he comes to talk to u. thank u for bringing a shitty sound system that destroyed the real show from the artist (respect to all of them ) even though u said : SOUND : hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm….. JBL EONs all around.. I think kiLLeR… Quality sound assured!! thank u for not paying lio at all for his DJ set. and for all the shit that u talk about the other promoters and their personality specialy about Alladin project and TDC when u not even close to the quality of their production or respect or personality. ……………………………… before the first party u said u are a decent guy, honest, u probably forgot that when u said: “fuck u ” last night and u forgot that u got 2 CDs and a mixer for free at ur first party as help when u didn’t even pay for the cab to bring and take them and paid only $50 for my set and not $150 like we agree. and give me a hard time with my 2 friends when I got to the place and giving me only one free admission. and for walking away as soon as I got to the second party without even say hi. I want everybody to know about it its all true nothing but the true about who u really are when u not wearing ur masks hopefully nobody is going to delete my reply to warn other people before they will be in the same spot as me and others. and just for the record I was a part of ecliptic trance and we used to pay $150 – $200 for any local DJ that play for us when we spent much more money than u on the budget and we always paid even when we didn’t make anything as far as profit. that’s all for now we`ll c what u have to say wish uriel wowowowowowowowo, killer party with full good vibes and full power, thx u very much for all, Vish and Rachel, u r killer people and u made a really good party with ur heart. All the dancefloor was happy, smily and had rox the dancefloor with great pleasure. The quality of the sound in the main room was powerful and the deco was really killer, new, fresh and so organic, hehehehehe. Fria made one of the greatest set that I have heard in my life, powerful, organic, mystic !!!!!!She is really a killer DJ, making dance everyone in an ocean of positive and strong vibes I really enjoyed very much this party so thx again for Vish, Rachel, Fria, all the crew and everyone I meet during the party, and thx for all the freaky dancer on the dancefloor. Don’t miss next party of Metaforce, they know what it’s party so u can go with closed eyes cuz, u will enjoy for sure! A lot of love, peace, and full power. Mega ultra giga big powerfull booom boooommmmm!!!!! Hishiryo SUPER DUPER ULTIMATE KILLA PARTY WOW!!!! FRIA u are my GOD!!!! I love you!!! when can I marry you??? I worship u forever from now on full fucking power no-nonsense musik all night could not stop dancing 2 this musik completely flipped out and had the most amazing psychedelic spiritual trance experience I have had in a long long long timeee killllaaaaaaaaa place best indoor venue u can get fosho killa organization rachel thank you very much I respect everything your tribe is doing for the scene, only bringing forth positive energy big booom 2 u guyz for that only suggestion: sound was ok, could have been better, y not use some Mackies or genelec for even better qaulity so we can hear Frias amazing wav files in full fuckin range pretty phenomenal party in all respects…almost brought back memories of the Synthetic Sadhus or Omnitribe Lunatarium days…3rd ward was perfectly utilized…turnout exceeded expectations (both rooms were almost full at one point)…Severyn’s deco was truly magical…Hishiryo and Fria delivered some amazing music, and Earworm was on point based on the little I heard of his set…great job guys p.s. Ugradeva should consider using CDJs and headphones rather than just pressing play once on his laptop…lay off the mp3s as well 6362 Metaforce have raised the bar higher with this one. It’s time to take some notes: First of all 3rd Ward wins on so many levels. Spacious, clean and convenient, it allows for a breathable environment and comfortable atmosphere. Second, the new art from Severyn, always an original visual treat, unique to the NYC urban scene. Fresh designs illustrating his continuous progression into luminescent insanity strategically placed for best effect with attention to detail. It is my belief that he has mastered the static motion technique, which infuses his tapestries with vibrant energy unique to his style. Third, Frias set. Everyone played solid sets and respect is shown where it is due but I know we can all agree that Fria took it to the next level. It was as if the DJ stage became a giant magnet emanating raw sonic power, bringing the masses to their knees. We struggled to make sense of it all only to be swept away by the sound. After it was all over we were left shattered and bewildered, it was as if a robust package of bunker busters detonated on the dance floor. Thank you. Last but not least, the event organization was thought out and thought through. Vish and Rachel gave me what I’ve been missing for a long while, a really good party. Thank you guys! This event catered to the eccentric nature of seasoned NYC veterans as well as welcomed newcomers with a bang. I am looking toward the next one and my hopes are high! PS – the Bosnian nationalists have been neutralized by a freak set of accidents. Thank you all for such an amazing party. The space was spectacular, Hishiryo’s live set was just fantastic really, words cannot describe Keep it coming Shenzoo** Rachel and Vish..Dhanyavaad for such a long-awaited experience. And not to mention all the people at the party.. Its been so long since I’ve seen everyone just let their hair down and ROCK..with smiles Special thanks to the usual suspects Also all aspiring photographers at this event, please send me party photos. I didn’t get a chance to take any and I would love to see. – Fria nadia they will not reply cause there isn’t anything they can say, they fucked up big time, I don’t know if this is an anti-Israeli thing going on here or whatever but this is not psytrance spirit, and these are not psytrance people, they are fakes, posers, and its time to rid new york of their disgraceful presence. p.s since their first party, I knew they were up to no good, because of the bullshit they were talking about and the “uniting the tribe” bullshit, If u want to unite the new york psytrance family then let them dance all together on one dancefloor, don’t DIVIDE them in 2 rooms, you are contradicting yourselves by saying that, at a real psychedelic trance event the music ranges from minimal to progressive to dark and then to twilight full-on and then melodic all on ONE dancefloor, this way the tribe dances together and is not divided,& one more thing 6362 stands for MDMA. They fucked up and this is the bottom line…I heard from my friends that they call all the Israile people “FALAFEL TRANCERS” so don’t be so surprised Isralien604 …….. welcome to Goa they smile to your face and talk shit behind….. P.S. I hope not all people in India like this…. well more and more ppl talking about wut happen with Electro….. That very sad thing, and if you going to start calling names Meta soon you going to dance alone. Two different rooms is not a problem, plz give me a break, your choice where u dance. I said before that all bringing memories from TDC parties….It’s not true, you can easily check that, there weren’t any negative comments after TDC parties. Here what you got second party and such a thing…… Electro and his bro they are well known on this scene .they start a long time ago and a lot of ppl know them. Don’t take advantage of them, they helped you u agree for certain things now fullfil it.or better do it. And pliz no more anti-Israeli attitude,no names calling other way your uniting thing is pure bullshit. Last thing …. face punch, haven’t seen that if so I would sucker punch you, period At this moment ill stay home, we see how your next part will go. No luck wishing for next party here.sorry. This is very appalling. Just when I was so happy about such a nice party…WHAM!!! Firstly, this is not the place for such discussions, the people directly involved should discuss this amongst themselves in private. Really this Isra posting and bashing is just done in very bad taste….It just shows everyone the down side of the scene. I wake up, sitting with my coffee, going through isra posts about the party..and this is really not what I want to see. Secondly, why is everyone else so interested in this?? It has nothing to do with us, instead of fuelling this fire we should just leave it alone. It does not concern any of us. THIRD….this has nothing to do with Indians or Israelis and making it something of such sorts is just childish and elevates whatever problems might already exist. By turning this post into this court type of drama you all disrespect the people who put only positive energy into this party.. I do not know what happened and I do not want to know… I came to the party happy, and left happier and that’s what I wish we could concentrate on.. Instead it’s just turned into some sort of moral police Judge Judy type of show…if anyone has problems there is PM. Electro..whatever happened should be settled amongst yourselves please…more and more as I read these posts I realise how quick everyone is to forget the good time they had and how everyone just focuses on this issue..and I did not play a party for this. There will always be issues and negative occurrences but we should focus on the positive. And if anyone had a bad time then you have a choice, don’t go to the parties but please do so quietly…instead of involving and influencing all of us who are not involved. I’ve had some horrible experiences at parties due to organisors..but I do not go about posting it…I just don’t go to those parties anymore and yet..even though some organisers have put me off, if they seem to bring some artist I absolutely adore I still go…for the music and not for the benefit of the organisers. People should come to parties for the music and to enjoy and that’s all…there should be no sides. This is not our war Rachel – This is such a sad story… Where to begin? 6362MetaForce decided to throw parties in NYC because we wanted to make FUN PARTIES – where people dance all night until sunrise and forget the world beyond our community. We wanted to include artists that we love, as well as a second room for people who prefer lighter sounds, but who share great vibes with the party… For the most part, this is what happened on Friday night. People DANCED! They had a great experience. People on the dancefloor know what they felt there. But throughout this party – from before it, to during it, to after – the people writing their complaints here were extremely disrespectful to us, to the headliners, to everybody who worked so hard to set up this party. A lot of lies have been written here, and we did not respond because we don’t like to see people bring down the community in this way – and to respond to their lies only brings us down. But now it’s just disgusting garbage being aired – there is a second thread of completely disgusting comments! Why are you all subjecting the trance community to this stuff? Here is a brief explanation of the lies that the “Israelian” is spreading here: – These arguments about money are entirely unfounded. Max and Lior never discussed money with us. Last month we paid Max and Uriel out of respect – even when they INSISTED they did not require payment. This month, suddenly everything was different … and Uriel actually demanded payments from us to keep their mouths shut. It was shocking! At 8 am, Uriel shouted “JUST WAIT til you see what I write on Isratrance!” and VOiLA – here it is. He certainly keeps his word. – Noam spit on our mixer in the morning. It was disgusting, disrespectful – and YES – vish lost his temper completely. No one should disgrace or disrespect equipment in that manner. Vish regrets losing his temper, and has apologized for it to everyone present. But spitting on the tools of our art is just unacceptable – and certainly does not befit the “Israelian” who asserts himself as a defender of trance. We thank these guys for teaching us a valuable lesson. We wanted to include Earworm in our line-up because we actually believe he has talent. We learned that we cannot work with people who fundamentally do not understand the concept of respect. AS for us: we give FULL RESPECT to the history of ECLIPTIC TRANCE; but your past parties do not give you the right to treat people with dishonesty and disrespect. We put a lot of love and preparation and effort into our last party…as anyone who worked with us all day (NONE of whom was any of you – Noam, Max, Lior, or Uriel) or danced with us all night will know. You guys ran in and ran out – no help, no interest, just dropped off your players in the afternoon and shouted at us to give you cab fare before you left – while everyone else worked hard to set-up the party. FOR THE COMMUNITY reading all of this garbage: We assure you that our crew will put the same enormous effort into the next party that we put into this one. But if you’d rather not come, that is your choice. We hope you’ll judge 6362MetaForce for the experience we create for you, and by your own personal experiences with us; but we will never force you to come dance with us. Our party on 11/11/06 is only one option of several that same weekend, and everyone can choose where he or she wishes to add energy and love. As we’ve said so many times before: TRANCE is about RESPECT, ritual, love, and family… Without respect, there can be no love: it is fundamental to any positive experience. We want a happy experience for everyone. Go to the parties where you feel respected and where the vibe is good for you. My dear girl, Fria, aren’t you that Indian girl that just showed up NYC trance scene a year ago? If so – you know exactly who I am and what I am and if you have a minimum ability of logical thinking you would know at how many parties I could have been and I don’t mean only in NY, but it’s not the point right now. Also it’s not important that you’re trying to be a wise-ass and tell us what makes a good party. It’s like we are blind kittens and need a guideless. No thanks. I have nothing personal with Metaforce. They are also newcomers like you and I don’t know them, except those times when I see them at the parties lately. I’ve been in NY trance scene for a long time and I love this community. That’s my family. I love each and every face that I see at our parties. We are united and we all help each other, that’s how it should be. We all are in for the same reason here Love of Trance music, it’s philosophy and values. It’s always great to see new people joining our trance family and growing bigger. But when a newcomer comes with it’s own rules and starts spreading violence no one will support this action. There are so many people that are shocked by what happened at this last party, they tell me terrible things on MSN and on my pm, but for some reason, they choose not to speak up. Well, I have a different position to unfair and violence. No matter who it is, even if it’s my own brother, I will not accept it and will say what I think about it! For me to have a good experience at the party is not only what music I’m dancing to there, but it’s the whole more than this. If base of a party is rotten, I will have a bitter taste, no matter how perfect everything else around is. If evil makes an illusion of kindness, is it kind to you? No one can come to us just to squeeze our money out of us. Either join us and become one of us, or take your violent actions and go somewhere else. Fake is fake and it won’t last long! From what I see, only people who defend Rachel and Vish – are their personal friends, most of them Indian kids. No one from NY trance community is on their side. How can anyone support disrespect, humiliation and beating up people? And again – I have no personal issues with Rachel and Vish, or anyone else in this matter. I’m against violence and disrespect no matter who spreads it! I still hope it was a misunderstanding and we all work things out and will be one big happy family again Natia. p.s. Fria, I guess using and hurting people is nothing new to you, and you know what I mean. Fria, girl, I really like you and feel bad for writing these words, but I felt like it had to be said. Nothing personal. You have nothing to do with this whole situation anyway. Natia, just cause I have been in NY trance scene only a year doesn’t mean anything. Please, you say some absolutely ridiculous stuff. I’ve partied enough and am not going to sit here and give you dates and events I’ve been to. Yes, I lay low in NY the past 5 years because I thought Trance parties here sucked. They were parties advertised as Trance but had no Trance music…so if those are all the parties you went to …really I have nothing to say to you…. That has nothing to do with it. You obviously are one of those commercial party-goers and again that’s not the point. I am not defending Rachel or Vish, I AM DEFENDING THE PARTY…..read and think before jumping onto the dumbass reply bandwagon…. Now if you want to get into some bitch fight with me lets take it outside Natia…don’t post slight and soft “Using and hurting people is nothing new to you, but don’t take it personally” kind of crap. I DO TAKE STUFF LIKE THAT PERSONALLY… And you know what…calling me “The INDIAN girl” is done in bad taste. Really you sound as though you have no upbringing and no education. I’m not being a wise-ass by telling you what makes a good party. If you had any intelligence you would understand that thats a matter of personal taste. But since you’ve had no problems with displaying your own ignorance and complete misunderstanding of this story..let me remind you..when Trick said he had a great time YOU were the one who put him down by saying YOU FELT SORRY THAT HE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME IN NY. That’s just rude, mean and bitchy sistaaa!!! You didn’t attend this party and have no reason to run down someone who enjoyed it…I have nothing more to say to NAtia….you had no reason to start this crap, but pick your battles. The INDIAN GIRL ain’t going to take your shit lying down baby. And don’t talk to me about rules, and newcomers…that seems like the problem..you guys cannot stand that someone came into the scene and made a good party. Well lick your wounds in silence then. You unhappy woman, if you cannot stand to see other people enjoy I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU. Natia says: “Either join us and become one of us, or take …….” The Indian Girl says: “You sound like The Fluffy Trance Traitor hehhehehe

