“I think it wiser moreover not to keep open the sores of war, but to follow the examples of those nations who endeavored to obliterate the marks of civil strife & to commit to oblivion the feelings it engendered.”

The only argument should be dynamite vs C4. The South lost the Civil War. I like winners. And celebrating one of the very people whose explicit aim was to dismantle the nation? LOL history repeats itself. Germany learned its lesson and destroyed reminders of its shameful Nazi past. Many Americans apparently didn’t. And don’t give me that slippery slope George Washington crap, the same trope was used against interracial marriage.
The sooner these snowflakes come to terms with losing the war the better. Accept it and move on, or we will go down the path of Yugoslavia in the 90s. Keep tearing the fabric of America apart Donald. We are coming for you. Just like Milošević, you will answer for your crimes.
