“It is congealing into one psychedelic-driven movement”
I’ve been looking for this online for several decades, and it recently became available on Youtube. It’s from CBS 48 Hours with Dan Rather in 1993, an episode on LSD and the nascent rave scene. It’s funny, because Dan Rather went to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville and reportedly took LSD himself.
I used to play it on VHS for my friends in the early 1990s when I lived two blocks from Limelight. I must have seen this hundreds of times. Johnny Hooks, the raver in San Francisco, I knew from the Houston club scene. Sadly Johnny passed in 2019.
Incredibly well done, one of the all-time greatest programs on LSD ever made, and pretty balanced considering it’s CBS in the early 1990s.