GAIAN MIND PHILLY Philadelphia’s Premier Psy-Trance Party! Special Guest: FACEHEAD (Geomagnetic.tv – Lancaster) Live! Chuck Looper (AKA FaceHead), is one of those “saved by psytrance” stories. Shortly after breaking free from a tarnished past a friend took him to his first psychedelic event in 2002. It changed his life. Since 1998 Chuck had been DJing and producing his own blend of noisy experimental electronic music. After that first party, he went home and immediately started working on his first psytrance track. Since then its been an obsession. Constantly searching for the most unique and bizarre sounds. FaceHead brings a style all his own that will leave you stomping away with question marks over your heads. You can expect dark and full-on with a wide variety of influences. Look for upcoming releases on Geomagnetic.tv. www.myspace.com/facehead www.geomagnetic.tv/artists/USA/Facehead.htm Plus DJ: PSYCHOTTY (Camp David – Philadelphia) Downtempo Lounge with: KILOWATTS (Philadelphia) PEDRO (Reality Engine/Interchill Records – NYC) Deco: GAIAN MIND Friday, October 13th, 2006 9pm – 2am $7 cover ($5 before 11pm) 21+ w/ ID Ulana’s Bainbridge Street & Second Street, Philadelphia, PA, USA (one block south of South Street)

