April 7, 1983 to September 10, 2011 (One day before 9/11) Abel threw a lot of trance parties with international acts in Juarez, Mexico. He dated Kati before she moved up to NYC. He came up several times. Kati and I joked that they called it “Psycho Trance” and after seeing a video of their party below I can see why!
On Facebook, for some reason, he is listed as Abel Fernando Ramirez Aranda.
His organization was called Psytek and brought major international talents, such as Son Kite and Ticon.
He got randomly shot in a Juarez bar. His killer was found and sent to prison for 35 years.
Incredibly, his brother has kept the tradition alive and started a psy club in Juarez, using Abel’s tapestries as permanent fixtures!
