hi everybody !! all u guys with the extra negativity let people think that the party was shitty or something, the party was excellent. People had a great time lots of them come and say thanks for a wonderful one. the energy was high, and for the person or two who like really dark stuff, I remember people use to tell me that I play to hard 2 years ago, so its all a matter of taste. please respect at least the DJs and say u sorry. trance got many different kinds and styles u can’t always please everybody. next thing is that none of u know maybe not none but most of you, that there is no money in trance parties not in new york anyway u can ask all the promoters that’s a fact !!! there is no more than 300 people in a party whats make it hard to pay whats big artist wants, including flight tickets, artist expenses & host for like 4-5 days, flyers print & design, equipment rent, Djs, decoration, crew members that make it happen and make the place ready, and lots of small things, so it’s not a diamond factory and to pay $20 for a party is not a big deal its 2-3 hrs from ur paycheck. the reason I’m saying that is that its the same thing that most did for T.D.C people which I respect a lot and they are all brothers what u guys doing is damage to the scene for newcomers and for the old crowd that here. we try to keep it going, that what we all want. You need a lot of nerves to throw a party whoever did, know about it. Ely is trowing wonderful parties and he is not a bad person, he works very hard to build something and have another job to finance this event like all other promoters. if anyone thinks he can do better please welcome, the scene welcomes more parties. I respect and like everybody, but I had to do it to open your minds a little bit and stop being negative for the scene. and for all of u who like the party and support please goin me. peace Uriel

Newsletter going off a weekly frequency I am putting together a Nootropics newsletter for my company and it’s going to take up all my time. I will basically fold TripoutNY into it. So you’ll be getting the same newsletter, but with a lot more articles on smart ds, nutrition, life extension, meditation, etc. AThe calendar will still be included. Until the Nootropica newsletter launches, I will continue to fwd one email per trance party on this list, so you won’t really miss anything. It just means that there will be 3-4 emails a week rather than just one. If anyone would like to volunteer to take over the NYC trance calendar duty, and will really do it timely and reliably, let me know as I would gladly delegate. You just have to not be too hardheaded and argumentative about it. No personal vendettas will be catered to. I would fwd you all the emails to be compiled.

John ’00 Fleming Severely Injured in Boating Accident Gigs canceled until 22nd July International DJ John ’00 Fleming is recovering in hospital after a boating accident at the weekend nearly cost him his life. John was enjoying the hot weather with friends down near Brighton UK at the weekend when he came off the back of an inflatable doughnut and subsequently got hit by the boat that was towing him. Fortunately, he survived with a collapsed lung, four broken ribs, and a deep gash to his arm. Often this type of accident can prove fatal but John was luckily wearing a life jacket which took the brunt of the propeller. Without it the blades would have sliced through his chest. John will be released from the hospital in the next few days and is expected to make a full recovery within the next 3 to 4 weeks. In the meantime, all gigs have been canceled until 22nd July on medical instruction. John sends his apologies to all his fans who were expecting to see him particularly in Brazil and Ibiza and he hopes he can make it up to them in the future. All being well he should be able to honor all gigs from July 22nd onwards.

PSI – Halcyon in the Pine Barrens

Greetings, First of all, we are very pleased to announce our (no longer secret 😉 headliner: DJ ANDREW HUMPHRIES (Voice of Cod, Organic Records – London, UK) Andrew is a well-respected DJ around Europe and the A&R/Promotions manager for Organic Records. Releasing music under the guise of Mr. Biscuit and Voice of Cod (along with Colin OOOD), he describes his music as “dance floor psytrance with some mad experimentations, plus there must be a message.” Originally hailing from Australia, Andrew moved to the UK in 1999, and has played at most of the major clubs and parties there including Return to the Source, Catch23, Twisted, Karma, Liquid Connective, Anti World, Chichime, Natural Order, Shua, in addition to touring internationally in Portugal, USA, Greece, Holland, Spain, Switzerland, and his homeland of Australia. Having recently put together the critically acclaimed compilation “Invasion from Hyperspace”, Andrew is now poised to release the debut Voice of Cod album in the fall of 2005 on Organic Records. His sets are full of energy and some of the best upcoming and unreleased tunes Organic has to offer. Let’s be sure and give Andrew a warm welcome for his first New Jersey appearance! www.organicrecordswww.andrewsdenwww.voiceofcod http://www.triskelemanagement.com /voc.html (you can download one of Andrew’s mixes here, as well as listen to Voice of Cod samples, and read reviews of their tracks) The approximate schedule for the party is as follows:
23:00 – 1:00 – Ben Light-o-Matic
1:00 – 3:00 – Eg~Bot vs. Mescalinium
3:00 – 5:00 – Boipeba
5:00 – 7:00 – Andrew Humphries
7:00 – 9:30 – Dave Henshaw
9:30 – 11:00 – chill out extravaganza with Karmakanik, Nogloom, and special guests. The weather is looking great so far. you can check the local forecast here: and once again, you can view the full party info at our website www.psi-trance and see the flyer at http://gaian-mind /?p35 The artists and organizers are all very excited for this event. We hope you can come out and be a part of it. –the PSI team
If you would like to attend and obtain directions, you must RSVP by sending an email to sunshineGoa3 clearly indicating your name, where you are coming from, and how you came to hear about this event. Our secret headliner is 100% confirmed, flight has been booked. We will be revealing the mystery DJ a couple of days before the party. Can’t wait to see everyone out in the forest!!!
Welp, that was indeed a corker! Wow, awesome location, so many people! So many more than I expected. What a great location… that was one hell of a scene. Complete invisibility.
I had to jet about 6am, but I hope everything went smoothly for the next 5 hours. The place was still massively deep in a locked groove at that time, and it looked downright amazing from the top of that hill! Thanks for making that happen, PSI – I’ll definitely be out Aug. 20th. I only have one complaint: Those tiki torches – I could be wrong, but I think whatever you were burning created a thick black smoke cloud of soot that completely covered everyone. I guess it could’ve been the sand – but the sand was white-ish, and this stuff was black and all over me. I had to do some serious scrubbing to get it off too!
But hey, it’s good to get downright dirty every now and then!
first off, a thousand thank yous to all who made this gathering the amazing, unforgettable experience that it was: all the DJ’s, dancers, freaks, shamans, tweakers, neo-pagans, digi-hippies, and everyone who came out and participated.
I still cannot believe how many people were there, I mean easily 300 over the course of the night. unfortunately, as some of you may have heard, Andrew Humphries was unable to make it out. the airline completely dicked us over. we had bought his plane ticket using my friend Theo’s frequent flyer miles. even though Theo actually drove to the airport to sign a waiver in person allowing Andrew to use his miles when Andrew attempted to board the plane, they accused him of fraudulently using someone else’s miles and refused to let him on! by the time Theo had sorted it out with the airline and booked Andrew on a later flight (the last one of the day), Andrew had already left the airport, and we were unable to establish contact with him until after the last flight had already left. argh!
despite this setback, we were able to get in touch with Greg/DJ horizon at the last minute and get him down to new york. he played an awesome set, so ironically it worked out after all. I don’t think too many people noticed or cared. the party and the music were just too good the whole night Wow man, that party was off the hook. The stomping ground was dense and kicking all through the night and into the morning. The sound was good, the deco was just right, projections on the trees added a nice touch… Attendance was at an all-time high for the barrens, as far as I can remember, and the raver element was at an all-time low. Good psychedelic energy all the way. My theory about the black soot in the dust: The clearings in the pine barrens (there are many) were created by intentional fires so that in case of wildfire the fire dept. can get in close enough to extinguish it. This would most likely leave more than a bit of ash. So it’s just powdered charcoal in the dust. I could be wrong, but it makes sense to me.
I just wanted to extend everyone who came out a very heartfelt thank you for contributing to an AMAZING UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE party! As Scotty so eloquently put in on Sunday morning, this is the kind of event people will tell their kids about 10-20 years down the line when they’re complaining about how “it’s not like it used to be…”
Throwing a party of this magnitude is a lot of hard work, stress, and of course last minute bullshit, but you guys all came through and then some!
Ben, our resident lighting technician, sound engineer, chill out DJ, and jack-of-all-trades extraordinaire, contributed black lights, subwoofers, amps, headphones, power cords, decorations, and a great warm-up DJ set! That was actually the best set I’ve heard you play in a long time (and that’s a compliment, not an insult ..). THANK YOU!
Eitan and Mimi, your music and artwork are just incredible. As beautiful as the deco looked under the blacklight, I thought it was even more so with the sun rising behind it in the morning. Eitan, I enjoyed your set as always, especially the second half where you blended the dark and light to meet the twilight of the day. For all your hard work and dedication THANK YOU! Dave, Jaime, and Keith, I am lucky to call you guys my collaborators and friends. For all your help in setting up, scoping out the site, and Dave for an awesome tag team set, THANK YOU! and for those of you who enjoyed our music, we are available for weddings and bar mitzvahs… Dave and Marria, it was a pleasure hosting you for one of our events (Marria for the 1st time in four years! ). the whole night I was picturing a beautiful morning progressive set with the sun shining down over the field, and you delivered the goods and then some. THANK YOU! I’m already looking forward to playing for you guys in Boston.
Greg, you came through at the last minute, and your music and enthusiasm were infectious. Even all the proggy snobs were bouncing around bringing in the sunrise with your set! THANK YOU! Theo, you handled every promoter’s worst nightmare without skipping a beat. For someone just beginning to make their mark on the scene, you acted like a consummate professional. THANK YOU! Chad, thank you for contributing the extra subs and booth monitors. The sound was really at another level this time. THANK YOU! Josh, THANK YOU! for designing and printing the flyer. Sam, THANK YOU! for designing, registering, and upkeeping the website. And Scotty, lol, thanks for helping me refill the generator. I’m thinking we might actually turn it off next so as not to put us in harm’s way THANK YOU! We will be back in action on Saturday, August 20th with the TOUCH Samadhi boys. Hope to see you all there!!! Cheers, Pat PSI)

Non-Trance Event under Bridge
the crew that throws the house music parties is putting this together. THIS IS NOT A TRANCE EVENT! There have been parties with both the DMT and the locals having a party at the same location, with the music being pretty good, but there have been problems in the past with some people either not appreciating 2 parties at the same spot or that most of the people who went to the house/R&B part ended up staying at our trance party and the promoters didn’t seem to like that. That being said, if you’re in the mood for different flavors of house/hip hop/R&B, the bridge location this Sat. might be a good spot to chill-
The house crew up at> > 181st is having a bridge party that night (Sat.). > > > > There’s a 12hr. old school techno/D&B/A house> party Friday.