Burning Lotus review & Daniel Pinchbeck First off, the event was amazing. Hats off to all involved. The clearest sky I’ve seen in years, the colors of all the stars in the constellations I know so well. The video guy Peter Parker pulled something I’ve never seen before, a huge pixel projector throwing fractals on a forest. No one could get it on film, but I have to tell you it was the most incredible thing I’ve seen in memory. There were so many great things that happened, so many details, yet so intimate. Thanks to Jeff Ecofunkological, Jeff (Rebecca’s friend from Hoffman’s bday), Kamal and everyone else involved. Thanks Steve for the Homeland emergency kits, Joann for the great food, Jerry & Debby for the beers, all the goody bags, Dave for the nitrous, all the love, and everyone else who gave so much.. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! Daniel Pinchbeck had a great talk afterward…

Tea Ceremony Saturday 6pm- Midnight

The current blend of caapi and mimosa has been extensively tested and gets a universal thumbs up. The ceremony will be conducted in a straightforward manner by myself at my house in Brooklyn. For those of you have haven’t seen it recently, it’s much more amenable to being in, and the ceremony we had last weekend inspired me to conduct another. I personally find that I feel the positive effects for about a month afterward, so that is the frequency that I am going to aspire to.1 There are many “small” things,” i.e. posture, gestures, sage, sitting arrangement, and other guidelines, that add up to form a wonderful foundation from which to conduct your voyage. Any music will be either Peruvian Icaros, nature sounds, or chanting, bells or tones. You will not be able to eat anything 24 hours prior to ingesting. You could fwd this to a trusted friend, but I will have to speak with them at length to ensure that we are on the same page. The admission is $50 via credit or debit, prepay only accepted. No cash or walk-ins will be accepted. To purchase a ticket, simply click this link.

