I met Jerry and his wife Debby in the late 90s at the dawn of the New York psytrance movement. Although a mechanic/HVAC tech by trade, Jerry was also an artist. Along with their fellows from Connecticut, Optical Delusion (who went on to later work with Spectra), they projected video as “Quantum Sonic” at raves and psytrance events, and can still be seen on flyers from that time, including this one from House of Trance in 1999:

They also played at T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi’s first bridge party in 2000.
Jerry is survived by Debby and their families.
They were friends with Terry Hopper, a friend who was a radio personality in New Haven.
We had many adventures together both at my apartment in Times Square (where we had one legendary neuronautic afternoon), my place in Brooklyn, and open-air events. They loved the music and held the community close to their hearts. One time Jerry told me very solemnly that the music helped to heal him.

“My friend Jerry Bousquet has died this past weekend. I plan on attending to the wake and funeral; the details which haven’t been disclosed yet! My sympathies to his wife Debbie and his father and immediate family.
Jerry was a musician, songwriter, and general party organizer who brought lots of smiles to his friends and acquaintances. He created an album of wondrous songs uniting a band of merry men and musicians which will go down in history for all to hear and enjoy.
He had a never say die attitude and was a joy to be around. I will miss him beyond words…”

This was in an email he had sent me in April 2020 that i didn’t have a chance to hear the song he attached because I was was so busy with this site. He asked me to get the word out and I didn’t. Sorry, Jerry, wherever you are now, that I took so long:
“Hey, I sent u a tune we did a while back, the words I channeled sitting in the bathtub it came to me, I yelled Deb get a pad and write this down! It turned out well in the studio, Terry is on drums too
