The funniest moment in the very funny 70s.
Total raunchy political humor from the Ford administration in the 70s, in the spirit of Groove Tube and The Kentucky Fried Movie.
This film clip above from the 1977 film Loose Shoes was inspired by Earl Butz:
He said this in front of documented racist asshole Pat Boone and soon-to-be-Republican Sonny Bono, both of whom, I’m sure, laughed. Dorced to resign by all the Woke RINOS! Alcohol is a helluva drug. To make things worse, after resigning, he was later convicted of tax evasion and spent some time in federal prison, where he hopefully lived up to his nickname “Rusty” Butz.
Now imagine you saying something drunk and stupid, and 50 years later people are still making memes about it.
As for the parody, Sammy Davis Jr.-style topical humor usually has a shelf life of earth shoes and Peter Frampton posters, but the catchy big band Cab Calloway/Minnie the Moocher-style tune carries the day.
It must be said – the woman in bed in the beginning is a very good sport.
Black empowerment at its best.