COSM – Deities & Demons Masquerade

My favorite psy band Psylab this Sat Oct 28 Deities & Demons Masquerade 2 Saturday, Oct. 28th 8pm-5am, $20 Come dressed up as your favorite deity or demon 8-10pm in CoSM A special screening o f Frankenstein (1931) & discussion of The Monster and The Soul with Alex Grey 10pm – 5am in CoSMosis Entheocentric Salon Live Painting Alex Grey, Al lyson Grey Sharon Fulcher Live Body Painting Zachariah Gregory Midnight Performance Pyrotechnic Dance Theatre KARMAGEDDON LIVE EDM BAND Psy Lab The roots of Psylab date back to 2000, when Asaro and bassist Giglio began making organic trance & funky house music, under the highly unpronounceable and esoteric name “Nikulydin”. It wasn’t until Asaro made the electronic plunge in 2002 that Nikulydin began to take shape as a fully electronic live effort. While Nikulydin sought to find its own experimental sound and identity, Psylab’s mission was to create a sound based on pre-established formulas for the various genres of EDM, namely: trance (psy, progressive, Goa, tribal) techno (minimal, ambient, Detroit style) drum’n’bass (jungle, liquid, atmospheric) breaks (2-step, UK garage, dubstep) house (acid, deep, tech, hard) Psylab ultimately created their own live interpretations of these genres, the obvious difference being the live band feel created within the confines of these specified styles. Psylab also aims to popularize the obscure EDM sub-genre known as ‘Trance-step’. DJs: Dub Gabriel (NYC) Dub Gabrie l has become one of the top DJ/Producers in America that combines music from Africa, Middle East, India, Jamaica, Eastern Europe and South America into a blend all of his own. Pedro (Reality Engine, Interchill, CoSM) Originally from Brazil, now based in NYC, Pedro plays and produces freestyle tribal grooves. From dub beats into deep midtempo trance, breaks, and house, he fuses influences from many tribal cultures and genres to build an uplifting sonorous experience. Audio-Visual Installations by: Missy Galore feed buck galore Optical Delusion In CoSM: Live PA: KiloWatts – Philadelphia (Artificial Music Machine / KiloWattsMusic) Recently completing his 4th album, “Routes”, among numerous singles and remixes, James Watts continues to create dynamic and unpredictable moods with his music. He’s generally known for his complex rhythmic audio editing, sliced and diced to all hell, married to wistful melodic structure and vaporous soundscapes. His live sets are a combination of intricate programmed beats and sojourns into improvised experimental grooveology, often evolving into thick layered violet walls of sound. Dj: Mikio (Freek Factory) Performance: Serpentessa 21st Century Snake Priestess
Thanks a lot to all that made for the evening lots of fun watching all dressed up and enjoying themselves definitely the highlights of the night for me were psylab and kilowatts, great music!!! the performances at the chapel were beautiful, first the great bellidancers and then serpentessa, really loved it.

“Tales from the Tripside” now online – funniest psychedelic video ever web
You’re through a fast stream. &nb s bs about everything and everyone, from PIKHAL to Rick Doblin of MAPS to psytrance. James Kent at Tripzine was kind enough to send me 2 copies over the years; he and Scotto may put this on youtube at some point, but until then here it is.. Now it can be seen far and wide. The DVD is split up into 4 quick streaming flash video files. I decided against splitting up the video into scenes as I don’t have time and the tech is daunting. If anyone would like a DVD email me offlist. Oh and if you don’t get all the jokes, you’ve definitely had too much 2CT Special G!

Vote all your favorite psytrance DJs, etc in the Tranceformer Awards!! It’s taken a year to get this off the ground, here we go! Please forward to any and all friends, people, lists, and forums. Note that there are International, Canada, and Mexico categories in addition to U.S. ones. The voting deadline is coming very soon – November 6. Also, I added a lot of Archetypes for each region, but not all. I didn’t want to be too mean and out any Cokeheads, Jaded DJs, etc but it’s kind of funny that finally there could be a Best Freaker of the Midwest, Best Crazy Man of the West Coast, etc. Oh, and we will refuse any votes for Tiesto.
Results are in for the Tranceformer Awards Thanks to all who voted!

Mad Elephant – Progressive Party at Sapphire Lounge

Mad Elephant starts weekly PROGRESSIVE party “Progressive Wednesday” @Sapphire Lounge on Nov.8th 2006. This party will be held every Wednesday. We threw several psytrance parties at a bar called The Grand Press in Brooklyn last year (Some of you may remember). We are all unknown DJs from Japan but confident about the quality of selection. Absolute NO CHEESE. This is an admission-free party so if you have nothing to do on Wednesday night, come stop by and have some drinks with pure progressive sounds. Also we always look for DJ, VJ and, Decorator, so if you are interested in us, feel free to send me a message. The sound genre will be minimal ~ Prog. house ~ Prog. trance DJs: Tsutomu (Mad Elephant/NYC/JP) So (Mad Elephant/NYC/JP) Shun (Mad Elephant/NYC/JP) Time: 10:00pm~4:00am Admission: FREE Venue Address: “Sapphire Lounge” 249 Eldridge Street, between Houston and Stanton New York, NY. Direction: By Subway — F, V to 2nd Ave.
I liked the venue. Big enough, cozy and plenty of parking. I think the sound system is missing some bass.

Hi guys, In addition to the current electro room line up we are happy to host GAVIN Digital Structures/Spectra – Sweden/NYC
It was such a nice and nostalgic party. So many familiar faces, so many people from the past, the ones that stopped coming to the parties for a while. Music was nice, for all kinds of tastes. Shiva Chandra was just like expected – sexy and groovy. His progressive sound made me feel like I was dancing on the beach, somewhere far away in an exotic country. Zion was uplifting, exciting and refreshing. His tuned made my body move like crazy around the dance floor. Who was this first DJ? He played around 2 to 4. He was also very nice. Thanks Alladin guys for an exciting party

