“Over the past thirty years, the Americans had thirteen wars spending 40.2 trillion dollars”
We are now almost 20 trillion in debt. Had we not fought those wars – all of them pointless – we would have a 20 trillion SURPLUS now – enough to outright purchase a tenth of the globe (going by wealth here).
Let that sink in.
But today we fight like rats over budget scraps.
One of the richest men in the world has some good advice for the US. If we drastically cut our military, what would happen? A. Other countries pick up slack B. We would save trillions C. The world wouldn’t go down the drain
“Perhaps it’s time to buckle down, stop wasting money on bombs that cost $1 million each, and start placing the money into a new world of technological advances, including solar powered roads, graphene bridges and wireless electricity. Plan for the future and spend accordingly.”
With the budget noose tightening, something has to give. Looks like it’s gonna be Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. But hey at least the president can lob Tomahawks at Syria with the push of a button.