July 29 Friday
Tsunami – JUNYA ESKIMO RINKADINK ALAN and more
SPIRIT 530 West 27th Street (between 10th & 11th Avenues) 10pm till 7am THE FUTURE IS NOW: These young artists, are both, already for years, among the absolute top international trance DJs and producers, mesmerizing huge crowds in the four corners of the globe. Despite their young age, both have between 5 and 10 years of professional experience, and with their youthful enthusiasm, seduce any dance floor softly and gently into explosions of joy and consciousness. JUNYA ESKIMO, live & DJ set (Phantasm. UK) YUNYA (19) is second-generation trance artists, his father being the founder and leader of the legendary PHANTASM label. He grew up ion his labels studio, hanging out with most of the current and past top international trance masters. It came as no surprise when 3 years ago he jumped on the world stage himself and is ever since one of the absolute top trance artists in the world. RINKADINK, live and DJ set (Alchemy Records, UK) RINKADINK (Werner Johan) is of South African and UK origin. His creative full-on music, has made that no current trance compilation or no top quality DJ set is complete, without at least one RINKADINK track. He is one that America will very much take to heart, due to his uplifting, all-encompassing, and addictive sound, and due to his clean and professional delivery. ALLEN (Gaian Mind – Philadelphia) MINDS OF DEMENTED ADMISSION Stores: $30 (commission included) Groovetickets: $28 (plus commission) At the door: $35 with flyer $40 without 18 to enter / 21 to drink Valid Picture ID is Required TSUNAMI-TRANCE While visiting Tsunami-trance, sign up to our email list, so that you will be informed personally of our upcoming world-wide events and releases.
What happened to back to back DJ sets by both RINKADINK and ESKIMO? And each of them played for only like an hour, what’s up with that Tsunami guys?
Plus, Eskimo’s set wasn’t even close to living, very good set, but not live
damn it ;D
veeery nice party … who cares about Eskimo.. if it was live or not..rinkadink made EVERYBODY dance all the time.. I was alone there but it was very nice to see people smiling, being nice with others hahahaha in love for the white pants girl… perfect smile aiuhauihauiha aiuhuah
rorh – I care about ESKIMO and RINKADINK. I came to hear them do their thing for more than one hour each. I wanted to go to both parties this weekend but had to choose only one. And I chose this one because these DJ’s come to NY very rarely. Don’t get me wrong they both played great and I loved it, but the promoters deceived us on many aspects of this party. I guess I should have gone to Alladin Party, at least they always try to do their best (even if DJ’s don’t show up) to make the party great.
MY MY MY … someone has a shitload of explaining to do … firstly, total and utter respect to Brandon .. for a “kid” to control the floor in the closing hours of a powerful party, with class and style like he did, seriously, that was a job well done .. for those of us who couldn’t walk without jumping at that point, music was needed and Brandon provided it .. thanks man, that was a crazy set .. !! BUT REALLY NOW, WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON WITH FATBOY SLIM IN THE CUTOFF VEST, WITH TATTOOS ON HIS ARMPITS, MORE ALCOHOL IN HIS SYSTEM THAN HE COULD HANDLE, and the scariest visage I have ever seen while under the effect of .s.d after the energy of the party had reached its peak with absolutely freakin phenomenal sets by Rinkadink and Eskimo ( for those of you who have issues with either of these sets, im not too sure psy is for you .. ), we were suddenly treated to a minute of silence, as our lord the DJ did not realize that the music blasting on his headphones was ONLY blasting on his headphones .. Junya slides over and pushes a slider up, saying let everyone else hear the music .. and what are we treated to, after three hours of live, intense cutting edge music .. ??
CMON NOW, LETS [DECKS OFF] [DECKS ON] ALL TAKE SOME [DECKS OFF] [DECKS ON] MESCALINE ..
you have got to be kidding me .. not to forget the faces he is making, blaming the decks – and then the next half an hour, which is really too hilarious to type, you just had to be there to see this guy make a complete and utter jackass of himself and a mockery of the slot he was supposed to fill.. I could have stood there with two discmans and pressed start stop on tracks and done a way better job than that .. ! JOHN EMMANUEL, hurray .. you brought down rinkadink .. but what the hell is the point when all you seem to be concerned about is pocketing your money and running? who the hell organizes a party where you have two high energy international acts followed immediately by darkness, silence, and then a sorry mistake of a DJ who completely destroyed the energy .. decor? hahah, why do I even expect that anymore, it seems shelling out the extra few hundred is forbidden .. !!
LIST OF THINGS FOR NEXT TIME: 1. clear line up that progresses in terms of music – for instance, Brandon Eskimo rinkadink Allan would have worked well at this party 2. some deco 3. if you’re having a list, be clear about it, god damn it .. ! 4. drunken Irishmen and psytrance don’t go together …especially when they are behind the decks.

deedrah was really good though, masterful beats and chugging style, not too fast or hard, just good psy that would be best suited to a 10 o clock set outdoors ..
knob played a whole lot of chemical crew, although the talpa track he always plays sent shivers through the entire floor .. knob, ease up on the chemical pleaase

what a nice gathering!! so many nice friends together for a blasting evening of good music!
i feel refreshed… thanks guys for putting this together!
Luis’ party went on last week. Dmitri from TIP Records was there. In a further blow to the crap late 90s, Sasha & Digweed domination of Twilo will be a blowout, with both High German and Low Germans represented. I would love to be a fly on the wall when manager Mike Bindra – whose limp wristed soulless minions always blocked psytrance acts at Twilo and were once quoted as saying they will NEVER have psytrance at that space – is forced to book them on a regular basis

FREE outdoor psychedelic trance in the pines!!! FREE psychoactive music and dance gathering starts around 10:00 pm- never ends Snacking sticks and branches of sensory data transfers, the celestial double helix arches it’s ancient vertebrae in the fluid spawning of new reflective time threads. The physical and energetic puty gets smeared, bleaching out into cosmic turbulent weather of sound flakes. The telepathy membranes start here, now, and the frogs hear it first, coming into synch with the hexagonal, reproductive cells, of spasming thought flowers. Primal portals rip open, revealing their infinite expansiveness and nonphysical ecology, in a pulsing cosmic dance which oscillates between existence and non-existence, in perfect mutating symmetry. A new existence is coming into phase, the multidimensional sun is about to rise, and you are intertwined in all of it’s blasting tranquility. Keep this information away from police people. 3’s a charm. This party made my belief that no matter where you are in this country, you will find like-minded people just because of Goa trance. Loved tonight, even though the club was like a tin box, the energy was flowing from Dimitry and Brandon without remorse. And the crowd was reciprocating every milligram. NYC rocked tonight, and I’m glad I was there to share the vibes.

DMT Bridge – Burning Buddha
Photos
The DMT is making up for lost time. The DMT debut is this weekend, but it will be announced only on Safetydance and DMT. It’s going to be huge and a carnival of the senses with free giveaways from Tibet. You won’t want to miss this.
Let the Drama Begin – Burning Buddha/Burning Serge Tonight Friday through Sunday, April 14 – 36 hour trance-a-thon Please forward this to nice people only. We’re officially starting up for the summer. We’ll make up for lost time with a couple of rituals a month until
it gets too cold.
The annual DMT Burning Buddha festival is joining forces with the Free Serge
Movement in honor of our incarcerated friend in Nebraska. All DJs are
confirmed. Be sure to get there on time Friday for free food and drink. If
you’re pulling a marathon be sure to bring something to sleep on Saturday.
Tents welcome. Free DMT open-air events in 2004 brought in an average of 300 people per event. The police know about us and have condoned us, the locals love us.
But still, don’t wander off by yourself. I myself was mugged in that area
in the middle of the day hours after we were through, so keep your head on
and don’t do foolish things and you should be fine.
Feel free to pst this everywhere, as the direx are not on here, other than
it’s where we have been doing events for five years. If you would like to
get directions to this event, please join our religion – the Devotional
Ministry of Trance. Annual dues are $25. You may join by sending via
PayPal. You cal also simply join Safetydance for
$10 a year which gives you all the underground psy parties, but you’ll still
be screened.
Burning Buddha 2005

we won’t leave anyone waiting in the dark… Our ride for the equipment fell

On behalf of Alphatrance, Omnitribe, Subtle Chaos/Pulse Industries, and many others: We are getting together to produce a very special event. It is to benefit our dearest friend and talented digital media artist, Serge Mozgalevskiy. If you haven’t met him personally, you might have seen his work – his video projections helped to create an amazing visual environment at numerous events. We were shocked to find out recently that Serge is in prison now. He is the PRISONER OF WAR, the ‘war on drugs’. His situation is complicated further by immigration issues. But we are happy to know that he is in good spirits and continues to fight for his freedom. He has been imprisoned for over 3 months now and he can be kept for 3 more without any progress in his case. Serge obviously cannot generate any income to pay his bills during this time, so he can really use our help. Join us for a celebration of free spirit with the NY finest and funkiest DJs, send your prayers and positive thoughts to Serge, help with what you can financially. The event will be held until? The location is to be announced soon. If you are willing and capable of helping financially, there are 2 ways of doing it: – we will be collecting monetary donations at the event. – you can use PayPal to send money electronically to the following e-mail address: vladk at maxf.net – this requires a free PayPal account. (web Paypal) Forward this where you feel is appropriate, in other words, do it with care. Keep your heads up for details… Questions/Suggestions – contact Gosha at onceboxed at inbox.ru and 1(917) 446-5688

if you went to burning Buddha this last Friday…We went over budget as we had to bring everything back ourselves as we stayed an extra day for Serge’s benefit, which as you know was busted up. Our less expensive ride to the event also fell through at the last minute. As such, we are a bit in the hole ($160) and I have rent due today. I also received three tickets which are packed away somewhere. If you attended the event and can make a small contribution it would be most appreciated and would make my life a lot easier. Any little bit would help.
Start your wow, thanks! we’re happy anyway, but if we break even (which normally happens) it’s a lot easier to do it again (in the other, less exposed spot, of course, and after Labor day).
From: Daniel DeMaria The good, the bad & the ugly: Friday night’s party was the first one for us this season and t didn’t disappoint. Things started off late, which personally for me was a blessing in disguise because of a major meltdown with equipment at work. I was on the phone with AGFA with problems with our computer to plate system and our film back-up system died too. With a lot of work due for 6-7 AM delivery, I was in a major crunch mode. Regardless, Jeff managed to get transportation and was at my job at around 11:15, where he was attempting to convert some of the people I work with to the psytrance way of life! Ahhhh, what they are missing…One thing that I keep telling myself is that I need to be there to help set up/hook up stuff, but because of a number of things, mainly my selfish need to unwind a bit from a rough day, plus being a bit “wired” since Wed. night’s weekly (Luis, hope you’re feeling better!), I at least wanted to take a shower and change my clothes. Got there around 2:30AM and things were rocking! A potential incident turned out to be love and happiness going around, I really can describe the beautiful vibe that was in effect! That was good, the coming together of the different groups of people and making the first DMTparty this summer such a blast. Now the bad… a few things have slightly blemished an otherwise good weekend for NYC trance. Because I wasn’t there to hook up the sound, and I’m guessing things were done in a rush because of the late start, one of the 18″ subs that I had gotten back from Sam Ash for repairs, I think has blown a fuse. it took roughly 6 months to get them back from Mackie because of a shortage of parts! I think instead of going through Sam Ash for this I’ll send it to EARS to fix. At least that should only take a few days at most. After I vacuum the dirt out of the sub, I’ll see about getting a ride to the place. The major thing that messed up the weekend was that the NYPD broke things up at around 10PM because of noise complaints. Now, in the “how cool is that”department, the noise complaints didn’t come from the people in Manhattan, but from the Bronx! Hell, and we didn’t even use all of the available sound! We should give those people the Bronx cheer for not appreciating the intricate nature of psytrance music and the bass-heavy beats. I’m sure if it were some sort of salsa or reggaeton stuff, they would have kept their mouths shut, but nooooo…After the cops busted things up, the people who were going to provide transportation for the equipment didn’t come through, so everything was sitting up on the street with a few people sitting up there with it until about dawn when Robbi came through with his van. That was the bad
The ugly is was JoAnne getting mugged at gunpoint.JoAnne has had a pretty rough year, and this incident just adds to the problems that she has been trying to overcome this year. Last year at JoAnne’s B-day, myself and Nancy and a few other people were singled out for attempted robbery. Most of those attempts didn’t work out the way the thieves thought it would. Jeff getting mugged at knifepoint. It really is time for another spot, either the GW Bridge side or elsewhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens. Anyway, time to get back to work for me. See ya at theWed. weekly, El Nadiv’s Friday night party, and possibly either the PVD at Central Park or the NJ part __http://www.yahoo /r/hs To: Machinelf, the DMT Cc: safetydance From: Lauryn Subject: Re: [SafetyDance] FW: A few Burning Buddha pics:the DMT, safetydance To: machinelf at brainmachines From: Olga Van Karnig Subject: Re: [SafetyDance] RecapHey this is stefan…..using my friend’s email…. I’m catplex awesome party Friday to Saturday…thanx zo much jeff….glad to hear youll be using the old spot for next party……there’s never been a problem there and we’ve had multiple, amicable visits from the cops there, so cool….one thing I made note of this weekend was that there was confusion finding the spot in the dark…people were a little scared coming for the first time and other issues…i think all this would be solved and more if we started bridge parties in daytime/early evening.new people wud have less probs and fear exploring and finding the location.everyone will probably be better acclimated and things shud go smoother overall, we could have evening downtempo:) and everyone wud know where everything was before the darkid also love to see a 4 point sound setup…we can do that I think…thanks!!!
HERE IS WHY THE BRIDGE PARTY GOT BUSTED The problem with the bridge party was that this party was at a different location than the one traditionally used by for psytrance parties. The organizers moved the location from the “safe” location that people had been throwing parties at for years, to another location underneath another bridge about 200 meters away. The New location was a bad choice because it was underneath a bridge that pedestrians and slower moving traffic used, versus the old location which was a highway bridge. The new location was a bad choice because you could hear the music near the edge of the park, and you had a big bonfire going. The old location was better situated, because the sound was directed away from the road, and it was much easier to clean up after a party. Also, the new location sucked because there was no grassy area like the old location. The old location had a nice big clearing, while the old location was too much in the forest and there was no clean line of sight for the whole party, so people ended up wandering in the brush near the edge of the party, and making a huge mess in the woods. – My suggestion is this: 1. Use the old location, it is much safer. 2. don’t have open fires in a city park underneath a major overpass. 3. Don’t have a party for more than 24 hours.

Besides Morocco, which I’m not going to due to work, there are two events labor day weekend. – One is a big multigenre festival with Hallucinogen and Bryan’s fave (he’ll be foaming at the mouth) Disco Biscuits. I’ll probably make it out to the TDC event because the vibe will probably more conducive to nature, unless you’re into those crazy Disco Bicuit Heads.

