I will not even attempt to summarize this great man, but will leave with an anecdote. A bunch of us New Yorkers met Sasha at a Horizons conference in New York in the late 2000s. I was drinking back then, and for once I did not feel bad – he reportedly drank a bottle of wine a night with Ann. And there he stood, on the stairs, smiling and affable. It was an honor. Be sure to get PIHKAL and TIHKAL “pickle” and “tickle,” both must-haves on any neuronaut’s bookshelf.
