The Garden of Eden myth common to many cultures is the nostalgia for hunter-gathering. In the symbolism, Eve, a gatherer woman, led hunter ADHD Adam from the wilderness onto a miserable, predictable, monotonous farm, where Eve could gather all the time without wandering. Much like humans who domesticated dogs, Eve crafted Adam in her image.
OK that is getting a bit too incel. I was being a little boorish here, because climate change and volcanoes almost wiped us out, and farming may have saved our species.
But an incel could posit that this is the ur-reason for male resentment of women.
The forbidden fruit would be science, but that’s another analogy.
Oh, and the Great Flood was the melting of the glaciers in the last ice age, which would have greatly alarmed early humans.
