Patrick Swayze, Drew Barrymore, Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal, even Seth Rogan plays one of the bullies. One of the best coming-of-age 80s films. And in the age of Netflix’ Cuties controversy, a statement is made with Sparkle Motion.
Spoiler: You won’t get it first viewing. Easily the most convoluted sci-fi mechanics ever.
This film almost languished, but Doris at Two Boots Pizza in New York put it up as a midnight showing and birthed it into cult status.
It should be watched at night, alone.