Dr Spook, Blue Spectral Monkey, et al And now hear this: The Touch Samadhi crew will be in NYC this weekend, and Blue Spectral Monkey has deigned to grace us with his presence on Friday night!! So. if you were on the fence. if the chips were down, and you didn’t know what to do Friday night. if Dr. Spook and a 10 dollar cover weren’t convincing enough for you. here ya go. Anybody who misses this should hang up their trancepants and go buy some hardcore CDs. Truly a connoisseur of psychedelic electronic music, Blue Spectral Monkey has been collecting and spinning constantly since 1996. Due to his enthusiasm, devotion, and mastery of the craft, Blue Spectral Monkey is widely recognized as one of the leading psychedelic trance/psy-chillout DJs in the US. His trance sets are often dark and twisted, pounding and mysterious, a futuristic symbiosis of tribal intensity and technological meltdown. As a downtempo DJ, he dives deeply into new electronic dub, slow trance, chill techno, IDM, beatless ambient soundscapes and drones, and chilled breaks with an ethno-spiritual-psychedelic twist, all the time keeping the sounds thick, groovy and trippy. Special thanx goes out to Spooky, whose idea this was, Danderaver, who provided the sound, and both Monkey and Gosha for volunteered their musical talents. I would also like to thank Joanne and Zac, without whom I would never have been able to relax.

You know what was the strangest part of the party for me? when the stopped the music right before the played Depeche Mode and it was just….silent. deafening silence. And then everyone just kind of looked at each other. It looked like 300 people had just shared the same awkward silence.
I wanted to thank everyone for making my first outdoor psytrance experience so amazing. Especially Spook for treating me as an equal, showing me the ins and outs of the VJ biz, and for, in general, giving me so many pointers on promoting/working party politics. Miss IcycoiL, it was a pleasure meeting you even though you took most of my words as the inane mutterings of one too far spaced to touch even a hint of the earth (your sunshine set was the perfect cap to my party experience). Kri, thanks for letting me hang over your shoulder while you were in the booth. Alex, hope you enjoyed the shade of my impromptu tent in the morning. Christian, I immensely enjoyed your set (the second I’ve seen–the first, the NYC party on Friday), sorry if I was a bit manic and dissociative in our chats. Pat, I loved your progressive set; it was the perfect thing to clear our heavy heads as the day broke its first face (extra-special thanks for “Enjoy the Silence” and super-extra-special thanks for playing out the entire track). You guys all made me feel like part of the family and it was a pleasure sharing the space of that Jersey field with you.
Dave Henshaw’s Review: 12 hours in car! Asheville seems like days away! They came and conquered! OK, OK – I’ll shut the door on that one immediately…… creeek Majestic Meadow Light-O-Matic Sound System A PERFECT combo. SLAM So yeah, people have been saying that the party had a weird vibe – and you know, it really did. Full moon? End of the summer? Rent checks due soon? I dunno. I would say the weirdness came from the fact that it was so different than many of the parties that I’ve been to over the course of the summer. First of all, it was FREE!! Nobody checked ID’s, nobody demanded money, nobody searched me on the way in! We just drove the truck onto the field and literally walked untouched onto the dancefloor. Second of all – it was LOADED with respectful, happy, smiling, and giving people! You had Pat, Neil and the whole PSI crew securing the venue and working hard to organize it. You had Ben lugging the sound system and setting it up. You had DJ’s and visual artists coming from all over the U.S to donate their time and efforts. You had Sharon dishing out the ice and drinks, Mark doling out the sweet Chai, and Marria and the Boston team wiring up a blender! (thanks Spook) to make frozen fruit smoothies to pass around the dancefloor. (say nothing about the sweet hula hoops!) I think the weirdness may have come from the fact that this party – much like the last Pine Barrens party – was the exact ideal vision that most “trance hippies” have in mind when they compare our generation with our technology-free woodstocker generation of the late sixties. Free party, free food, free music and visuals, free parking – and MASSIVE amounts of respect for all the people there and the venue itself. I was one of the last to leave and let me say, “leave no trace,” was more a divine rule than just a casual suggestion. Not a stitch of left-over! (MAJOR props to an unknown guy who, at mid-morning, was seen patrolling the grounds with a zip-lock bag picking up butts, bottle caps, and little papers.) The party was a massive collaboration of folks representing seven different states and a residential radius of over 2500 miles! In such a state, it’.s difficult to let go of that inherent human drive towards complaining and being skeptical. Ominus gusts of wind would sweep through the late-night air – followed with the standard “Ok, here comes the rain!” Needless to say, not a drop of rain fell. (Though, I will say, Pat was VERY prepared with generator covers and all the procedures that you’d expect an organizer of such class to have up his sleeve.) People would leave our campsite and others would look to engage in “talking about them.” But there was never anything to say! Save a few acid casualties, I saw nothing but smiling faces and people having a good time. I’ll keep this short – as David DeJesus just homered off Matt Clement to tie to the Sox game at 3 – so my attention is sadly (sadly? sniff Joanna? This is VERY important!!) diverted. But let me give some serious THANK YOU applause to everyone who was there… Pat, Neil, Dave, and the PSI crew for totally dialing in this party. (And the sweeet early morning prog!!) These last two events have made me feel so bad that I missed the previous three years worth of these things! Such an awesome time!! And, of course, Ben for the sweet system!! KRI, Monkey, Katie, and all the heads who drove up from Asheville and represented! The musical sets were… well… full-on! The tapestries were powerful! (especially the geometric shape-ones) and the “sharsies” were cool too. One of the best moments of the party for me was sitting in the campsite futilely “arguing” with Kri about the superiority and importance of progressive psy-house while Katie, seeking shade, literally crawled UNDERNEATH the truck! As if my very well-engineered tarp structure was not good enough! Spook – For a guy I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting, this guy proved to be a MAJOR champion! Not only for giving us access to his power for blender-plug-in, but for just being an eternal source of positivity at the event. Musically, visually, on the dancefloor – this guy is some major league light! Paal and Teri – our friends who will be moving on to their next phase – a life in Norway – and who we’ll miss greatly. The party was tough and sad in this case only. Having that “one last hurrah” with good friends is tough to swallow and I think the sadness and anxiety got the best of us all on many more than one occassion.. 🙁 Mark – for the Chai and the comic relief when needed. Typical Mark Matsyendra Dot Net! Merry – FOR COMING!!! I thought she had been swallowed by Las Vegas forever! And that last track… it was like something out of a Greta Garbo movie!! Serena – for dialing in the last of the string sculptures and making it count! It was simply bomb and made the whole display feel like an installation! Dustin – for holding down the dancefloor once again! Though I’ve seen the shark in much more of a frenzy, it was still good to see him representing the Three Rivers! Darius – for holding it down during smoothy making and Karmakanic’s set! It’s always great to talk with this guy. Lots of stuff going on with him and in his mind. Easily one of the finer individuals around! Sharon – for the ice and all the good campsite conversation! After the last party, I’d say her and I were on the same page this time. Making sure to dial in the shade structures and have enough to go around… Jacob – for getting me talking about trash disposal and thinking about it at a crucial time in the event. His good-natured comment was placed perfectly and sent me off in a direction I needed to go. Sid and Hsuan – two guys from Connecticut who I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with. Two examples of the positivity that seemed to be screaming in everyone’s face every moment! Alright, Alright… I’ll shut up now… I’m pretty distracted.. Can you tell? (Clement just loaded the bases with his THIRD hit batter of the night) Thanks to everyone who came out, hula-hooped in the sun, threw the frisbee around, danced, played music, enjoyed artwork, and made this party… well… really fun!! ———-sidenote: “dialed-in” (verb) 1. trance To bring, donate, display, or share anything which adds to the positivity of a party or any related trance activity. USED: Knowing the crowd was excited to hear them, the DJ dialed in two of the new Phony Orphants tracks during his set. 2. CNC To assign x,y, and z coordinates to a spindle and then assign that spindle a tool. Also can be used in assigning a tool to a lathe tool holder or a manual mill chuck. USED: He needed to skim the surface of the skid-plate, so he dialed in the fly-cutter and took .005 off the entire surface.
what flipped my head were those two helicopters that flew by together toward the end of the party. they were so low I wouldn’t have been surprised if they landed right there. maybe it just scared me cuz I was tripping my balls off. damn paranoia at times. oh well. I loved the entire experience, again.
Wow this party was so much fun it’s difficult for me to capture all the great moments! Visually I heard this was the best PSI party yet, with Spook’s insanely amazing visuals, Dave and Marria’s fluoro string art, and who could not foam at the mouth over Shane from Touch Samadhi’s fractalicious tapestry art? Brilliant. Some musical highlights for me were BSM’s night sounds, Kri’s deeeeep sunrise set, and Pat’s mighty ass-shakin’ progressive morning jive. Dmitry also played an interesting morning set. Dare I also mention the Dr. Spook vs. IcycoiL tag-team “Powerfluff” set? It was an honor to close out the party with some chill. Always wonderful to party in the Pine Barrens, PSI never ceases to amaze me! BIG thanks to Ben Lightomatic, the ‘sound angel’, who repeatedly generously provides much of his sound-system & blacklights to help keep the PSI vibe alive. Also, Touch Samadhi for driving all that way and pleasing the senses as always. The one and only Dr. Spookypants who trekked out from the West Coast and made me say “holy shit” about 500 times while I watched all the colors morph before my eyes. And last but certainly not least, Pat and Theo who just keep building these parties bigger and better!
it was an amazing time like always! I’m glad those guys found their car keys they we’re talking to me about it before they left…. as for the music… I THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT!!! lmao…. I think the best thing was when the music stopped at like 10 something in the morning and someone put on Duran Duran (i think)…. it was pretty much all psy maybe a couple of trance songs… and there were a couple of vocals …. but I thought it was great! it was nice to mix it up a bit haha. The word is def. spreading about how great our psytrance “scene” is… and how nice, courteous and accepting the people are at these events… I saw people that I met like 5 years ago this weekend haha… it was def. a great end to my summer! Thank you so much… and a big thanks to everyone who made this party so great… camoboi (Erik)

