Since the 90s, Hillary Clinton and George Soros are two of the right’s most favorite punching bags. With Hillary in retirement, Soros is the enemy du jour, and he is the go-to bête noire for antisemitic tropes.

Ron] DeSantis, the number one challenger, does the same thing, does the Soros thing, the same ‘Jew-backing’ this Black man — and one used the word ‘master’ — I think that was [Rep. Elise] Stefanik and whatnot — that’s the stunning talk.”

Whenever anyone says the word Soros in a derogatory light, replace it with the word “Jew,” because that’s what they mean.
Yet these numbskulls (Trump, DeSantis, and other MAGA Republicans) can’t even get their facts straight. George Soros never paid a cent to Alvin Bragg.
But if the Jew fits… it’s a telephone game played by baboons.

Derpowitz disagrees with the attacks on Soros as anti-Semitic, but he has always played the archetypal contrarian Jew, similar in a way to the Devil’s Advocate that Israel deploys in its military intelligence, but to far greater societal harm.
He loves to go on far-right wing news outlets and giving them the red meat they want to hear. On Newsmax, he also repeated a debunked far-right conspiracy theory that Soros was a Nazi collaborator. “He’s not much of a Jew, first of all,” Dershowitz told the Newsmax hosts. “I mean, as you know, he worked and collaborated with Nazis in his native country when he was a young kid.”
He also claimed on Breitbart, without evidence, that former President Barack Obama “personally asked the FBI to investigate somebody on behalf of George Soros.”
Derpowitz went a little Giuliani in his later days, beating the self-annointed Devil’s Advocate role into the ground. He, Gwynneth Paltrow, Jeffrey Epstein, Harvey Weinstein (who Derpowitz defended) and Woody Allen are on my hypothetical Jewish celeb shit list.
