Don’t take this clickbait title too seriously.
Granted, Carl‘s style of mixing worked better on older psy/goa. The more modern style of psy production sounds worse when doing lots of busy mixing. (thanks, Dave Sainai)
And Carl Cox could make country & western sound good.
But watching him here makes me realize DJs like him operate at a whole different level. Rather than somewhat lazily going from track to track like so many do, he back to backs fade ins and different types of transitions – he uses his whole bag of tricks, all the time.
A real work ethic.
