Exhibit A: The Streisand Effect
When one attempts to cover the truth, it becomes more conspicuous.
-Chinese proverb 欲蓋彌彰
This is all possible because the underlying business of the media has become terrifyingly vulnerable to coercion.
Somewhere out there, Dan Rather is crying and Ed Murrow is rolling in his grave. And once you feed the orange beast, he won’t stop wanting to devour you.

Not that anyone was watching.
Outside of local news, I don’t think too many people under 65 are watching legacy media.

There was a time I would have applauded this but it feels like the Internet has unleashed so much weirdness. Terence McKenna was correct. It feels anarchic and so decentralized and fragmented like that David Cronenberg film eXistenZ. And we haven’t even seen DIY biohacking happening yet.