Samy Guedichi is originally from Switzerland. He moved to Santa Cruz, close to San Francisco, California, and seven years ago started a recording studio with Nicolas Oesch, one of the founders of Biogradable years after, and produced various local solo artists and bands, as well as his individual projects. Then he started project Central Processing Unit (CPU), a very personal sound, on the dark cutting edge of the experience. Mekkanikka (Spirit Zone Records) LIVE & DJ SETS Mekkanika comes with a dance floor killer on Spirit Zone Records. Pulsing bass and relentless beats combine to create a release to scorch any dance floor. Penta (AuraQuake Records) LIVE & DJ SETS Penta unlocks a wicked vault of powerful, futuristic, audio wizardry ranging from high nighttime through heavy dropping morning full-on tunes. Each track is woven tightly with an outstanding production and composition crafting a unique fabric of floor-filling full-on psychedelic trance. Polaris (Neurobiotic Records) LIVE & DJ SETS Polaris is 32 years old, he discovered trance in 1989 in clubs in Paris. Arno started playing as DJ in 1994 in Ibiza. He started producing music in 1999 under the name Polaris. He has been playing all around the world and you can have a taste of his music tracks released on Neurobiotic Records V.A. – Decoder, the new Alchemy Records – Wildlife and the forthcoming Solstice compilation “Holographic memory II”. We arrived around 5:00 p.m. on Friday to admire a spectacular main stage deco, under cover but open to the air. The TDC crew had rounded up some great skills and resources in the creation of the visual environment (Daya Cayung’s and Severyn’s spectacular fluoro banners and amazing string sculptures) and I looked forward to enjoying it under full party conditions. Curiously absent though, was any sign of a sound system. Hmmm. I visit to the delightful lakeside chillout area revealed similar visual acumen but also, no amplification. I happily found sources for all the other ingredients needed for full party conditions so we went of to set a camp, light a fire, and listen for the arrival of actual music (the smattering of car stereos and boom-boxes sprinkled throughout the campsites only created a slightly annoying musically ambiguous ambiance). There were pessimistic grumblings about the other party just 50 miles up the road diluting the audience. I was unconvinced. The psy family would surely come here rather go to hear Posford play alongside Drum and Bass. We waited. The sunset. The darkness drew close around the firelight. The margaritas made us drowsy. By 11:00 the need for sleep overtook us so we retired to sleeping bags in the hope that, should a sound system arrive, it would wake us and summon a fresh store of energy. Midnight: Awakened by a thunderous Boom-boom!!! We joined the party. For a while anyway. We had decided that we’d keep Friday night short so we were fully charged for Saturday. Plus my mental state was not suitable for the intensity in the main stage (there was still no chillout sound!!). So we drifted back to our camp. The campground’s usual weekend residents had not completely abandoned the space to the trancers. One large camp, in particular, was loudly stating that Rock ‘n Roll was here to stay (until about 3:00 a.m. when, apparently, Rock ‘n Roll went to bed). A guy was fishing the lake with the brightest of hand lights. Perhaps he was hoping to attract a shoal of squid. We took a much-needed deep draft of sleep. By the time we de-bagged it was late Saturday morning. The chillout sound had arrived and was playing some nice reggae dub which put us in a Rastafarian mood. People were teaching each other poi moves, slack-rope walking, balloon deflation and playing in this beautiful garden of earthly delights. Even the Russians seemed slightly cheerful. We danced gently and tai’d our chi in the warm sun, letting the energy slowly edge back into us. The slow build had worked. By the time we were serious about getting into the main stage Lauren was starting what was to be a set of blistering intensity. She beat us, flogged us, called us trash, and bullied us around some more. The energy on the dancefloor seemed limitless and answered every call from the music and the DJ. We screamed, sweated and danced with joy and fury. When Polaris took over, he had no choice but to back it down a bit so we settled into more of a listening mode for a while. By the time Penta and CPU played, the full psychedelic environment had completely come together, enhanced by an unusually good and well-coordinated show from Lasermaxx (who ran about 10 instruments to really slice up the room!) CPU took me into sonic space that was hard, intriguing, dark, full of astonishment, and rich in material. My legs reminded me that I had twisted my knee rather badly a month before so was quite happy it had made it that far. We decided to listen to Mechannikka from our tents. It had started to rain, sometimes quite hard so the combination of rain on canvas mixed with the two sound systems was an intriguing sound for our happy ears. Slept some more and joined the morning doofers around 7:00. Smiles were everywhere. Chad from Botswana regaled us with outrageous tales of endless parties and childbirth. Overall, this party was ‘up there’ with the best of the summer festivals. Do it again TDCNY. We’ll bring more hedz. BigNick (old tall bald dude)
yes indeed the rain was incredibly refreshing, cooling the electrically charged bodies after the inebriation of frequency barrage. although it is difficult to pick out favorites among all the excellent artists who lent their sonic skills to complement the visual wonderland that was the main dance area, the highlights for me were Lauryn who displayed her excellent mixing skills and exciting track selection( love that ocelot- turn it up) Pentas live set – his music always pushes all of my buttons in just the right way. and I guess I’m not the only one eh yomy BUT I would have to agree with Daya that TDC mafia morning set just tookt me to a different level. I wish that nik was there with the gang I hope he feels better. Mukti – that mix with the two azax tracks was nothing short of brilliant. what an amazing vibe we had there ppl. THANK YOU TDC all DJs artists visual artists and dancers for creating the amazing energy.
It was an incredible festival, top-notch quality. Lots of friends, perfect weather, and of course, the music….Oh my God!!!!! That Saturday night until Sunday morning will be missed forever…from Allen’s set, Lauryn, Polaris, to Penta, CPU, Mekkanikka….excellent track selection and a show of DJ mixing skills….I feel lucky for been part of this night…and Babla’s 5 hour-set Saturday morning…you fried my melon, Babla!!!!! Congrats TDC, one more time you guys show your professionalism and passion for our music.
awesome party folks. Penta and CPU were right up there and with them was definitely fria. Why wasn’t she on the flier??I saw her play once in Goa and it was insane….I’ve never seen a party take off like that. She played some nice music that not many ppl have. GREAT SET FRIA!!!! TDC family a big thumbs up. The deco was so psychedelic, the venue was super, the organisation was excellent…
TDC you did an amazing job, echo lake was full of mystery and magic, Ex and I got lost in the woods, insane …. Sound system was kick ass, the music was so well chosen by all the artists
Lauryn I like to see a woman on the DJing, loved your set, deco was amazing, Chay you are a master also all the friends and good vibes made it really special for me, and last but not least Sayed Kalifa from Echolake and also the barman, you are a beautiful soul, so nice meeting you …
Thx everyone for the kind words! Thx to everyone who attended the festival, I was really happy to see all the good ppl came And I hope everyone enjoyed. Thanks to all the Dj’s and artists for mind-blowing sets! BIG thanks to Mietek for help during the set up Also special thx to Sahil, I hope after this one ppl were able to gather back remains of their brains from the walls and ceiling. Also, I want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart to all the ppl who support us all around the world! Without all of u, nothing would ever happen! Also, I want to say sorry, Friday night I was unable to play cause I was deadly tired, and Saturday night I got severely sick … still recovering at this moment. Ok, the festival is over, I think the ground ( or my head ) was still shaking as we were leaving … we are going to continue doing what we do (bringing up the trance scene in the US and making quality events) So I hope to see everyone at the next party! Love and respect for all ~
Since last year we have two Harvest fest. One guy pulling harvest fest since 1990 other (owner of the Echo Lake) since last year (they had a fight u know about what…..) I talked to both organizers both refused to have any kind of electronica on their fest (once they tried that back in 2000 and they have a very bad experience, Sam (guy whos making original Harvest fest) simply said that they did attract the wrong kind of crowd, period.)
However if u ever been @ Harvest fest u don’t have to worry. since ppl bringing all kind of music equipment (i am attending harvest since 1999) so basically u got 3 to 4 small scanes (about size and power of Last chill-out scene @ TDC) and they playing all kind of stuff.
ok guys here is the breakdown of the events that happened: reached echo lake abt 6pm Friday evening, set up camp and headed straight to both the stages to help out on any work that I could help with…. Daya’s vision of decorating the place was simply perfect………… I could not have suggested anything to be different……….. just perfect. well the sound reached a lil late but the sound was up and ready, (did I mention bloody powerful) by about 11.00…. TDC played for an hour and then I managed to squeeze in some music from 12.00 till abt 1.30 am. Fria came in next and just blew everybody away with her female energy and dark taste in psy music. was too tired then so went to sleep…… oke up at 6.30 to come watch Polaris’s DJ set but our friend was unfortunately dead tired from his flight so I had to jump in again and played from 7 am till abt 12.30……. was a lil longer than I had imagined. obviously had to pass out after that cause I was drained……….. sat night started off with Luis, then Allen, Lauryn, TDC and then the main artists……… I only got to the main stage at abt 1.30 when Polaris kicked of with his live set just making everyone smile……… his DJ set came next which in my opinion I preferred simply cause the man makes zero mistakes with his mixes……. It was difficult to spot his mix even to someone who knows the tracks well. Penta was next and just hid all the light that there was on the main dancefloor………. darkness like I’ve never seen before, then again I could have felt that for other reasons………. CPU came on after Penta……… it seemed to me like this man his foot in the electricity socket………. cause his charge just would not die…….. man this guy just ruled the night…… and the day since he stopped at about 9 am…… nikka was next…………. I was shocked by him cause I thought he will make the morning more fluffy but he held strong and continued the damage that CPU did to us……. so basically I just dint stop dancing both cpu and nikka’s DJ sets were just perfect……. but Polaris’s mixing was unmatched….. then came contra vs bezerx hew these guys must have had a nightmare just wondering how they could keep the party going after having such legends playing before them, but that’s exactly what they did……… wow Gadi…….. I was seriously impressed he acid had worn off by then so I left to go sleep a little before Gadi finished. all in all, I couldn’t ask for anything more…………. just perfect babla kagdila NYC
yes indeed a great time although the first night was great the second night was out of there just non stop I can’t even explain what that lineup did for me not to mention everyone else who buy the way made up the best crowd I’ve ever experienced really felt the energy as a whole. Allen plays some really good stuff but I am disappointed with his mixing about 50% of the time (except at Gaian Mind) although I’ve only seen him a handful of times he still did a good job of getting the night started then Lauryn came on with that wonderful ocelot track and continued to relentlessly make us kick up dust. Very impressed. Polaris live was a good change of pace from the brain smashing on Friday night and his funky yet demented DJ set was flawless I didn’t know if it would be matched but it was for hours and hours Penta !!!!!!!!!!! and when CPU came on the space had cleared a bit and it was a more personal setting but thanks to those who shared that experience with me simply wonderful ive never felt so connected to a group of people of which I knew few and sometimes none..
What an incredible event. The deco was awesome, really felt like you were on a different planet. The Chill-out was very well constructed, great music being played there at all times. Unfortunately, my psychedelically inebriated head missed most of the music on the mainstage on Saturday, but what I did hear(Penta Live, TDC sets, Mekkanika) was fucking awesome. The sound was crispy clear, wind added flavor to the bass. The rain was refreshing.TDC put all their hearts and energy into this and it certainly showed, thank you so much!
all main acts perform the astonishing. All DJs blast the floor for sure, nothing wrong just perfect. everyone includes the participants. Max with his laserworks toning everyone appearances with his string installation is very new for me not to mention Lunasamadelic string works volunteering the scene. I dance my a$$ OFF all the time, but the most strong trance set that driven me out of my world was TDC set. I remember it was only about ten people dance at that moment of the last day and add-up a bit more. Too bad Nik© did not made it to play his set in the fest (the only set that I have plan not to miss with any kind of excuses), hope you feel better bro!
Over all thanks to everyone that have help the deco and also giving the energy support to Khusuk Live set. – Daya
………..for all of those who read my rant and rave on NYC 604 some time back about the absurd infighting among the minuscule NY psytrance community …….. THANK YOU, TDC, for absolutely restoring my faith!! Such amazing good energy, and such incredibly high production values…. The sound was unbelievable, the art amazing….. Even Sayed, the owner of the campground, was full of good vibes! These babies are my heroes….. So much has already been written that my words can only repeat the praise… but one thing I can say: nowhere in the world have I ever danced for 15 hours straight – from Luis’s incredible early evening set on Saturday, all the way thru Surrender vs. Beserx, at noon on Sunday, without a stop (except a few minutes of Polaris’s live chillout)….!!! Again, massive respect to TDC and please call on me to promote your events anytime!! My only sadness is that we didn’t see more faces there…. what a great opportunity to have introduced people to what psytrance really is. Still, that being said…..the crowd was so wonderful, like a real family … the way it should be….. A beautiful end to my first summer in NYC! – Daya
Liquid Vision is just too right when he said that the rain was refreshing. Lying on the pier I wondered whether the droplets falling on my face were rain or some sort of liquid induced manifestation of the beats that were slapping me in the face. again and again. Lauryn your music turns me on. THANK YOU CPU, Polaris, TDC. Allen, I enjoyed where your set developed into at the end. Cot’ damn Penta you don’t stop. I literally came to your enchanting opus. literally. The deco was inebriating. I walked into some of the pieces several times. I felt like Mary Poppins jumping into chalk drawings in the park (anyone remember that scene?). Climbing into an artist drawn reality with endless possibilities. Chay you are beautiful. Thank you for giving us a space to get to know each other and ourselves a little better. It’s a funny thing to dance in a room full of people you do not know but that you feel connected to… bila nastoyashaya skazka! -spasibo TDC- yOmY