I’ve been hearing nasty little rumors of some cowards who plan to disrupt this party by involving the MAN…. All I have to say is it’s FUCKED UP! All this bullshit talk about family, what about the hundreds of innocent people who go for a good time to see pondscum and aren’t involved in other’s stupid bullshit(and possibly aren’t even aware of it)- they are the ones who keep psytrance alive! So just because some people can’t handle their issues like real men they have to involve everyone and put everyone’s safety at risk. Metaforce wouldn’t even get in that much trouble if something happens….I’m not a friend of metaforce- infact I don’t even know them or care to know all of this bullshit. If you think you are a real man, face them from the front. All of this over people getting involved in others drama! What the fuck is wrong with you- now you’re trying to involve everyone who goes to a party…. Its the most fucked up/narrow-minded BULLSHIT I’VE HEARD. All these fucking ignorant assholes talk all this shit about family, energy, and enlightenment….. Maybe you need to open your eyes and realize this is against your family, and its negative energy and will affect you too and is the opposite of everything you’ve been talking don’t think you’re going to be invisible if the party gets in trouble Do you want that name for yourself and friends(or “family”) forever? I’ve been wanting to see Pondscum for a long fucking time now, I don’t care who is bringing them to the USA- at least someone finally has. So please don’t involve us innocent ones who aren’t apart of your drama/chaos in your revenge scheme- its unfair to a lot of people Do you really need the MAN to be involved? What satisfaction is that? Aren’t they the real enemy here in the bigger picture or are you apart of their conspiracy? If you need to settle your issues, you know who they are and where to find them…
Oh, give me a break. Is some narrow-minded dude’s head on fire, or what? If someone would even pop the idea of hooking up the MAN with the party, a party which has a venue with all licenses sorted by the way, I’m happy to send my best Swedish gray, rainy, and cold wishes to this person with passion – because – whatever you pixies are up to, you can’t spoil a party like this one, thrown by warm people for warm people.. The good vibes around here are just too strong, face it.. All the best to the people who is involved in this event and revolves around it.
So many nasty little rumors going around, I wonder where they come from. I heard another quite a nasty one. A party that was held at 3rd Ward Brooklyn this Halloween was actually visited by the “MAN” and got shut down around 3 am. Questions are Is this also explained by “Global Narrow-Minded-Coward Conspiracy Theory”? And how does that fit with the Intel coming from our friendly colleagues from Militära Underrättelse regarding the legitimacy of the venue?
Perseus, please stop trying to scare people. You have already contacted so many people by telephone and email/MSN with your warnings that you intend to call “the MAN” yourself – whom do you think you’re fooling here? This is nothing more than you taking out your personal dislike of Rachel and Vish on the entire trance community – which is tiny and in need of support, not negativity… As for your new rumor about the Danger party at 3rd Ward being shut down last week: yes, it was shut down by the fire dept. It happened at 12:30am, not 3am – we were there, you weren’t. It happened because the Danger folks allowed more than 2500 people to come into the space. There is no other reason – and we spoke to the fire deparment and police officers about it ourselves, along with the owners of 3rd Ward. *** 3rd Ward has all its licenses and excellent relations with the authorities in the area. For anyone who is concerned, please feel free to call 3rd Ward and ask about this. The number is 718 715 4961. *** Perseus – please don’t punish people for wanting to have a good time. You and your multiple screen names are well known to all. Please remember this – whatever you feel about Vish and me, you are hurting everyone. ** Pondscum is a great producer and amazing guy, and it’s highly unlikely that he will come back to North America anytime soon. The ticket from Australia is not something many promoters are willing to buy (as Perseus knows better than anyone). ** This party also marks Glowing Dragon’s first gig in NYC, and he’s a killer guy and great stage presence who deserves a good reception from us. ** And – Omnitribe and Gaian Mind….!!!! These guys are the most helpful and chilled out in the East Coast scene! They’ve helped every promoter throw a good party in NYC. Punishing them for playing our party – just because it’s Vish and Rachel at the helm – is a terrible thing to do. ** Finally, but most importantly::: the people who just want to DANCE. Is it so wrong that people just want to party, and don’t really care why Perseus hates Vish and Rachel so much? Is THAT what you’re punishing them for, Perseus – their disinterest in your politics? Please, guys…. I hope this thread doesn’t take another turn toward negativity and the extreme rudeness that the past two 6362MetaForce-related threads have done. We hesitated to speak up, because we know that Perseus is hoping that we will; and he is assuming that everyone will again jump on this negative bandwagon. But it was necessary for us to address Perseus’s manipulation clearly before it went too far again. Our apologies – on behalf not only of Rachel and Vish but from all of the 6362MetaForce family – our sincere apologies to all of you reading this with your morning coffee. Our intent is only to put your fears at rest. We hope the community won’t be scared away by Perseus’ threats. Pondscum is in LA now, and the Mindfull family is getting ready for a beautiful desert party in the Mojave on Saturday night. It will surely be a banging event, full of dancing, family vibes and pure joy. 6362MetaForce will create the same joyful atmosphere next Saturday at 3rd Ward – which is probably the best venue that exists for trance in this city. We are lucky to have it, and we’re grateful!! We hope that everyone who wants to join us – everyone who wants to dance, party, and celebrate – will do so in joy, not fear. BOOM
what a sick party! I can’t stop thinking about it. David and luke, it was great chilling with you guys during the day till the blue moon came out and it was party time. Glowing Dragon caught them from the start! sick powerful set, built up crazy Pondscum seriously had one of the cleanest and crispest sounding sets I’ve heard! intense dark atmospheres, ridiculous thumping kicks and basslines. the whole floor was dancing man, it was awesome Vishwaatmaaa was a slaughterhouse! monster dark psytrance in the morning, I couldn’t help but smile from eat to ear. regardless to being physically exhausted from the last dark adventures, I had so many jolts of energy during this last set, I don’t know where it came from love and light to the new york psy fam, familiar faces and new ones, see you all at the next psy party… probably at the next dark party ^_^
welll we are slowly starting to recover here at the 6362MetaForce home base…. so it’s time to thank everyone for so much fun and love and energy on the dancefloor Saturday night!!! tachyon – how can you have just started DJ’ing??!!! what a banger of an opening set….accompanied by that great smile…..! followed by Glowing DRAGON…. and now we know where he gets that name from… clean and driving, pure and powerful, perfect before the deep funky grooves of Pondscum – who kept the floor moving til 4am with all that meatydeepgoodswamp stuff…. Luke, we love you!!!!!! having you here with us was something really really special…. MetaForce devotees can’t help but bang out the greeks in the morning, so that’s what vishwaatmaaa did – and for sure it was a shock out of the depths of the scum but everyone’s smiles seemed to say YAYYYY! and who can forget two technical BOOOMS from the boys? heheheeeee somehow they felt like nice shockers to remind us how challenging was this party to put together but how FANTASTIC it was to be part of! Omnitribe, Gaian Mind:::: thank you for a beautiful chill room and your great vibes… uta and chay – as always, nothing to say except … GLORIOUS…. and for the family and friends on the dancefloor – thanxx for making Vova’s and Vish’s birthday into something for the MetaForce history books!!!!!! We’ll try to get some photos up soon…. …. and now we start preparing the NEXT CHAPTER……..!!!!!! big BoM to all ……!
Killer Party! So many great people, such wonderful music everybody ripped it! Special Thanx to MetaForce for keeping the music alive and for their great hospitality! I had such a blast from the moment I arrived to the second I left. Dragon And Luke, what great music and Guys! Thanks to Vova too for a great after-party!
What an amazing weekend of bliss !! Where do I even begin to start the “thank you’s” !? First, Vish and Rachael are two of the most professional, fun, kindest, hospitable people I’ve ever met… From the moment I arrived till the moment I left, I was completely taken care of, just like family! The City was fantastic, the weather was perfect, and the Party was UNREAL! The deco of Chai (sp) was phenomenal !! The dance space was very comfortable and spacious … Tachyon opened up the “whoop-ass” right off the batt.. great tracks and programing of the darker side of psy … I did my thing and then our Favorite Aussie, PONDSCUM decided to melt our brains with his ultra-tasty, bass-heavy, groove-injected tracks for 2 hours !! Fantastic Productions !! Super atmospheric, deep and driving ! … ( wow …. ) and out of no-where, Vish delivers a mind-warping assault of Neuro Power tracks that pushed straight to six a.m. …. ( I don’t think anyone wanted to leave hahaha ) Fantastic set Vish! great programming and mixing ~ damn good Party! 6362 Metaforce has me hooked! haha.. I will gladly play party or work with you guys anytime !!! Thank you sooo much for having me up and introducing me to all the wonderful people in New York! ( Not to mention the big heart of our favorite Russian !! .. He was sooo good to Luke and I ! ) Much love to you guys and thanks for all the hard work to make this happen !!! Cheers !! dragon

