If vulnerable patients are going to take powerful hallucinogens, they deserve better evidence.
The bubble is popping. There’s still too much woo-woo with enthusiasts on one hand, and unprincipled tech bros on the other. The problem is like a psychedelic quantum observer problem – how can you clear-mindedly study psychedelics if you are ON THEM!? Or done them recently. Weird Catch-22.

I’ve heard crazy stories behind the scenes about the cottage industry, but I haven’t reported on them because don’t want to upset the apple cart with something I feel will be ultimately valuable that just needs its kinks worked out.
There’s something about Western minds that when they trip really hard, they wanna share it with the whole world.