And now a word from our Corporate Sponsor – Ultracheap drugs guaranteed to make you depending on the product, smarter, healthier, live longer, lose 10-25 of hardened fecal matter in your guts, or get off a lot harder on your l. Our new company has new partners and it doing very well. We’re moving into new Dr.’s offices on the first floor of my building on October 1st. Yes, expect a party. Now in stock – Idebenone, Oxiracetam, and Aniracetam. These are all heavy-duty mind-expanding ds. Lineup expands every week. Limited supplies at the lowest price on the Internet – or we give you free product. We carry Piracetam, which potentiates the effects of l (we sell Piracetam From Erowid. I have been using Piracetam episodically for approximately 10 years. I have a very positive experience with this substance at approximate dosages of 1200 to 2400 mg per day over a period of 4 to 6 weeks, spaced apart 2-3 months. The effects always include improved intellectual performance (I took LSAT before starting Piracetam regimen with a score of 160, I took it again while on 2400 mg of Piracetam with a score of 174. Those of you familiar with LSAT can appreciate significance of this increase), improved ability to study, mild euphoric stimulation (comparable to 1/2 bag of crystal mth, but without craving for more), decreased cravings for tobacco (I’m heavy smoker), increased libido, sense of well-being and general mood improvement. I haven’t noticed any negative symptoms, other than maybe obsessive ‘number-crunching’ if given a chance. However, the experiences I would like to share are related to the combinations of Piracetam with other substances, namely E, l and mthamphetamine. In my opinion these substances produce profound effects while used in combination with Piracetam. E After beginning using E in a more or less regular manner back in 1998, I have rapidly built tolerance to it, to the point that some describe as ‘loss of magic’ effect. In my case it meant that I could’ve consumed as many as 10 tablets within 2 hours, yet still was unable to roll. I have tried to take a break for as long as 3 months, in hopes that I will be able to experience effects again all in vain. Then, after yet another unsuccessful roll, I felt like my brains were screaming for help, so I decided to begin a Piracetam regimen. After 3 days of taking 2400 mg per day, I went to a little rave in the neighboring town. As X was abundant, I decided to give it a try once again. It was unforgettable. 1 smiley face pill (same kind I was trying before) had sent me rolling like the very first time. I have also noticed that I had some visuals, which didn’t happen to me before (mostly ‘star wars light speed’ effects, while all lights suddenly become rays warping you into some amazing tunnel. In two more days I rolled again, and again it was indeed ecstatic. Morning-after effects also seem way milder with Piracetam, e-tardation is not present. Ever since I had no problems rolling. My girlfriend followed my example with similar results. I would strongly recommend using Piracetam to increase the desirable effects of E, while decreasing hangover. After my experience with combining Piracetam & E, I have attempted combining it with other ds as well. I have noticed that it almost kills DXM and K effects. However the situation is drastically different with… LSD. Once again, my tolerance to LSD is rather high, and my normal dosage is 10 to 20 hits, followed by as many in a few hours. LSD is by far my favorite and most frequently used substance, however, I do not use it as a party drug, I prefer to use it as a door-to-another-dimension-trance-inducing-out-of-body-experience-god-awakening-turning-myself-into-input-sponge sacrament. The first time I used l with Piracetam, I only had 4 hits of blotter left, and was unable to obtain more. So I took a single dose of 2400 mg of Piracetam and followed in 2 hours with my modest reserve of l. In 15(!!!!!!!) minutes I began to feel the trip, as a Tsunami wave swallowing me In 1-2 more minutes, I was looking at my hands as they became transparent and disappeared. I was gone: for the next 50,000,000 years (or 10 hours) to the sound of Allure, Van Buuren and Camaya Painters I was flying at light speed through the universe, seeing galaxies and insides of cells, flying along DNA of T-rex, traveling through time, reading some ancient accounting books with regard to transactions in cattle among 17th-century farmers, confessing my love to my girlfriend, stopping the motor of the world (as John Galt) and laughing at founding fathers, desperately trying to make a candy out of pile of shit. My girlfriend, who wasn’t tripping, later told me that I was doing things, like making pizza, coffee, smoking, yet whenever she would ask me something, she would immediately realize how far I was gone. As I began to come back, we went to the lake, then to walk in the forest. I was feeling so wonderful, so happy. In 12 more hours I went to sleep, woke up after 3 hours, refreshed, fully functional, attended all of my appointments for the very busy day and retired in front of the TV, watching Beavis and Butthead. It was one of the deepest trips I have ever been on. And the happiest one. I have repeated this experience many times since, in different surroundings, and details were different as well. Yet all of Piracetam + l trips had one thing in common they were profoundly powerful, although l dosage was 1/4 to 1/2 of what I usually take without Piracetam.
Aaron Peacock: hello im in Austria played a party here. going back to Basel where I live these days. Hungary er Budapest was my last home for 3 months then went to Germany and played on the full moon then sorta landed in Basel. I make music and only go out for gigs and to buy food:) One of Aaron’s CD’s is still available at there’s a nice sample there. I think he was working on music when he squatted with me back in 2001 with his brick. I played a lot of tracks Saturday morning under the bridge and a lot of hard core headz really liked it.

I had an excellent time… the only problem is that the party was on a Friday night, and people were absolute Zombies by the time I left at 7:30 AM….. it was cool to be in the Burger King Next Door and still hear the trance thumping thru the walls. If they had more parties on Saturday nights, so people would be more rested before they go it would be really nice… P.S. How come no laser shows inside the club?

J E R E M Y ( Israel) Jeremy has become one of the most sought after DJs’ in Israel and certain European markets, being the Resident DJ of TSUNAMI (Israel). This is only the second time he is coming to the US, and this time to help us celebrate our Anniversary. Y O N I (TSUNAMI) After having taken part in several of the large European Festivals during the summer, he is coming back in from Spain with brand new music to share on this festive occasion. Decorations by: NAGUAL Creations: Philip (UK and Spain) is coming in from Europe to transform the venue into a 3-dimensional Shamanic maze. Tickets: $25 advance / $30 door
The place was really nicely decorated. Nagual transformed a place into warmer psychedelic atmosphere. The moving lights on top should have been turned off to make it even better. Since I came in late I missed the live set of Talamasca but I heard him many times I know he didn’t disappoint. The sound in the place is nice. The only thing about Avalon that is very not cool is what people are always complaining about. It was magical to see all my friends there. I hope to see you all soon. .-= We are searching for something that is already found us =-. rohr
I went there too.. the decoration was very nice as Mukti said.. Talamasca live was very good, the set was good too… the guy that played after him played good but he made like 2 wrong mixes… but still cool… and the last one DJ was really nice ;D the problem with Avalon everyone know… =( but the party wassss very cool… for me that always go by myself was nice … ;D

As always, good choice of place! I only wish it was a little larger… Deco was mindblowing and original, (as always ) Friendly atmosphere. And of course good music. I liked Iguana’s set the most. And he was very friendly, too.
Killer Party! Thanks TDC for another great event you put your heart and energy into, we appreciate it beyond words Came when Fria was playing was digging her tracks, Naked Tourist totally blasted my mind to pieces, I was really into his stuff. Didn’t really like Surrender’s set but towards the end it was more to my taste. Uta’s artwork was simply amazing, very unique, not your usual psychedelic trance ufo’s and alien mushrooms. The club was nice but unfortunately it was a bit too small for the amount of people that were there(place was packed) and they didn’t let you outside after a certain time but I could deal with this 😛
nice party! this was the first “big” party I’d been to in the city for a number of months, so it was very refreshing to see so many familiar smiling faces and good vibes iguana’s set was infuckingsane as expected, I only wish he could have played longer, like a full 3 hr set or something. and what was that craaaaaaaazy track he played at the end??? loved it our man Gadi was on the money too, not as much my style, but very smooth and definitely had the crowd up and jumping after iguana, so small task slept through most of Babla’s set at the end, sounded a bit too pitched up to me, but maybe I was just out of my head by then, hehehe. and was that a protoculture remix I heard near the end? nice. also, the deco was very very good, the best I have seen at an indoor party in a while. I especially liked the 3d sculpture stuff next to the DJ booth. respect to Nik, Mukti, and all the TDC crew. can’t wait for the next one.
My first trance party in North America gave me the impression that there could be and should be a solid trance community here. when I got to the party, I entered a psychedelic crazy dungeon, naked tourist was playing, ppl went mad from his set, energies were very aggressive, most of his music I could not figure out where is the psychedelia between all the speed drums, it was a crazy dance floor, but I don’t think the music could be listened to, but just hammering people’s cells. then I was disappointed- I expected more scary samples, then only 166 bpm drums, after naked surrender played, it was a very different music and environment than the war befor, true pure sound of high quality full-on, psychedelic and pure sounds, dance floor was more into dancing then brain damage, the mixing was great. boom to ya surrender then came babla- not much of tracks selection- sorry not my cup of tea great ppl, nice place, beautiful deco keep it going
BRILLIANNNNNNTTTT!!!! Another beautifully done fantastic party that left aftertastes until now on Monday!! One more for TDC and still going stronger after the festival bonanza last month….keep it up guys ..this is the right way-Quality Music, Quality organization and out of the world vibe and energy ..Perfect formula and thank you for following it up again.. Big thanks to Craazy Bawi Friaa who played a great opener and of course, the Iguana who just took you on an express elevator in the last hour….un-believable tracks and energy all the way…and Gadiiiii for the morning journey and some of his signature style!!! what else, can I say without the violent she-male who should be kept out of the future parties before she gets KILLED and of course, a word to DJ’s who are not the line-up, show some respect and let an artist close his set and journey as planned because he deserves it and most importantly has earned it!! Please do not take advantage of the close vibe that we all share and ruin it for us near the end of the party…. All in all, can’t wait for the ‘Hatrick’ (3 in a row) on the 21st ……lots of BOOMMM..
I understand that she is a nice person, and a friend. I’ve seen her at other parties, but this is not the first time she is behaving like this. She totally terrorized everybody around her and at such a small club it was a big problem, it destroyed the mood, I don’t think only mine. Isvara, I understand that you couldn’t just kick her out, but I think that as a promoter and her friend you need to talk to her before the next party so that she knows what went on, because I am sure she will not remember anything, nor she would want to behave like this. Staying at the party did not make her feel any better, but it spoiled the mood for others. We come to trance parties and try to feel good energies around, and when you see all the smiling faces around you, moving with the same music, and enjoying it, you enjoy it even more, and seeing fights, attacks to fellow trancers is not acceptable. There’s not that many trancers in NYC, that’s why we all know each other (almost all the faces are familiar), so we are like a family, sharing our love for the music. I also understand that as her friend you can’t just kick her out, but what about all others that she was kicking, beating, yelling, and totally scaring people around? I have nothing against her she is definitely a part of the crowd on other nights, but, I was worried about people that were dancing around her, and I couldn’t relax and enjoy the music and the party because of that. If nobody speaks to her it’s going to happen again.
What a night. I got there 3 hours way too early around 10, but then it picked up towards the end with Fria and then Iguana. There were a few downsides. Not a lot of air conditioning, no toilet paper, no bouncers…. Who was the crazy girl with the white top and pink skirt beating the crap out of everyone that got close to her? She was kicking this dude in the stomach and punching him and others. What the hell kinda drugs do people have to mess themselves with, that they don’t give respect to anyone else on the dance floor with their crazy antics? If there were real bouncers, they woulda kicked her ass out in 2 minutes. Crazy girl: if you’re reading this next time, there will be a good And one more thing, how come everyone knew each other? I’ve seen some people at Spirit before, but it seemed like everyone was a big happy family and knew each other from other TDC parties perhaps? It was an incredible night. Thank you to the friendly TDC people for the night.

DREAMCATCHER PRESENTS: PSYCHEGROUND
SOULAR RECORDS RELEASE PARTY Dreamcatcher and Soular Records are combining forces to bring you a killer party this Wednesday night at the Fat Black Pussycat Lounge in NYC! Our special guest Deeper In Zen hails all the way from and will be playing tracks featured on “Tao,” his forthcoming third album on the Soular Records imprint. Deeper In Zen is infamous for driving crowds into a frenzy with his aggressive, full-on sound, and with every performance, the response goes even more over the top! This is a very special event that is not to be missed… 10 – 11:30 – MIND WARPED (DJ set) Mind Warped aka Kent Friedman has been tearing up the trance floors with his unique blend of melodic, full-on psytrance ever since the release of his seminal album, “Fluorolizard” on Boom Records in 1999. As one of the first U.S. producers to commercially release psytrance, Kent has subsequently been producing massive tracks with releases on Krembo Records and more recently Soular Records. This time around Mind Warped brings us his DJ skills with a warm-up set featuring smooth, psychedelic ambient and chillout leading to a spacey psy dancefloor sound that will get your body moving and prepare you for the twisted sonic journey that lies ahead. 11:30 – 1:00 – Hugh S (DJ set) From the steamy jungles of Puerto Rico to the frozen Canadian north, no dancefloor has been immune to Hugh S’s infectious grooves. yeah, this party came together quite nicely. great vibe, I really felt a lot of energy on the dancefloor. space was obviously a bit too small, but it had a nice “intimate” feel to it, shall we say Lawrence (chromatone) played an awesome set, definitely had everyone going crazy at the end there. and psy planet’s deco really added a lot and succeeded in transforming the space into a psychedelic playground. interestingly enough, the restaurant management was very happy with the party and really wants to have us back (although I think if we do another party there, it should be much smaller scale). the manager kept on telling me he wished he wasn’t working so he could come down and dance with us! this was a real team effort. thanks to theo for bringing it all together, the indispensable Ben Lightomatic for the blacklights, subs, chill out (and hosting a kickass after-party ), dave egbot for a nice opening set and making the trip up, jaime and mel (psy planet) for the awesome deco, and the whole Philly trance squadron, scott for the speakers, and of course lawrence for dropping a great set.