November 30 Thursday
29th Day Progressive at Shelter
Just a that tonight is the opening night of 28thday’s new progressive weekly at Shelter! For this special event we’re bringing back D-Space, whose live set rocked the lawn this past summer at Prog in the Park, as we ll as PsyBooty night at Dreamcatcher’s sorely-missed Psycheground weekly. Weekly events provide a unique opportunity for the community to connect on a regular basis, outside the unsanity of weekend parties. We now have an opportunity to move into one of the city’s best venues… two floors, 18 and up, full bar for 21+, and Twilo’s legendary Phazon sound system! Weeklies support the trance family and in turn need your support, so come drink, dance, and get down with your friends! Shelter is now located at 150 Varick S t in Manhattan. Plenty of street parking usually available, right next to the Holland Tunnel, and easily accessible by subway. Opening night is Thurs day November 30, featuring: Upstairs on the main floor: D-SPACE – LIVE SET Records | D-Space Studios, New England) Listen to an exclusive 20-minute preview of D-Space live: web 28thday/choons/dspace/28thDayLiveDemo.mp 3 ANTHONY VELARDE (web anthonyvelarde | Acute Recordings, NYC) TONY UNORTHODOX (28thday, NYC) Listen to Tony’s ever-popular Summer Mix: web 28thday/choons/tony/summer06/tonyunorthodox-summer06.mp3 Downstairs chillout: BEN (light-o-matic, NYC) CORAL (TOUCH Samadhi, NYC) PEDRO (Reality Engine | Interchill Records, NYC) Shelter 150 Varick St, NYC 10 PM – 4AM 18+ $5.00
Pedro, this is not the original location, it moved as of late down to Varick Street – nor will this party have the Shelter crowd, which is, AFAIK, late Sat into Sun Mornings
Should still thump in either case if it has Twilos Phazon sound. Those subs kill kick and roll bass through your entire skeletal system until your teeth chatter. Loose ones have the potential to fall out from these deeb sub frequencies so beware.

Jeez where was everyone??? The music was sooo good, I had to leave early because of work, but I was really disappointed that I didn’t see more people coming out. How often do you get to hear Knob play for 5$???
NYC is currently hosting three psytrance weeklies on three consecutive days. As awesome as that may be, the community is simply not large to support all of them…
Sadly, thats true…even more with the first week of real cold hitting the city…let’s see how many are left ….

He has been instrumental in the production, promotion, and distribution of hit albums by Son Kite, Ticon, Vibrasphere, and Jaia, all the while playing breathtaking DJ sets around the world. Tonight, we welcome Gavin back for his short stay in New York – one of his original stomping grounds – for two more hours of his smooth sailing prog on Shelter’s banging, crystal-clear Phazon sound system!

Boogaloo 28thday regrets that last week’s Random Redux party was forced to close an hour early… our music was just a little too banging for that environment, and the restaurant owners a little too paranoid. : ) We wanna make it up to y’all, so this Saturday we’re serving up an all-night full-on burner at Boogaloo! And, of course, tonight is week 2 of our Thursday prog weekly at Shelter. Don’t miss one of your last chances to hear Gavin while he’s still stateside!

Philadelphia’s Premier Psy-Trance Party! Special Guest DJ: EQUISOL (D-Space Studios/PsyBooty Records – FL) Equisol a.k.a. Steven Fava was born into a family of creative musicians. His natural talent started in his early years with a focus on rock and folk music while being a member of a number of different bands. As the son of a drummer, he relies heavily on percussion instruments to create a sexy, tribal beat in his electronic works. His continual exposure has given him insight, as to how music can affect the spirit and life of the listener. Steven’s production career began during a fortunate encounter with another talented musician, known to his friends as J (Indigom/ Alpha Channel/M-Field). The two quickly realized that they had a great deal in common and had a wealth of musical and technical knowledge to share between them. Thus, began the collaborative project known as D-Space (Soular Records). In 2003, Steven moved to Florida and began his solo project as Equisol (currently published with PsyBooty Records). With a firm grasp of the D-Space vision, he created his own individual style. Equisol focuses on a progressive approach while retaining psychedelic elements in his music. He fuses simple, funky rhythms and groovy beats to send the mind on a spiritual journey and the body into a booty-shaking cruise control. A recent development has D-Space producing a killer new album. Equisol and Indigom have joined forces again and have rocked a number of parties in the North East with their improved sound, and focused new tracks. This project is now available for booking, either together or as solo acts. Equisol will be concentrating on touring in the near future, after spending some time, in the studio, perfecting the D-Space material. Excitedly anticipate, Steven’s stellar performance, in whatever part of the universe, you consider home. www.d-spacestudios.com www.psybooty.com Plus Guest DJ: SOLOMOON (Metameme – Denver) Solomoon discovered a much larger world in 1993 when a greater level of awareness was revealed to him in a global movement called Goa-trance. He immediately knew this music was a timeless language that transcended not only musical genres, but also cultures and the delicate timeline of humanity. Spinning since 1994, he was born from Unity Tribe and was a co-founder of the psy-collective Esoteric Gen in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He later helped found Metameme and Onetribe Productions in Denver Colorado. From NYC, to Burning Man, to California, and even NYE 2005/2006 in Cape Town, South Africa he has enjoyed sharing this ancient language of dance with nomads from around the globe. Combining intelligent melodies with primal rhythms, he uses this artistic medium of sound as a path of transcendentalism. www.metameme.org Downtempo Lounge with: TBA TBA Deco: GAIAN MIND Friday, December 8th, 2006 9pm – 2am $7 cover ($5 before 11pm) 21+ w/ ID Ulana’s Bainbridge Street & Second Street, Philadelphia, PA, USA (one block south of South Street)

