Why I am a Zionist

Updated 3 months ago

My primary goal in life is to make the world safe for my Jewish son. Teach him to embrace peace, but stand your ground and fight back if necessary, and avoid extremism like the plague. If he were half Palestinian, I’d say the same thing.

More broadly, Newton’s Third Law, every action has an opposite and equal reaction, isn’t confined to the enemies of Israel. Jew killers prove Zionism’s point.

In the context of the Holocaust, when two-thirds of the Jewish population of Europe were murdered, “Zionism was not the triumphant battle cry of a victorious ethnic group,” but rather “a weird, crazy, desperate stab at survival” made by those who foresaw their impending doom and despaired of other options.”

Israel is committing genocide in Gaza? Please. Get over yourself.

Casually throw around the word “genocide” often enough, it loses its punch. For context, if Arabs suffered the same fate as the Jews in the Holocaust today, 190 million Arabs would be sent to the ovens. (~60% of Jews lived in Europe at that time, and 2/3 died)

After that happened, wouldn’t they deserve even a postage-stamp-sized parcel of land that they had lived in for at least 4,000 years to call home?

This is why those who attack Israel and Jews for just trying to survive in their home, after such a colossal multi generational slaughter, bloodlines lost forever, entire branches off your family tree vaporized, are to me some of the most despicable people on the planet. Denying the right to a Jewish homeland after they had almost been wiped out, while running interference for Hamas while it throws its gays off of rooftops, is textbook antisemitism at its very core.

I posit the same sympathy for Armenians (who have a home now) and to a lesser extent, Kurds, who don’t.

It didn’t have to be this way. Jews and Muslims can live together peacefully. They already do in Israel, right now. which is 20% Arab. You won’t see that reciprocated anywhere else in the Middle East. The Jews were killed or driven out.

Time and time again Palestinians in Gaza had their chance at prosperity and peace, and they threw it all away, burning the greenhouses, slaughtering their animals, turning the gifted factories into bomb making facilities, and pumping out Jew hating soldier-children. They could have had a Paris on the Mediterranean. They chose their fate.

This is why I have zero sympathy for them. Children dying? How about blame Hamas, who brainwashed them and use them as human shields? The world is not perfect, but Israel has a right and the moral authority to defend itself. Everyone deserves a home, but if you try to kill your neighbors, you most definitely do not. The entire population of Gaza could be put to cinder in about an hour if Israel wanted it so. Do you think Arabs would be so merciful, as they have with the Houthis in Yemen (sarcasm)?

This is also why I have no sympathy for America for re-electing Donald Trump. The election of Hamas and Trump prove that democracy is very powerful, as it can be used to improve your life… or commit suic*de.