Avalon or no Avalon. I really enjoyed this party. the crowd was decent, I have seen much worse at Avalon. Hujaboy just killed it amazin set both ejekt and on his own. My plan was to leave after huja’s set but I thought ill just stick around and see wat pop stream had to offer and it proved to be a good decision. not many ppl stayed for his set but it was actually quite nice after all the madness with huja it was good to listen to pop stream with his trademark mornin style which just brought a style to my face and all the ppl who stayed evry1 was full on rockin it. All in all a good party …went above my expectations
Upon entry, the dude ahead of us in line got turned away for wearing sweats…a nice taste of Avalon and what a sham it is to have psytrance there. Predictable of course though. Well, we showed up in time to catch a good chunk of Coral’s set. The crowd at this point was a small group of psytrancers and all was well-good music, good people. Unfortunately, the night was downhill from there for me. I think it was during Granddaddy’s set that the jackass in the kilt grabbed my girlfriend’s ass and someone poured what seemed to be an entire beer onto me from the second story. As the night progressed, I became increasingly saddened that psytrance was happening in this environment, as my girlfriend said she had never been harassed so much in her life. (this continued through popstream, despite the conventional wisdom that only cool trancers would be left by then) While hanging onto her solved this, it is some major bullshit to not be able to freely do our crazy little dances. Later, on the second story, I got another beer poured onto me from the third story! (not a little spillage either-someone dumped their beer on me, again.) Finally, the second story was starting to clear out, creating a refuge from the stupidity below…and Avalon promptly closed the second story. Combined with the overpriced everything, inability to refill water (rightly illegal in many places), lack of deco, etc. I plan to never go to Avalon again. Also, a good 75% of the music didn’t do anything for me, but that’s subjective of course so I won’t go into it…besides, I found I had the worst time during the musical highlights because I didn’t feel comfortable enjoying something I would normally love. Basically the better the music got, the more of a travesty it was in my book. Taking something beautiful and shitting all over it is worse than shitting all over something ugly, y’know? Well, I am hella looking forward to Random and the next TDC event to restore my faith in psytrance.
I had some major problems with the sound at this party… while it was better than the Astrix show, I still had a hard time differentiating the mids. I find it depressing that I have better sound at home then I hear at the club. Huja boy’s DJ set was pretty good, though, as was Coral’s set. The other issue I had was the lack of deco… especially noticeable following the tapestries that the Alladin crew hung up the previous week. I don’t count the cobwebs and skeletons as deco, and I don’t think I’m alone in that. Unlike Pete, I didn’t have a problem with the crowd… even at the height of the show it wasn’t that crowded. While I’m sure John wasn’t happy with that, it made the event much more tolerable for me. I had no problem finding spots to dance in. Overall, the only thing that really got to me was the sound…

DID DRUG CULTURES OPEN UP SPIRITUAL WORLDS?
December 2005 Ancient mysteries author Graham Hancock is no stranger to controversy – for his books and TV series generate a fierce academic backlash or their themes become wildly exaggerated in certain sections of the media. Yet he has millions of readers around the world who remain hungry for his profound and provocative insights into the lives of our distant ancestors. And his new book, Supernatural: Meetings With The Ancient Teachers Of Mankind, will surely be no exception – and he’s the first to admit it – as it makes a case for the reality of the supernatural. “Now I’m exploring the possibility of beings which inhabit parallel dimensions we can relate to, I’m likely to get even more flak,” he frankly told me at his 200-year-old townhouse in Bath this week. Graham attempts to explain why, about 50,000 years ago, humans suddenly began to think creatively after having evolved anatomically millions of years before. He believes that it was due to altered states of consciousness (ASCs) triggered by experimentation with hallucinogenic plants, such as ayahuasca, datura root, and the psilocybin or “magic” mushroom. He suggests that art and religion can be traced back to these ASCs experienced by ancient shamans and their communities. Graham champions the view of South African anthropologist Professor David Lewis-Williams that strange symbols and figures repeated in an ancient cave and rock art around the world – including creatures which appear to be part human and part animal – are the artistic record of d-induced trance states in which the supernatural was encountered. To support his theory, Graham went to live with tribesmen in Peru and underwent the effects of psychoactive plants himself. “It was very much a life-altering experience for me because it impressed upon me as never before the relative nature of reality,” he said. “I just can’t be confident that this material world I touch and feel and function in physically is the sum total of reality. There’s much more, and it’s more than likely that consciousness can survive death in some way – it’s separate from the body and a very mysterious force. “I have had direct experience of a parallel reality and I don’t believe my brain made it up.” Graham has found that everywhere through history the same entities have appeared to people in the visions induced by ASCs, accounting for, among other things, fairies, elves, angels and even UFO abductions. But are they “merely” visions, or hallucinations? Graham thinks not. He likens the brain to a TV receiver capable of tuning in to transmissions from other dimensions, or realities, the “spirit realms”, if you like. He thinks a vital message from these realms, left by our “ancient teachers” – non-physical intelligences – may lie in our DNA, where it has been waiting for us since the beginning of life on Earth. GRAHAM said it was essential for him to experience ASCs himself in order to research his book. “I do feel there’s a very important issue here concerning our consciousness and our sovereignty over it, concerning areas of consciousness we are willing to explore and not willing to explore,” he said. “Everything I have learned about this subject has made clear to me the fundamental importance of ASCs. I feel our society is making a very serious error, cutting us off from these areas and demonizing and criminalizing their exploration. “I didn’t have a view on that before. I never really thought about the drug laws, that for taking a hallucinogenic plant someone can go to prison for seven or eight years.” Graham pointed out that our society favored a “problem-solving consciousness”, out of which many good things valued in the modern world, including our economic and technological progress, had come. It was a very important part of consciousness, but it wasn’t the whole story of the human being. “We have been encouraged to value only one aspect,” he said. “There are other areas of experience which we have demonized, which are regarded as d-taking if we seek that experience. I think we are forgetting this at our peril. I think it’s a terrible error. “The right of the state to invade an individual’s own head in their own house where they are not interfering with others – I don’t see that the state should have that right. Having gone through my experience and researched this book on the role of ASCs I have come to feel this is an issue worth pursuing, and I do intend to speak out about it.

VENUE CHANGE FOR BEST OF WEST PART 3!!!! IMPORTANT!!! Due to circumstances beyond my control, Apocalypse Lounge closed its doors last weekend. So. Venue change. the party will now take place at the following Boom (Yes, I know jeff used to do stuff there…) 152 Spring St, New York 10012 Btwn Wooster St & W Bway Unfortunately, the party can now only go till 4; so show up early. Set times will be as follows: Dave Henshaw vs. Karmakanik 11-12:30 Horizon vs. Drizzt: 12:30-2 And Random: 2-4 Due to time constraints, I don’t have a slot for Coral (She knows I still love her though :D), but she’ll be there next time. On the upside, Boom is larger than both Via Della Pacha and Apocalypse, and the sound can go as loud as we want. So. come. dance. and then when its all over we’ll go break into Apocalypse and have the after-party there. Oops. did I say that out loud? 😀 All other details remain the same, and please spread the word. ; D ] On Behalf Of heatfcliff79
I think considering we had to find a new venue 3 days before the party that it ended up working out pretty well glad everyone seemed to enjoy it so much. the music was really nice the whole way through, our man random’s definitely got his finger on a great pulse. and dave and marria of course did a lovely job on the deco. Overall it was just a little too small and crowded for me to get the most out of it. but hopefully, we can rectify this for the next party.

The party was amazing. I had a great time last night. Everything was perfect, from the deco on the walls, the music, the people…everything was in the right place. I was impressed by Muktisvara. I still can’t believe that it was their debut live performance because they played really good stuff and the whole performance was just very well coordinated! I loved their pauses with driving pads and twisted samples. One made me laugh…was it some banjo song? That was crazy I loved it. Great job! No words for that. I love underground. Small parties like this one are the real thing. This is a gathering of people who know music, who know the culture. Please keep doing this because I wouldn’t trade it for any big clubs with a bunch “whatever” people. Thank you all!
Reached around 11:45 and was a little anxious to get started cause it took me almost an hour to come from the city.
Music: Walked into the end of one of the TDC guys (Mutex ?) sets and sounded good ending with a great track. The chill room was nice, enough people to keep it alive but not suffocating. Liked the visuals on the screen about a horse and his enemies TOOL started out nicely and progressed into a crazy systematic sequence of tracks that just didn’t let up. Good mixing too, and he piloted us through the roof with a selection of mind-bending tunes. I guess it was obvious I liked it by the way I was flapping my arms about MUKTISVARA was my highlight of the evening. Mukti and Isvara began to show us that ‘underground’ needn’t seem like a series of glitches but cud also be fun and kooky which was best accentuated by the ‘cracker jacker’ sample. . Plus, Skazi can learn a thing about trying to remix a Benny Benassi track, with the headbanging Satisfaction remix ( not sure if it was a complete remix, coz I only heard the “push me..” sample). Then they kinda ping-ponged on the decks and this is when u realize the quality of the sound. Un- mastered stuff that sounded clean and crisp. CLAW’s appearance made me smile, because of this funny incident. Ever been in a party and dancing beside people you remember their faces without ever knowing them. Played some deep tunnel stuff, that although wasn’t constantly evolving it really sounded good. Good grinding music to make you move. ..didn’t stay long after that, but wud have loved to hear Berzerx and Rachel Decor:(by Uta Bekiaa) Great decor as usual, including the chill room and main floor. I love how the decor is always more intense around the DJ booth. Plus the face masks and the ‘spotted ‘ pillar were wicked Crowd: Saw some familiar faces and some strange ones. Good crowd, well behaved and nobody really made me uncomfortable. TDC guys were all pretty much groovin too along the nite. Cute girls and the occasional KGB looking dude. I enjoyed this party tremendously thanks to the TDC guys.
I had more fun at this party than I can remember ever having at any indoor party in NY since the Sadhus days. Well, actually, Psycheground is up there too but I don’t feel any inclination to try to compare right now, so I’ll just leave it at that… The music was great all around. Kept me in the whole time. I caught the last few tracks of Tool’s set, and immediately I knew this was going to be a good party. Muktisvara, Claw, and Berzerx all played great music that made my body think and my head dance. Uta’s artwork was awesome. I liked how he played with a 3rd dimension in hanging the canvases too, and the alien fetus drinking from its own umbilical cord was pretty wacky. people having a great time, good friends, nobody being assholes, good psychedelic vibe… yeah, TDC is a blessing that descended upon NY. Keep it going! And Happy birthday Mukti! Wow, what can I say! This party was awesome! As a lot of you know I come from Florida for these parties, and its worth it! UTA’s designs were sick! Muktisvara was killer! All the music was great. Rachel, nice touch with that flute! And that county sample by Muktisvara was badass! I switched to spinning Psytrance from Jungle/D.N.B recently and have blown up some house parties. All we have is vocal breaks and trance around here. That’s going to change! I met so many cool people over the last few parties (EJEKT/PARANORMAL ATTACK/SPACETRIBE/CLAW: MUKSTVARA),you know who you are! There are lots of HOT girls at all these parties, that’s always a bonus! I’ll see you all after I get back from Israel! By the way, I filmed this party, and I will try and post a link to it on this forum. It’s not a digital camcorder so I have to figure out how to get it on the computer. If you know how send me an email or post it here. See you all soon !!!! -PEACE
great stuff new york the last party I went to in the city was thanksgiving four years ago – when infected mushroom did not turn up and tristan played a spectacular 6-hour set. however, this party was way above my expectations as all I know about the new york scene is what I read on the forum. the music was great! tool played a great set – some twister tunes. a great way to start the twisted night. Mukti-iswara was VERY interesting… I loved the live set… it took me a little bit to get used to the sound but when it kicked – WOW – some pure psychedelia! CLAW my man – you just tore the party up! flawless mixing – bombshell one after the other – man you know your music! I really really enjoyed your set – every track was more banging than the next. That Tiny Cd Case Of Yours! hahah – I thought that was great! the rolling basslines. and again the mixing! the best part is we were so near you – we could see all the tweaking of the eq which was immaculate! reminded me of neuromotor. an inspiring set. You made the night. The last set – I forget the DJs name – mann claw was a hard act to follow but you pulled it off bro. great mixing – nice morning music. but mann I still had claw clawing away at my brain! haha – thanks for the last evilish track at the end! and the flute! girl you have talent! amazing amazing! I was blown away. The vibe at this party was so uplifting! No choots – just great party people out to have a great night. most of the troopers fought it out all night — truly an amazing indoor party. I had almost given up on indoor parties as I need to see the moon and sun and trees – but wow the people at this party made up for that. the deco was also perfect – although the mirrors at the back freaked me out every once in a while! thanks TDC! Happy birthday Mukti! And boom to you New Yorkers for a GOA experience far from home.
Whack , Whack, Whack..Boom THAT’S WHAT THE PARTY FELT LIKE !!!.. guys this was one awesome party… tool my man.. what do u eat? I seriously want to know. What’s going on in that head of yours?? bro this was one totally destructive and powerful set. This mixing was Ridic.. The music was Ridic.. the Party was Ridic.. and that’s is all cause you got it going !! and then the TDC boys played some amazing stuff live…. killer stuff happening there too.. love all the funny samples and the clarity in their sound !!! some serious potential here.. but for me.. the highlight of the night was CLAW and TOOL !!.. wow.. chp bro.. that was toooo wicked.. tracks with nothing but power .. and I mean PURE POWER PEOPLE….and totally just what was required after the night assault by Tool.. gotta love it.. !!!! we guys are lucky… very lucky to have him..and to tool.. keep going bro.. keep kickin summ butt Boom everyone ..

