PUTIN’S BABY ABORTED: CRIMEAN BRIDGE BOMBED
Cost of losing the Moskva: 750 mil USD
Cost of the bridge: 3.6 BILLION USD. It crosses a tectonic plate covered in 60 meters of silt! And 70 mud volcanos!
That’s FOUR Moskvas. This was Putin’s baby. And it just got aborted.
Well, a little bit. Of course, this is only one bomb. The bridge is gargantuan – 12 miles. It will be rebuilt. Then bombed again. Pretty sure they will give up trying to fix this until Ukraine recaps Crimea. I am sure the cost to rebuild it will be far, far greater than the cost of the kamikaze drone.
But it’s a great start!
I’ve heard conflicting reports as to the weapon used – a drone, or a truck. If a truck, did the driver get away? Or was he a suicide bomber? (Like that Ukrainian soldier who blew himself and a key bridge up in the early days) Or, sneakier still, did the drone hover until it found a fuel truck!?
So much hand-wringing over past several months over why the Ukrainians didn’t target it. There were myriad reasons a lot of them game theory (see video below)
Well, they have now.
And now there’s just a shitty ferry. You think Russian troops in Kherson were trapped? LOL
The world-class Russian logistics are going to have fits untangling this mess.
And I bet Russians are canceling their Crimean vacation plans right now.
Just the thing to do before a counteroffensive (unless this too was just a feint. Some Ukrainian black magic.)

Edit: If the Ukrainians didn’t bomb it, as is often the case with vainglorious projects, nature could have, eventually. The strait lies on a tectonic fault with 60 meters of silt and 50 mud volcanoes. The fault, it’s turning out, coincidentally separates the East from the West. (And yes, Ukraine is officially part of The West now! Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the club!)
Land is emerging from the Sea of Azov. Maybe some NFT crypto bros will start a libertarian paradise on one of the new islands.
Corners were cut. And we have seen what corruption does in the military.
I have a feeling at some point they (the Ukrainians) are gonna have to hire a multinational (possibly a German one) to come in and fix Putin’s mess.
Prediction: it will be rebuilt and refurbished with international donations after all this is over (you know its gonna keep getting bombed, maybe even by the Russians at some point “to keep the globalist woke devils out”)
