Back in the late 70s or early 80s, I sat down at a computer at Radio Shack – or maybe Sears. It was probably a TRS-80, Commodore 64 or similar. I naively started trying to converse with it, typing, “Hello, computer.”
Reality finally caught up!
I was barely out of knowing Santa Claus isn’t real, so I assumed the computer was like HAL and knew everything.
I had no idea it was so BASIC!