Pine Barrens
Warning: Incoming Drama – The DMT’s Dan De Maria gave someone $4K early last year to buy speakers for the DMT. The person spent it on their auto insurance after embezzling at least $3,000 from a company I used to work at to pay for their earlier auto insurance. That’s $7K in less than 2 years stripped out of our infrastructure. Within the past 18 months, this person has had to be pressured to pay a small part of it back, but this person has until next week to pay up or their name will be published here. This person is also spreading half baked 3rd hand rumors about someone I know (but am wary of) being a child molester… it’s getting time to call this person out. Disclaimer – I still owe Saad $600 from my legal defense fund.

Every Wednesday! Hey tranceheads, this week is special with killer lineup. Thanks Eggbot Mescalinium and Random for the sets and the amazing deco. Psycheground presents: OHM This Wednesday thanksgiving eve featuring America’s top trance DJ’s. Lineup: From 10:00 t ill 11:30 – LUIS (Dreamcatcher) From 11:30 till 1:00 – BABLA (kaya recor ds) From 1:00 till 4:00 – Special tag team set by DiMiTry (Jagged Sound, OneTribe, Colorado) and LAURYN(Mistica l Productions, Boston) DiMiTry (Jagged Sound, OneTribe, Colorado) A DJ since 1997, DiMiTry first began to air his eclectic collection of electronica at one of the oldest freeform radio stations in the US. Drawing on many years of musical education, he learned how to weave tales with sounds, how to use complex tracks as building blocks for creating intricate musical patterns that toy with the mind and move the body electric. Already a seasoned psychonaut, DiMiTry fell in love with Goa in a magical desert setting during a trip to the Burning Man festival in 1999. Moved by the experience, he decided to start collecting and spinning psytrance. Since then, he has performed at many indoor and club events in New York, San Francisco, and Denver rocked the biggest sound stages at Burning Man, and explored the unknown regions of the mind at outdoor parties and festivals across Colorado, the Southwest, and on the East Coast. DiMiTry plays a wide variety of styles, depending on the timeslot and the overall vibe of the party: from highly psychedelic, twisted madness brewed in the deserts of California and the forests of Sweden to stomping dancefloor bombs, glitchy, sexy psy-funk, and driven new music, and not afraid to pull out obscure and unusual tracks and samples, each set by DiMiTry is a unique experience, not to be missed. Lauryn (Mistical Productions, Bost on) Lauryn’s passion for music has been a constant in her life for as far back as she can remember. She began studying classical violin when she was nine years old. Over the years her musical interests expanded well beyond the orchestral realm, shifting more towards electronic music and, in particular, psychedelic trance. Her love of trance music led her to begin DJing and producing her own psytrance radio show while attending college in upstate New York. In 2002, after graduating, Lauryn moved back to Boston where she helped start Psyforia, a monthly psy event that runs to this day. Lauryn has recently joined forces with Mistical Productions (web mistprodonline.com). She also works with the legendary Acidance records (web acidance) as promotions and bookings manager. In the last five years, Lauryn has played across the United States and Europe alongside such artists as Logic Bomb CPU, Penta, Dark Soho, Grapes of Wrath, and Mekkanikka. She equally enjoys playing driving psychedelic progressive sets, dark funky full-on psychedelic nighttime sets… as well as the occasional morning chillout grooves. No matter the style, you can always expect an energetic set from this up and coming female DJ. this party was fantastic. my only problem with the venue is the lack of a designated dance floor. but the fat black pussy cat is a bar/lounge and not a club—so I’m not complaining. the party was terribly crowded at around 1-3am. Lotsa people walking around, sometimes pushing and forcing their way through groups of dancing people. this was frustrating! but towards the end of the night, we took over the place and blew the roof off. the music was great! Lauryn and Dimitry did a great tag team set. I was impressed. I’ll see you all next week!
The place was totally packed but I had a lot of fun. Funny to see all the trance people were “struggling” to find a place to dance! hehehe Juggernaut sorry, my friend.. I missed your set this time but am sure you started the party really well.. Babla great mixing as usual. Keep up the good work, my man. Dimitry great job.. I enjoyed your set a lot! What was it? Was it salsa? I found myself dancing with some country music at the last TDC and this time, with latin music. hmm.. Maybe I should take a dance lesson before I go to the next psytrance party! Lauryn reat energy! Really loved to see you jumping around behind the deck!! Wish you come and play for us more often.. ll in all, it was fun. Thank you Psycheground crew! Can’t wait for the next week! nd… Karma Cola Wtch out, my friend. “They” are coming for you!

This Saturday 349 Kent in Brooklyn we all cOMe together once again for a very psychedelic event of our collaborated brains shares. Come join us for a very free night at 349 Kent Ave. in Brooklyn. Party starts at 10pm and goes to whenever. This is a 21 and over event so please be sure to bring ID. The party is a 20-minute walk in the cold from the L train questions ? don’t call KIM… call 848 333 7918
Deeper in Zen will be here Dec 9-12 and we wanna hear him. Digital Structure/Spectra’s Gavin will be here in December as well.
The first cop in NYC was shot last week. Isn’t that weird? No cops shot for 10 months. I remember old superhero comics where the hero was always getting a mugger or something.
Oh my God… just when I thought I’ve seen it all… just when I thought I was losing any semblance of having fun with this trance thing… just when I thought I’d go back to powdered donuts and gallons of milk, sitting by my PC playing Warcraft III nonstop, pissing in empty 2 liters… Trance People We Know make it into Vice Magazine. I think it’s from a Goa Trash party. I think the Vice people came because they read the flyer and it looked sketchy enough for them… and I bet this was written by Gavin McInnes, who went on to found the Proud Boys. Serves me right, I went to Vice’s party in Vegas last year when I was at YRB and was seen drunk antagonizing the Billyburg Hipsters while a Thai fashion mogul taking advantage of me (Chompol, I hope you’re not on this list) In case Yuri and Dhea sue, the link is viceland.com/issues/v12n10/htdocs/donts.php They got the wrinkly part wrong, Yuri is a fit, tight-skinned madman whose every other word is “Bladd” (some Russian curse word) and transformed himself from a chubby Russian gangsta.
They drink urine for health, and also believe in Merkaba meditation attracting black helicopters because of the temperature change. Great people, no sarcasm, although I kind of make them out to be a little crazy.
Anyway, I sit at this moment in a chair they donated, and my chemist sleeps on a futon donated by the same. These were the people run outta an Israeli open-air with Goa Gil (I think) years ago for serving fresh-squeezed OJ.. The guy I was going to “out” from last week forwarded me the link. Out of respect, I won’t mention his name, esp. since he’s paid back Dan all but $600. Thanks Kamal!

I’m off… PLUR…
Yea Tool and Fria were unbelievable. The deco was beautiful. This little nook in Brooklyn is really turning out to be a nice place. The sound was more clear than the previous two times and the deco and lights were not so bright as before, which was good. I still would like it a little darker in there. I’m just wondering why a lot of people didn’t show up to this thing. Was it the snowy forecast? And the ones who showed up, showed up around 2. Some advice for the first DJ: please try to mix the tracks seamlessly. There were a lot of instances where the music stopped for 1-2 seconds before track changes but it seemed like an hour to people who are dancing because just when we were getting into it and dancing and moving, it suddenly went boom and we had to stop for the next buildup. There should not be so many long breaks to halt the mood bro. Everything else I liked about you; good energy. My only complaint about this club is the incessant smoking, even by the owners! It especially makes it unbearable because the club is so small and ventilation is limited. I guess no one listens to Bloomberg, huh? By the way, the KGB looking dudes with the blank faces who stand in the corner and the girls who were wearing the dark sunglasses eyeing everyone give me the creeps. If you ever find yourself being ripped apart by a pack of wolves, try not to scream. Everybody knows wolves can smell fear.
well… this party just confirmed that top-notch parties can be done w/ local talent only, w/o spending the big $ for international artists…and in many ways, it’s better this way! here is my personal account… missed Edoardo’s set unfortunately due to a long day of work, but strolled in towards the end of boipeba’s, and I was into it right away, things were really flowing, the energy rising… next it was Lauryn’s turn, and after a slippery start, she quickly found her footing and turned things upside-down AND inside-out! her set made my night worthwhile, not just pounding and scratching but some very nice basslines and more groove than I’m used to hearing…rhythmically complete and diverse set! then it was time for tool and Fria. very quickly they brought the intensity to a new level with paralysis inducing basslines, but things seemed to level off and my sober exhausted brain lost patience so I made an early exit before what I’m sure was to be a cathartic ending. Great party though, great venue, many familiar and old faces, and MIZUE’S DECO, just gorgeous

This was an awesome event. I can’t believe I was dancing so much. A few notes: Music was excellent (including all DJs). Sound system was excellent. The lil Asian girl dancing on stage was sexy including her 3 friends. The 2 projectors pointing at the 2 white column areas next to the bar were too bright. The $3 bottles of water were rightly priced. Good to see a few of the regulars there. It made me more comfortable. Even the girl that beat the crap out of people at the TDC event was making me feel good because of her positive energy, her smile and the fact that she didn’t kick my ass. The BO was overpowering. The BO at these events are so predominant that one wonders how a human being is capable of emitting such deliciousness. Is it the 3 layers of sweatshirts & gloves combined with a scarf? Is it the lack of $3.49 for Arrid Extra Extra Dry XX? Well whatever it may be, one has to marvel at the power with which the BO takes on a life of its own, gathering strength and becoming its own entity throughout the night. It’s as if you are watching the scene from The Mummy where the sand god forms from the desert and gulps everything down. In this case, it’s the BO that’s taking center stage with its presence, gaining steam and annihilating everything in its path. You can practically see it hovering over the dance floor looking to overtake yet another unsuspecting victim. And finally, I would like to thank Alladin Project for this wonderful event who brought in a couple of my favorite international acts… sans BO.
Wow that was one heck of a party. I got there for the end of Severyns set, which I must say was quite nice, Freq was OK to begin but by then end of his set he really had me stomping. Hearing Deviant Species live was a pleasure, and Zion was a really nice surprise. Id never even heard of Zion before this, but definitely was loving his set, real blistering hard psychedelic brain splattering stuff (although I guess he didn’t hear Severyns set cuz he played one of the same tracks). The deco was beautiful too, both the wall hangings (I had to reach out and touch the one under the stage to convince myself that it was actually painted and not a 3d piece) and the 3d art. Those stars made with the fluoro sculpey designs on them were super cool, and the thing hanging from the ceiling in the middle was really amazing (!!!). Finally, I want to say THANKYOU so, so much for not having the roving strobe light on this time!!! In times past it seemed that damned strobe was always there to shine a spotlight on me whenever I least wanted to have a spotlight shone on me. The club seemed overall a little darker than usual, which is a good thing. As for the projection, I liked them better on the wall than on the screens, I hope they keep doing it that way, but I must agree with G0at that the brightness did get annoying at moments. If the VJ could put a cap on the brightness of the visuals to prevent the VJ screen from going solid white (which makes the projector act as a spotlight) that would make it perfect.

