Chad was a legend in the psytrance scene with a diverse background. Everyone loved him. Devoted father. And from chasing solar eclipses to skydiving, his life was full of adventure.

Chad grew up in South Africa. He was, to quote a message he had sent me, “40% Portuguese, 40% Polish, 15% Hunter-Gatherer African. and 5% Indian.” I mentioned the H1D2 Dopamine Receptor genetic mutations in Kalahari Bushmen that cause ADHD, as opposed to the mainstream Bantu, and he was like YUP!
While most people start eyeing their bucket lists in the later decades of their lives, Chad used his as his starting point. He got into the electronic music scene in the late 90s. His biggest passion was following the solar eclipses. He moved to the US to skydive, where he met his wife. He was a good family man and loved his two children dearly, who are now around 17 & 20.
Chad was a legend in the psytrance scene. Had massive amounts of friends all over the world. Everywhere we went he knew all the old heads. All the artists.
“In 2009 about 22 of us shared a large squat called “The Mansion” in Peckham, London. Chad was there, it’s how we met. Even back then his kids were always on his mind.”

Chad was a regular at outdoor events at Gaian Mind in Pennsylvania and in the Pine Barrens. He really liked this Super Mario track from Naked Tourist, so i burned it for him:
Chad was also very spiritual and loved conspiracies. We went back and forth with them a lot, but he was never militant about them.
Chad had a rough breakup with his wife in 2019/2020 and ended up going back to South Africa for a few years. He came back to the US in April 2023 and worked at a skydiving center until he passed in his sleep on a cold night.
“You always had a free spirit. Now you are flying with our creator.”
