Biologists ask the big question: Is it time to update evolution?

Updated 2 years ago

We are probably more plastic than previously thought.
Life isn’t merely DNA replicating itself through offspring… it’s a lot more complicated… “cells can use a range of molecules to control which of their genes are turned on or off, through a process known as epigenetics… The quality of food a woman gets while she’s pregnant can influence the size and health of her baby, and those influences can last until adulthood… These traits can be passed on. I suspect even sexual preference (twins – one is straight one is gay) is part of this epigenetic cloud between nature and nurture.
Still, just a hypothesis at this point.