CHRISTER (Shiva Space Technology | Mechanik Records, Norway) Christer is a label DJ for two important labels: Shiva Space Technology and Mechanik Records. He’s also one of those old-style DJs, the rare kind that tries to tell a story from behind the mixer instead of just playing the latest unreleaseds. His first true epiphany came in the shape and form of the album “Return to the Source – The Chakra Journey”, which drove his interest for music even further down the electronic spiral highway. Since then Christer has provided the audience with a wide and exciting range of psychedelic trance, with one main intention: to make people dance. As Christer exclaims, “Psychedelic music is pure energy and raw spirituality – I play it because I love it, unconditionally.” EGNOGRA (Shaman Films, SF) Owner of label Shaman Films Records, Guillermo Alarcon (aka Egnogra) is helping to redefine ritual for the 21st century. Creating a medium of audio-visual alchemy and underground music t o expand the mind to higher states of consciousness, Egnogra will be delivering both a DJ and VJ set tonight at Boogaloo. LAURYN (28thday | Peak Records, NYC) … and another special out-of-town surprise guest, closing the party with some beautiful morning tunes! Video of our main man Daniel Pinckbeck last night on the Colbert Report

Daniel hung out at my 2001 squat on Duane Street and has been to DMT bridge parties (Breath in 2004 and Beltainne in 2001) and we have many mutual friends. He helped me get off K (it’s been almost a year!) and introduced me to Rip Torn’s daughter Angelica who made a film Lucky Days at my house with me in it that will debut soon here more details forthcoming. Funny to remember I cautioned Pinchbeck against going to Burning Lotus because I didn’t think it would go off well. Haha. I heard he went to Gaian Mind – anybody have footage of that for the collection? And to name drop even further, the ex-head of Comedy Central is a great guy who I’ve met and is friends with the girl who got me my apt. and went to the original Synthetic Sadus at Marc Ballroom. There’s also footage of him speaking at Burning Lotus this summer

Reality shall be suspended! Joining ONNOMON will be Videolicious. -DJs: SOLOMOON (Metameme – Denver, Colorado) Solomoon discovered a much larger world in 1993 when a greater level of awareness was revealed to him in a global movement called Goa-trance. He immediately knew this music was a timeless language that transcended not only musical genres but also cultures and the delicate timeline of humanity. Spinning since 1994, he was born from Unity Tribe and was a co-founder of the psy-collective Esoteric Gen in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He later helped found Metameme and Onetribe Productions in Denver, Colorado. Eg~Bot & Mescalinium (Gaian Mind, PSI – Philadelphia) From the rural backwoods of New Jersey to the scorching desert of Black Rock City Nevada, these two renowned deck wizards have crisscrossed the country bringing the finest in progressive and full-on psychedelic trance. On their own or as a duo, they have enchanted crowds with their wide-ranging versatility, seamless mixing technique, and hard-hitting style. Smooth yet crunchy, raw yet refined, psychedelics and immensely satisfying. Deet (Gaian Mind, Philadelphia) An endogenous part of every enthusiast, a molecular psychodrama of cause and AFFECT. A grand-scale EFFECT. Deet: the great synchronicity singularity, provoking evolution, love, and ascension. Deet’s chill-out sets are pure information, knowledge, and portals of transformation. He has been producing original music since 1994 with a style that is raw and psychedelic; funky, heady, and steeped with intent. On this night at COSM, Deet will drench your ears with a DJ set, revealing magnetic bonding, opening you to Spectral viewing, and enticing you to navigate your own evolution… Andrew Light (Gaian Mind, Philadelphia) A longtime promoter and resident of Gaian Mind, Andrew prefers his chill-out not too chill. Groovy, smoky sounds, usually infused with large doses of world music influences and dub are what you can expect from his DJ sets. Just got home and all I can say is WOW. Dan and Dean, your live is freakin off the hook!!! I loved what you did at Gaian Mind, but this was even better! Definitely one of the best lives I’ve heard in a while. Mescalanium and EGbot was, as always a pleasure.. Between them and Onnomon my mind got sent straight into another dimension… thanks to all that were part of this gathering! top quality music by Solomoon (great build-up! really happy we connected while you were in the east), amazing live by Onnomon!!! I cant wait for the new cd! pat & dave took it higher and higher to end the night in a full powa mode! thanks to all the chill DJs that kept the chapel peaceful and inspiring… thanks to all the friends that came and shared such a good energy throughout the evening! I do agree the body suspension was too intense, not my cup of tea… namaste to all that made this such a memorable party!!
ya I expected the suspension to be a bit less aggressive ya know? not so much flailing and yelling. pretty crazy stuff though. but everything else was very nice.
Really enjoyed Solomoon’s set…we are really lucky to have this guy visiting the east coast Onnomon live gets better and better every time I hear…got there early enough to catch Pedro’s set, some really nice downtempo grooves…and of course Egbot & Mescalinium with superb track selection and mixing! Musically it was a great night!

For me, the best live this year. Animal Tek did a really good job as well. unfortunately, the place shut down at 7, but it was a great×100 party. Thanks Omnitribe!!!

