Another great concert by dakhabrakha. This time at the White Eagle Hall (thank you Olga Levina for bringing them to Jersey City). I am so happy to be a small part of their US adventure. In 2009 good friend of mine, Gosha Danilov, gave me their CD’s and asked me to help bring them to the US. I booked them at Joe’s Pub later on that year, July 2009. Unfortunately, they did not get the visa to come to the US then, fortunately I passed their CD’s to Isabel Soffer from GlobalFest and World Music Institute and the rest is history. Today they are probably the most successful world music band touring the US. Listening to their concert now, during the Russian aggression on Ukraine, adds totally new dimension. Slava Ukraini!
