d. March 2020
Today while doing my monthly searches for long-lost people, music, and videos, I ran across some sad news. Gary was a popular guy in the early 2000s. He had shoulder-length black hair. Gary took a lot of professional photos with a nice camera at Synthetic Sadhus, Tsunami, Goa Trash, and Omnitribe that are now sadly lost to time. Gary was great. He always had a big smile and cigarette for me. It’s too bad, really, that the breadcrumbs on the Internet I laid for Gary were never found, and I don’t even have any photos of Gary that were taken by other people, but I will treasure the good times we had.
My son Gary Toro died of Covid 19 in March 2020.
Gary was born in New York City. He graduated from The Art and Design High School in Manhattan. He studied Kung Fu and earned two belts. He was named Mr. Olympia during the time he was bodybuilding in Forest Hills. He enjoyed making bagels and pastries.
Gary was found dead at the stairs of the Rego Park train station. A good samaritan tried to help him but he was already deceased. He was brought to the Forest Hills Hospital. He carried all his documents and cellular phone with him but I was not notified. A family member did his own investigation for me and found out all these details and that he had already been buried on Hart Island.
I am 79 years old and cannot make the trip to visit his gravesite by myself. I need to bring his remains to a location in the Bronx close to me. I don’t have any money and moving him will be costly. Any help would be much appreciated.