Tue, 20 Dec Treating depression, drug addiction – now available We are celebrating the 10 year Anniversary of Brainmachines with a new direction – shock therapy. There are many many studies that have proven the efficacy of this treatment, and now for the first time we are offering this exciting and affordable technology at web nootrition.com Also new are Audiostrobe CDs that work in conjunction with our Sirius and Proteus units. Cranial Electrical Stimulation Cranial Electrical Stimulation (CES) is basically two electrical prods that go on each ear and is performed for about 20 minutes a week. CES supercharges your nootropics stack, synergizes your neurotransmitters, and increases brain hemisphere coherence electronically. The CES Ultra has two electrical configurations with two different frequencies: 100 Hz and 0.35 Hz. They are set using a dipswitch in the battery compartment. The frequency of choice is the 100 Hz which has the largest body of evidence as to efficacy behind it. It provides a gentle and calming tingling sensation, though it may also be used below the sensate threshold. The 0.35 Hz setting operates at a lesser amplitude, generating very little actual sensation, but with a more subtle impact. The user may pre-set the time for either configuration for 30 minutes or 45 minutes, at which point the current will automatically turn off, or to have the unit run continuously. From The Townsend Letter for Doctors, June 1993 Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) is the application of low-level pulsed electrical currents (usually less than 1 milliampere) applied to the head for medical and/or psychological purposes. There is now over 20 years of medical experience with CES in America. Presently, its use requires a prescription by a licensed health practitioner in the United States. It is available without a prescription throughout the rest of the world. Cranial electrotherapy stimulation has also been known by many other names. Transcranial electrotherapy (TCET), neuroelectric therapy (NET), alpha sleep, electroanalgesia, electronarcosis, and the original electrosleep just a few of the more common terms that have referred to the same therapy. Cranial electrotherapy stimulation was first called electrosleep because it was thought to induce sleep. Rabinovich, a Russian, is given credit for making the first claim for electrical treatment of insomnia in 1914. In 1957, In the U.S.S.R., Anan’ev published the first paper on CES. The first book, simply titled Electrosleep, was published a year later by Gilyarovski. This generated a high degree of interest in the then-known Eastern Block countries and CES was soon adopted as a treatment modality. In 1959, Obrosow reviewed the CES literature and published the first American paper on CES. By 19 66 the first International Symposium on Electrotherapeutic Sleep and Electroanesthesia was held in Austria. The use of CES had spread worldwide by the late 1960s when animal studies of CES began in the U.S. at the University of Tennessee, and at what is now the University of Wisconsin Medical School. These were soon followed by human clinical trials at the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio, the University of Mississippi Student Counseling Center and the University of Wisconsin Medical School. . The most comprehensive review of the research in CES published to date is a chapter by Ray B. Smith, Ph.D. in the book, Neural Stimulation, published in 198 5. Dr. Smith has been researching CES since 1972. He concluded, “There are 40 studies of CES readily available in the U.S. in which the dependent variable is reliable. When these are examined alone it becomes apparent that CES is effective in alleviating symptoms of anxiety, depression, and insomnia …CES appears effective as a treatment for withdrawal in the chemically dependent person. Other promising areas of treatment are in hypergastric acidity and migraine headaches. Dr. Smith adds CES appears to be safe, with no harm or negative side effects having been reported to date in controlled studies…Finally, while one usually assumes some placebo effect from treatment as dramatic as this, none has been reported in studies controlled for this effect94. Scientists at Harvard have recently analyzed all the literature on CES worldwide, and have also found it to be an effective therapy although they are holding their findings confidential until their results are published. Open marketing of CES devices began in the 1970s in the U.S. for the treatment of anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Several thousand Americans are treated with CES annually by thousands of doctors and it is estimated that more than 50,000 people in the U.S. own CES devices that have been prescribed for home use. No adverse effects or contraindications have been found from the use of CES, either in the U.S. or in other parts of the world. As with all electrical devices, caution is advised during pregnancy and for patients with a demand-type pacemaker. In addition, it is recommended that patients not operate complex machinery or drive automobiles during and shortly after a CES treatment. In addition to the usual claims for anxiety, depression and insomnia, CES has been researched for many other conditions. Favorable results have been reported in the literature for labor, epilepsy, glossalgia, hypertension, spinal cord injuries, chronic pain, arthritis, cerebral atherosclerosis, eczema, dental pain, asthma, ischemic heart disease, stroke, motion sickness, digestive disorders as well as various addictive disorders including alcohol, heroin, cocaine, and marijuana abuse. Since we know that pain is a complex process involving the brain, it make s sense to add CES to the treatment of most pain patients. In fact, in many cases, it is all that is needed to produce significant long-term pain relief. Cranial electrotherapy stimulation is believed to stimulate the production of endorphins. It probably also affects the hypothalamus causing changes in the hypothalamic neurohormonal regulatory mechanisms and the reticular formation of the brain stem. The reticular activating system is involved in a myriad of behavioral expressions from alertness to sleep. This “attentional center” plays an important integrative role in the functioning of mind and body. Cranial electrotherapy stimulation devices are generally similar in size and appearance to standard transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulators (TENS), but produce very different waveforms. Standard milliampere-current TENS devices must never be applied transcranially. CES electrodes can be placed bitemporally, bilaterally in the hollow behind the ears just anterior to the mastoid processes, or clipped to the earlobes. This depend s on the device being used. Most CES devices produce a pulse repetition rate (PRR) of 100 Hertz(Hz) which was what the original Russian devices used. Some produce a PRR as low as 0.5, or as high as 15,000 Hz. The current is usually increased by the patient until a mild tingling sensation is felt at the electrode site, or slight vertigo (dizziness) is experienced. It is then aDJusted back down to a comfortable level below that which produces vertigo or an unpleasant feeling of electrical current. It may take a few minutes before the current needs to be reduced. Generally, a treatment time of 20 to 40 minutes is best, daily or every other day. Immediately after a C ES treatment, patients usually report feeling more relaxed. Some people feel somewhat inebriated for the first few minutes. This is a pleasant and very comfortable sensation. After several minutes to hours, the light-headed feelings usually disappear, the relaxed state remains and a profound sense o f alertness is achieved. This relaxed/alert state will usually remain for a n average of 12 to 72 hours after the first few treatments and then becomes cumulative from a series of treatments. Most patients relate feeling more relaxed, less distressed, while their minds remain alert and even more focused on mental tasks. They generally sleep better and report improved concentration along with heightened states of general well-being. Now available at web nootrition

TDC Underground – Datakult
DATAKULT (Nabi rec, Mother Of Pearl rec, Tantrumm rec, France ) Live and Dj Set Raphael Befort a French artist who has passion for trance music since he got involved into the psychedelic scene around 1992. Soon after, feeling the need to create music, he started learning composing with Ben (Odds/Flying Rhino). Later, he formed Droidsect with Digital Talk and Monsterplant, defining a new direction in psytrance. But after a few years of intensive collaboration and some releases on labels such as Parvati s of psytrance. After experimenting with some other styles ranging from electro to hardcore, he’s coming back to the psyscene with his solo project DA TAKULT, with the unique Goal to create a strong psychedelic experience. Always playing with extremes, his music is dedicated to impact the mind, pushing the limits, no matter the damage. Antena ( Israel ) Live Set Moshe Iva n discovered trance music in 97, after going to underground parties all over Israel. Very soon he too was infected by those heavy tunes and decided to dedicate his whole time to psychedelic music production … Since then he has been working very hard on creating new sonic landscapes in today’s psytrance world. all DJ’s doing top-notch job… man, what a party… TDC guys did it again… datakult’s set was so fucking crazy… I really feel bad for everyone who missed it… I don’t even have words to explain what you guys missed… One word for the party……. INTENSE!!! Mad-Orange, Antena, & Fria did serious damage to my body, and then Detakult just killed me… Thank you TDC crew for a great Christmas present. sigh I didn’t enjoy myself at all. I got a damn headache midway through Antena’s set and the rest of the night was fighting the damn pain. What a bummer! Then to top it off, I had to step out every few minutes to get fresh air and soothe my lungs from the incessant smoke. What a lineup though. Awesome music from Antena, Fria and Datakult, but it was all ruined by the damn headache and I had to leave earlier than usual. By the way, thanks “Santa” for my glow in the dark toy. P.S. Charging $7 for a cup of cranberry juice is nuts. Just had to post again… I’m still buzzing on Datakult. Serious shit, man… this guy is a real talent. I haven’t danced in that freak-out kind of jumping up-and-down arms flailing way in YEARS. And from what I saw, I was not the only one. Some of the sounds are ones that when I tried to analyze it I could have said it sounds like other common sounds and blah blah blah… but the way he used it was so tasteful, and the sounds had a wide range, and were unique and textured, and behaved in natural yet alien ways. The way he brought the dance floor up and down and around and in and out… Yes, Datakult definitely shines in my book now. TDC, thank you for bringing the sounds of this artist to my ears. had a really good time at this party nice decoration, good sound system crazy people, blasting live from antenna, and killer mix from Fria, all the dancing people and the smiling faces really made me happy to be here thanks to tdc crew and tantrumm records for making this party

We use Optimum Online for cable/phone/broadband Internet. That is $50 a month each to share. Light smokers OK, a cat is OK although I am slightly allergic, cleanliness and sharing chores are a must, i.e. you should never leave dirty plates in the sink. Rent is $650 a month. If we haven’t ever met I’ll need references. You must be gainfully employed, independently wealthy, or willing to work long hours. If you are seeking a limited timeshare let me know. Con Ed is about $40 a month. Call me at 1-347-405-5518. If you’re interested. I will be gone Dec 22-30 and would like to find someone ASAP.

This (and every..) WEDNESDAY come celebrate the last party of the year here’s the lineup: from 10:30 til 12:00 MATHIAS (reality engine) from 12:00 til 02:00 GAVIN (digital structures / Sweden) from 02:00 til 04:00 LUIS and JUGGERNAUT(Dreamcatcher NYC) DJ Gavin Gavin has been DJing since 1998. After a few years of practicing his skills, he began to accept gigs and began to hone his style. In the year 2000 Gavin moved to New York City to continue his DJing. Gavin’s dance music passion was sparked by underground house, trance and techno. After attending his first trance party in New York, Gavin became inspired by the new sounds he heard and began DJing psychedelic trance. By 2002, Gavin was exploring more progressive sounds. The funkier style of the Scandinavian sound was becoming his forte. Reaching back to progressive trance and house influences, Gavin began to incorporate the psytrance sound with some different flavors. These days Gavin plays a wide range of music. Expect everything from pumping progressive, to psytrance, to deep morning trance, all mixed with precision and a natural feel for the dancefloor. Festival and club gigs have taken Gavin all over the globe. Notable stops include performances in Brazil, Casablanca, Marrakesh, Zurich, Geneva, Cologne, London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Croatia. North American appearances include Cancun, Vancouver, New York, Seattle, Philadelphia, Boston, and many more. In 2004 Gavin left the U.S and moved to Europe to continue his career. He’s now a label DJ for Digital Structures, one of the most respected trance labels. Gavin is an artist who loves what he does and takes both pride and pleasure in sharing what he considers to be the most innovative music around. Hey, great party I wasn’t that much excited but the party was really cool, the crowd over there was pretty nice (at least for me they were cool)…IM for the fifth time in my life, and I can see they won’t change soon … always the same thing.. but anyway pretty cool … Elnadiv was the name of the party, congratulations dude, u played a really good set, pretty dark I loved that… just one thing… why the hell before IM play, all I listened to was House, or Proggy House… some shit like that.. why don’t put JUST PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE in the main room.. I cant understand that, for me, that thing stinks… How can somebody that is there to listen to psy warm-up before the Live presentation? I think that it was the only bad thing I saw.. good to close my year since I won’t go to Goa Gil.. happy new year for all Isratrance members… a really good year and a lot of psytrance for us

Goa Gil was amazing, lots of people from all over the country (Chris aka Belgian Goa Madness from LA, Tammy from NH) but ultimately I got scared off by the relentless BPMs (I wasn’t worthy!)
and went to 55 Lex where I saw ABA Records (JAPAN)’s Kenji Williams play a morning set with his violin. Definitely the best party there ever. But that was small comfort because had I stayed to the very end of Gil I would have been able t ensure he’d have made it to the afterparty. Thanks Eric for the great shrimp crepes, etc and thanks to everyone – El Nadiv, 55 Lex, everyone – for an amazing weekend. Almost everyone I spoke too had a great experience seeing the master play for the first time in New York – it must be seen and heard to be understood.
well, the last post was my review but here’s a better one for the most part great people I didn’t see anything fucked up going on except the occasional thoughtless tugging on the art one guy even gave the one painting a sharp tug when he went by what could you be thinking to want to do that. Yes the beginning was kinda annoying but if people were patient and accepting they could enjoy it I was wedged against the wall in the lobby for 30 to 40 minutes waiting for jeff but what’s the point in bitching and getting pissed off those are such counter-productive things the one girl was screaming at the club staff I’m not sure what about but you can attribute that to the longest delay. the staff there was fine. you had the typical crowd not as many familiar faces as I suspected though. The art was great the two paintings nearest to the door were amazing and the way the stage was done how the string grid extended from the painting that really made me stare it gave me some sort of 2d illusion of the stage I liked it many times from the distance gil looked like part of the painting the floor was either sticky or slippery but again this is small nitpicking to make a review none of these negative things put a damper on my mood or night now we know gils mixing skills arent the best but that didnt matter this music went way beyond dark or fullon im gonna guess at the least 150bpm my only issue with some of the tunes is the breaks being to abstract at times and the bass destroyed my ears im very carefull about going deaf because no ears no producing or listening I dont want to even think about that happening so I would rather have the volume lower that way less ear damage and you can hear all the sounds clearer after leaving there was a loud humming way beyond an ear ringing and I wore earplugs half the time the level of intensity he brings is unmatchable as for the comment saying some of it was blatent techno id have to disagree I could hear a stronger influence in some tracks but by no means as cheesy or oldchool sounding as techno if thats what techno sounds like than I guess im into techno this had much more depth and layers than a tchno track there was this guy in the back room who was trying to mess with me and my girlfriend but not in a haha goodtime way when we got up to leave he told her to have a good year and have fun but dont get pregnant what the hell is that supposed to mean? I dunno. I could go on forever but my first post summed it up wow. great art the floor had a good vibe mostly and the music and feeling he projected was wonderful as for the people complaining bout Alladin fuck it you guys got Gil and Neil Gibson to come to NY and they did a killer job so congrats to Alladin project and thanks to the people there who made it an uplifting experience this event has completely added to my mind and music I came home and started a track as soon as I rested and what cam out of my speakers was far more advanced and energetic than ever before this event made me see what my production was lacking in some areas so keep your ears open and see if you can hear the influence. thanks again -Chuck-