scott at 28thdayAlladin NYE presales final extension !! The 28thday sound system is alive and kicking at 83 Worth! The Alladin cre w has been working hard all week to transform this beautiful venue into an even more magical place for our New Year’s revelry, and tonight a wide cros s-section of the NYC crews including Alladin, psyNY, and 28thday bega n the finishing touches. We are in for a treat! As a final act of amnesty to all indecisive trancers, presale tickets have been extended to *2PM* Sun day. Hundreds have already been sold to those who will have an extra $15 I n their pockets for other necessities, and we invite you to be one of them! web tranceam.org web 28thday web alladinproject. net
Hats off to Alladin project as the hardest-working psytrance crew in NYC all year round! on this party, however, I will go against the flow here to say I am quite disappointed with the lineup. A couple of DJs from Sweden and the rest just local dudes!? Severin’s awful, recycled posters. Second floor of a mediocre club? AND for the same price as Goa Gil last year? Doesn’t exactly make for a special New Year’s atmosphere… Does anyone share my opinion? May I suggest you stop recommending migration(the strange red flag is Albania) based on opinions (keyword here) you hear on an online forum? Given that he was only stating his opinion and looking for like-minded support, the only people bothering anyone is you guys picking on entheo. I personally think Logic Bomb and especially S-Range are pretty lame too. I really love Severyn’s art though, and I’m surprised to hear anyone say this. I guess his artwork gets boring after a while since its hanging up at most parties for a while now(NYC Deco-Artists, where art though?), but to call it “awful, recycled, posters” is a slap in a face to a person who has dedicated so much time and energy to improve and enrichen our psychedelic experiences. I was totally disappointed by this lineup as well, which is why I’m not going(although the open-bar seems enticing) but I wish a happy new year and the best party spirits to everyone that does. Thanks, Liquid-Vision. The point of my comment was not to “trash” or disparage anyone, but to provide constructive criticism. I am just a bit disappointed with the level of frankness of the discussion on this board. Alladin Project throws over a dozen parties each year and not all of them turn out that successful–simply because they can’t, every promoter has his hits or misses. Yet you go to the discussion board and every single party is a “kick-ass” and a “blast”. I would like to see more people not be afraid to express an alternative opinion. I don’t believe hearing a chorus of always uncritical, easy-to-please party-goers is conducive to improving our trance scene (there is always room for improvement) It does not provide the objective criticism the promoters need to grow. As for Severin’s banners, I think Severin is a great artist and I love his work. However, since his banners were stolen a couple of years ago, he hasn’t been able to reproduce the quality of his old stuff. I was struck to see a couple of his decos nothing but prints of his t-shirts designs stamped sloppily over a white screen. And yes, we’be been seeing them at just about every Alladin party recently. I can’t help feeling like I am at a home after-party put together the last minute. A New Year’s party should be different, I believe, just like the last one with Goa Gill, when they brought the work by a Canadian artist. if you really think Severyn is a great artist, you love his art and you even know what happened with his stuff couple moths ago, tell me what is the meaning of this Severyn’s awful, recycled posters. !! I don’t think you like him at all no even as a person because you are talking shit about his living thing !! SEVERYN YOUR ART IS AMAZING !!!! by the way, if you don’t like our lineup stay home !! and yes the party is gonna be a B L A S T !!!!!! all best for everyone !!!!! feliz ano nuevo In regards to the line up: all head line up are known in the world for making very good music, it’s acceptable that you don’t like their music, (even that I don’t think u saw their live show in the last few years,) leave your mind open u might be surprised. Local Artist / Dj’s are the heart and soul of the local scene, try to support the local’s, (don’t forget every big international artist use to be local in his country) In regard to Severyn’s artwork he is really talented and he’s got a new set of art that I’m not sure that you saw, if you did and you still don’t like it, is acceptable, but you need to give him the respect he deserves as an artist. The party is going to be a blast, the artist will arrive tomorrow (Saturday) we all ready to celebrate the beginning of the New Year with a good vibe. The DMT sound system is alive and kicking at 83 Worth! The Alladin crew has been working hard all week to transform this beautiful venue into an even more magical place for our New Year’s revelry, and tonight a wide cross-section of the NYC crews — including Alladin, psyNY, and 28thday — began the finishing touches. We are in for a treat! As a final act of amnesty to all indecisive trancers, presale tickets have been extended to 2PM Sunday. Hundreds have already been sold to those who will have an extra $15 in their pockets for other necessities, and we invite you to be one of them! One of the two floors is decorated by Severyn. The other is a mix of Synthetic Sadhus deco and multiple video projections. So there will definitely be variety, just in case there are any other art critics lurking about… What a great start of a New Year! Great party, great music. Was so nice to see lots of old party goer’s faces and lots of new ones. Was a very happy atmosphere and amazing music on both floors. When my legs couldn’t dance anymore, my spirit still did and I got really tired around 6, but still couldn’t force myself to leave the party. Thank everyone for building such a great vibe for each other. I believe that the way you start a new year, that’s how the rest of the year will turn out for you. So I expect the upcoming year to be lots of joy and fun Natia. p.s. Eileen, I can’t even leave you by your own for a minute? As soon as I do you start losing things, what’s wrong with you, woman?!!! Thanks Alladin, the party was incredible, nice vibe. and the place was much much much better than I expected. Zion’s live was awesome, kno-b went crazy as usual,s-range and logic boom wow !! but for Cris DJs set I have no words , thank you for the best beginning of the year, you rocked the place!!!!!!! looking forward to the next party. Feliz Ano Novo!

Touch Samadhi – Unconditional NC

https://web.archive.org/web/20070117011711/http://touchsamadhi.com:80/events/2006/12/31/unconditional_nye unconditional You cannot become a positive thinker unless you have abundant love in your heart. You cannot be positive towards people and events, unless love flows from you unconditionally and engulfs everything that comes in your way. You cannot love others unconditionally unless you are free and detached and ready to forego your own interests for the sake of others. Love is a permanent guest of the heart that does not suffer from the urge to hurt, retaliate, and seek revenge. A selfish mind can only be a negative mind. It may pretend to be virtuous, but it cannot hide the hideousness of its vanity and the vulgarity of its hypocrisy. To be positive to others you have to learn to be positive towards yourself first. You must be ready and willing to forgive yourself, heal your past, and accept yourself unconditionally without a negative thought. Only he who loves himself unconditionally can love others unconditionally and show a positive attitude towards himself and towards others. Positive thoughts thrive in a mind that is free from all petty prejudices and preferences in life. A prejudiced mind can only be positive towards its own prejudices and venomous towards the rest. A mind that is beset with doubts and confusion cannot be positive. A mind that is driven by fear and uncertainty cannot appreciate the sweetness of a positive thought. To be mentally positive one must have abundant faith in oneself and in the Supreme Self. One must pour the light of faith into the darkness of one’s fears and melt them away. In truth only he who is free from fear, from want and from attachment, with a mind that is full of faith and conviction and full of unconditional love and compassion can have a positive attitude towards himself, towards life and towards others. Come and dance away your fear my friend. NEW YEARS EVE Potluck @ 6pm, PLEASE bring food to share! kids are welcome for the potluck only. Music starts at 8pm till sunrise. $10 entrance donation per person. www.touchsamadhi.com
