Great article from a respected conservative. This outlines perfectly my dismay that modern conservatism has collapsed, and in its stead a weird authoritarian hateful beast has arisen, making a mockery of the Ayn Rand capitalism I have always held dear, and ironically paving the fastest path for a democratic socialist future.
With Trump’s election, the waters have not only been poisoned, but feces have been tossed in the well. Republicans should not be surprised when the Democrats start to respond in kind. And as Democrats are more educated, numerous, diverse, truth based, and value expertise, it will be a one sided fight. Kavanaugh is just the beginning. The doddering elderly white curmudgeons who are still stuck in the 1950s won’t know what hit them.
